Hotel Deca - A Noble House Hotel - Seattle

The hotel was perfectly fine. Room was clean and fine for one person. The view was great. It was really nice to have a coffee shop right downstairs and it was great that you needed a room key to use the elevator but it was the staff that made this hotel stand out for me. The front desk scheduled a car for me from the airport to the hotel. They let me […] know about local restaurants that delivered to the hotel. They have shuttle service to the local sites. The room was over 80 degrees, making it too hot to sleep. When speaking with hotel staff, they stated the did not turn on air conditioning until summer.

I should have booked it through Hotels.com first. My stay ended up being for 7 days and for first 5 I paid direct to hotel. Hotels.com was 1/2 the price and they even upgraded my room. From now on I will only use Hotels.com for booking all my travel.

I really enjoyed my recently stay at Hotel Deca in Seattle. It's not in walking distance from downtown, luckily I had friends with cars. There's lots of construction going on in the area at the University, hopefully that will be completed soon and is surely out of the hotels control. I loved the modern design of the lobby and the classic design of the […] rooms...very classic decor and comfortable surroundings. Great art work, and a cafe downstairs that was perfect for my stay - coffee and an array of goodies! My only complaints are: the lighting in the bathroom was all wrong (made it hard to do makeup), and there was damage on the walls in room 1206 that they clearly covered up by cutting up a section from the wallpaper and pasting it over the damaged area. Specific to the hotel food: The breakfast was overpriced, cold when it came out, country potatoes so dry you couldn’t eat them, scrambled eggs were undercooked and slimy, and they had the place packed with only one server. I would never eat there again, I would rather eat a pastry and cup of coffee upstairs in the Tulleys shop.

I didn't realize how spread out the different areas of Seattle actually are (my first time there). So I was a little disappointed that I kept having to hop on the freeway to get places that seemed so close on a map. That's just poor planning on my part. The U district is nice though, and there's plenty of shopping, cafes, etc within a few blocks of […] the hotel. Staff was friendly, room was good for the price (pictures make it seem fancier than it really is, but it's definitely not run down or anything). The staff at the hotel were very helpful and accommodating. They provided complimentary transportation within a 4 mile radius, great with maps and directions, and arranged for return transportation to the airport. Very friendly!

Loved the location and close proximity to the University. Easy to wake up in the morning and take a run on the nearby Burke Gilman trail. Also enjoyed the nearby shopping at the U. Village and good restaurants nearby. Our room on the 11th floor had a beautiful view of the water, Olympic mountains and the space needle. Enjoyed the Tully's coffee shop […] on site. Læs mere

We stay there often and always love it.

We were in town for a University of Washington event and this was the perfect location - walking distance to campus and surrounding restaurants.

A very pleasant stay at DECA during the Easter weekend. The hotel is situated in the heart of the U District - which was where we wanted to be! But it is also close to downtown by bus (which run every 10 mins for $2.75) The hotel stands taller than any other building in the district and the blue neon strap around its top is an excellent aid to navigation […] at night. The hotel is tastefully decorated in an Art deco style. The mountain view rooms have a good view of Mt Rainier and you can also catch a glimpse of the water (which is within an easy strolling distance) The shops in the U Village are high end and we were seduced by the retail monster too often, but otherwise the area doesn't have much by way of attractions or entertainment. It is a heavily populated student area - which gives it energy and a sense of safety. The hotel room was spacious, bright and airy with good in room facilities. Being in the heart of the U village brings you closer to the 'buzz' than you might want to be at bedtime, but we didnt feel in any way disturbed The staff was most helpful during our stay. I would definitely choose Deca again.The complimentary parking was a real bonus in an area where spaces are difficult to find. A good choice! Læs mere

We stayed at the Hotel Deca for one night. The service staff was VERY polite and helpful. Within minutes they had arranged a complimentary shuttle for the next morning and a town car to the airport for later that day. The lobby is grand with comfortable chairs and couches. The room was very clean with a nice corner view out over the street. The bed […] and chairs were very comfortable. We only had two minor problems: First, we could not turn down the thermostat low enough to get the room cool enough for our sleeping comfort, so we had to open a window; which was OK until the next morning when we woke to the chirping of the pedestrian crossing light on the street below as it cycled back and forth. The other issue was the lack of sufficient power outlets in the room to run the existing fixtures and three chargers for our phones and tablets. Still, a nice place to stay. We will go back. We enjoyed our stay. Room was comfortable. View was pretty. And we were right across from our destination the NEPTUNE theater. Definately worth the stay.

Great boutique hotel in the heart of the University neighborhood. Staff was extremely friendly, room was spacious and well maintained. Excellent experience.

This hotel was affordable and I was immediately upgraded upon arrival to a king size bed. The room was surprisingly large and comfortable, with a sofa in addition to a desk and TV. You cannot beat this place for proximity to the University of Washington. Rooms are pretty and comfortable - loved it!

Our stays at Hotel Deca have always been very enjoyable. The rooms are always very clean and the staff extremely pleasant. If there is one thing I would like differently is the work space in the bath rooms. Beyond that there really is nothing to complain about. This hotel exceeded my expectations and I will definitely stay here again. It is close to all of the University District. I actually attended a meeting at the Wa History and Industry Museum, 1.3 miles away, a 20 min. brisk walk (the shuttle van was in the shop). Nice place, especially if you are visiting UW. A little noisy at night, but we had a room right near the elevator.

Very Clean and close to UW medical center. Shuttle service up to 4 miles. Staff was very nice. Would stay again if in the area.

Hotel provides shuttle to local business. It was just what we were looking to find. Our daughter had an appt at Children's. It was perfect. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful

Our stay was wonderful, the beds were comfortable and the room was nice and cozy. The service provided by the staff was top notch and the convenience of the shuttle was invaluable to us.

We were celebrating our 30th anniversary and the staff was wonderful. Ryan drove us on the shuttle downtown and when we returned there was a great bottle of wine in our room. Not tone out done the next day Alex B left us another bottle of wine and breakfast vouchers. Will be staying there again.

Whatever you do, check in before the night clerk comes on duty and have your confirmation printed out. Arrived at the hotel late night tired & feeling ill after a long flight was delayed 2 hours only to have to argue with the night clerk about what was included in the special booked on this website. Gave up so I could get to bed. Next morning, turned […] on my laptop, took it down and showed the day staff that he was wrong. I've considered Hotel Deca my favorite Seattle hotel for 10 years. My last stay in early Dec., '11, was the best. I kind of stumbled onto a private party hosted by the Hotel and a startup coffee roaster, to promote the coffee brand. Not only was I welcomed, I was also given a pre-party gift of approx $30.00 of coffee beans and branded mugs, even when […] I initially asked if I could buy it. The inside of hotel is modern and was decorated wonderfully for the holidays. We wished they had some festivities for New Years Eve, but the lounge was closed. Its close to the college and walking distance to restaurants in the area, just be careful if walking around at night.

Nice 3 day stay. We were in Seattle for New years and it was our first time - the hotel's location is close to points of interests, at least our interests.. Our room is nice and comfy with a nice university view. Will no doubt come back if visiting Seattle again. We were happy campers :)

Enjoyed our stay, felt very elegant. Only down side was that the coffee maker leaked water everywhere, so I felt bad that it made a mess, but fortunately was on a tray so it was contained. A bit loud with sound coming in from the hallways, but such a great building, and WONDERFUL sheets/bedding/towels.

Friendly staff, great location across from concert venue, many restauants and stores in district and in-house restaurant served delicious dinner and breakfast.

If your child is studying at UW and you want to visit, this hotel is very convenient. The only disappointment was the hotel restaurant. Because the area is geared towards students there is a lack of good eating places and we were hoping to eat in the restaurant one night. It was completely empty in the evening and again in the morning at breakfast which […] made it cold and intimidating. We decided not to venture in. We fully enjoyed our stay at Hotel Deca. We spent quality time in the Lounge for breakfast and a cocktail in the evening. The workout room provided exercise in the morning. Tully's coffee shop in the same building as the hotel was convenient for a coffee or snack. Overall, the hotel, staff, and amenities were adequate. A small thing, though, was a bit annoying. The batteries in the remote control were dead, so I left a note, but it was completely ignored. So, for a two-night stay, my remote never worked. I am in Seattle often to visit my daughter and would definitely stay at Hotel Deca in the future.

Best hotel for service and comfort in the University District.

Free Wifi, clean room, nice view, close to university and associated shops and pubs. Took about 7 minutes to drive to Pike Market. On the down side an in room movie was $18 and there were some small things missing, like hand cream and house keeping forgot to replace the face cloth they took to wash.
