great stay spoilt by feeling ripped off by wine prices in verve restaurant, House bottle of red almost £20 and a glass of rose` over £7. Great experience spoilt by proffitering.

Reception staff were extremely helpful and very smiley happy girls which was needed after my harassed journey. The hotel was lively and had I not been travelling on my own I would have gone to the bar myself. Breakfast was very good and room service was excellent if a little pricey. OK hotel with some simlpe things that would make it much better. Main thing is staff do not seem to know to talk to paying customers. Breakfast, no butter or marg, so asked if they have any, response was no we are waiting on a delivery. There is a ball of butter floating in some water you can have. No apology but never saw putting balls of butter in […] a dich of water before?? Staubucks in Lobby asked for an ice tea that was on the menu board, we don't have those, so asked for the other flavour, a sigh issued with we don't have those either. Again it may not be the servers fault but handle it correctly apologise and show some attention. Gym now- asking what I need to do to get in when someone behind me shouts over about the drinks machine, the guy helping me leaves goes and talks to him explaining what to do to buy a drink and leaves me standing not even acknowledges me or I think realises he did anything wrong. Last small note, nice enough refurbed rooms, but pump soap dispensers attached to the wall like a travel lodge?? Not good for this price. Læs mere

We expected a higher standard. Basic cleanliness needs attention, the bedroom entrance and bathroom door had spillages with greasy finger prints on them,the bedroom carpet was stained, walls had some marks and the room generally dusty. Some of the public areas needed refurbishing as they were a bit tired looking. There was a disturbance on the car park […] in the early morning, which woke most of the hotel up, it seemed to take ages for the hotel staff to deal with this. Breakfast could have been better, bacon swimming in fat, kitchen staff did not check if dishes needed topping up or not. On a positve note the bed was clean and comfortable. Læs mere

The hotel was in a great location for the Merryhill Centre which was the reason for our stay. The rooms were clean and we had the superior room which was a great size considering we had a 2 year old with us. The only downfall for us was that the people next door were noisey all through the night and you could here every word...so not as good as sleep […] as i was hoping for. The breakfast the next day was great, buffet style and was adequate for what we needed. Læs mere

Lovely hotel very convienent to the motorway and attractionions in Dudley. Rom very good but needed the duster may be that they were doing alot off deccorating down the corridor .Evening meal and breakfast exellent

Lovely Hotel, bit of a cleanliness issue with dirty trays left outside the lifts all night and morning but otherwise everything lovely.

Great service with very helpful staff. Room was clean and very comfortable.

The Village Hotel was very good. We enyoy our swimming, they treated us with respect. We really enjoy the meal. The rooms were nice, clean and tidy. Thank you we are looking forward to visit again.

Whilst the facade of the hotel and all the public areas (bar, reception, restaurant) are modern and clean, the rooms leave something to be desired. The bathroom was dirty, had cracked tiles and the grout was badly stained, whilst there were hairs in the bath and dirt all around the overflow. This hotel is very comfortable and in a great location, and the facilities available were great. It has a nice SPA which made it a very relaxing stay. The breakfast is was also of very high standard and a great choice too. However, there was a wedding taking place that evening I stayed and the music was played until early hours of the morning. The music […] could be heard clearly and in addition to this the noise from the Pub was also very loud. If it wasn't for the music it would have been a great stay. Læs mere

We stayed at this Hotel for the second year running and found it to be excellent, facilities are very good, staff helpful and breakfast choice more than most other hotels in its class, if i was to be super critical I would say that some Air-Conditioning in the bedroom would be nice, but all in all a very good hotel well worth a visit.

The village in Dudley, is a very clean & friendly hotel, with loads to do. Room was clean and the bed was super comfy. In the morning the we went down for break fast , the staff were very attentive and polite. You can have anything from cereal, danish pastry to a full English and you can eat till your hearts content.... Real mice place to stay. Would […] recommend to a friend. Læs mere

The lobby and lift carpet of grey plaid looked very tired and dated. The very dim lighting in the bedroom and the dining room gave me a headache. What were they trying to hide in the shadows? The beauty salon was closed on sunday and monday - surely these should be the main times that they are open? The food in the restaurant was sub-standard - we were […] served hot half-baked bread - what was that all about? The rooms needed sound-proofing - we could hear evrything from the adjoining rooms.
