Fint hotel. Venlig betjening. God beliggenhed. Man kunne ønske, at morgenmad var inkluderet.

Both rooms were quiet and we enjoyed the kind and helpful staff. Breakfast seemed a bit unorganized and food came for some at the table and not others. The fare was good. Overall a very good experience.

Room was cold. Noisy at night however grand for overnight stay. Would not recommend for romantic getaway !

very confortable and clean hotel in the heart of Dublin.the only problem was the noise from the nearby bars. I had to wait until 4 o clock in the morning for the bars to close and then sleep

The room I was first given was unacceptable (a few steps from thye front door). As soon as I closed the door, I realized that I could hear every word spoken at the front desk. Within minutes I asked to be moved. This was not received well by the desk clerk but eventually I was given a room on the third floor. The walls are paper-thin. My next-door neighbor […] was not a problem but the housekeeping staff was very loud. The room itself was comfortable. Harcourt St is a very high traffic area for night-clubbers and they are out until about 3 am. That was ok for me as I am an evening person myself. Good location for shoppers. I didn't care for the requirement that I had to make a reservation for breakfast! How would I know what I would want to do in the am? Besides, it was overpriced. forget about sleeping from 9 am to 5 am . Super loud.

coming back to hotel after a day/nigh out was a nice and pleasant walk. Very clean rooms specially bathroom, water pressure was as best as I have experienced. Overall, very satisfiedl.

Hotel was very competitively priced in a fantastic location in central Dublin 5min from Grafton Street on foot. Excellent nightlife in the area. Hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful. This hotel is ideally located for getting around Dublin.The room was clean and well mantained and the staff heipful and polite.my only criticismwas the breakfast was poor in standard,. a short walk much better can be found at a much more reasonable cost nevertheless I would stay here again

Our second stay in Harrington Hall, brilliant location, and free parking practically on St Stephen's Green is extraordinary. We requested a room at the back, because we had read the reviews about the noisy street, and we're given a really large room. It is within walking distance of Grafton street, Dublins main shopping street. It is beside the luas tram line with nearby nightlife. If you want a quiet room ask for one at the rear of the hotel as noise from those on the streets attending nearby nightclubs might keep you awake. Great location close to St Stephen's Green and the heart of Dublin. Irish breakfast was the highlight. freshly cooked up until 11.00 in the morning and piping hot. Single beds were a tad narrow it must be said

Quiet place near the main attraction with free parking

I only stayed here for one night but the staff were lovely. It is extremely central in Dublin to alot of locations. I would stay here again.

We stayed at Harrington Hall over Christmas Eve and through Christmas Night. The accommodations were beautiful, and the entire staff was absolutely lovely and hepful. The proximity to Saint Stephen's Green and Grafton Street made Harrington Hall a perfect choice. While all businesses and restaurants were closed for Christmas, our Christmas breakfast […] at Harrington Hall was perfect. We look forward to our return some day. Our only suggestion is that given it may be a bit warm during the summer, some A/C might be needed. Our only "reservation" in giving Harrington Hall our highest recommendation (which actually we do!), is that we'd love to keep it our own little wonderful secret (but that would be selfish, indeed!). to many nightclubs close by.

It was an OK 2.5 star hotel but no where near 4 stars. The biggest problem was the twin beds were very narrow and lumpy. The least one should be able to expect from a hotel is a comfortable bed. They also still use blankets and bedspreads. My experience is that most 3 and 4 star hotels have converted to duvets with clean duvet covers for each new g […] uest. Læs mere

The good: the hotel (on foot, and by public transportation) is very accessible, and convenient to St. Stephen's Green, and many pubs, shops, and restaurants. The staff is diverse, accomodating, and polite. The rooms (in the back) are fairly quiet and are clean. The bad: via rental car (and without a GPS) this is a very difficult place to find. Note* […] Dublin in general is difficult to navigate in a rental without a GPS (and even then can be difficult). The back rooms still hear noise at am. If you do have a rental car, there is parking, but it's reallllly tight. And lastly, although the hotel staff is courteous, two things put me off. First, they all but demand you hand over your room key before you leave. They say its in case you lose it, which makes sense, but it's a bit annoying to hand over the key and retrieve it if you come in and out a lot. Also, check it is at 3, and our flight landed at 7 am. I had called ahead earlier in the week to request early check in, which was granted. Yet when my elderly mother and I go there (at 9am), we weren't able to get a room until after 1pm. Læs mere

What a charming little hotel. The room was lovely - spacious and clean. You pay for the central location and with six night clubs in the immediate vicinity, it was a little noisy at closing time. All thing considered - a hotel worth recommending!

For a real "Georgian Dublin" experience. Reasonably priced. Friendly staff. Good location. Second time there and will certainly go again.

This is a delightful, traditional Irish hotel. The location is superb for Dublin tourists as it is adjacent to both the downtown shopping district and the tram system. the staff could not have been more helpful and breakfast was a treat. I wasn't sure when I booked this hotel whether we would be too far from all the areas we wanted to visit. I was pleasantly surprised that everything was within walking distance, and what wasn't was easily access by the hop on / hop off bus which stopped not from from the hotel. I had read one of the reviews prior to booking, and made sure I requested […] a room at the rear of the hotel, this proved perfect as you're away from the street. The location was terrific..just a few blocks from Grafton Street Mall..we could walk easily to other sightseeing spots. Charming old hotel, staff were very pleasant and accommodating. Requested a wake-up call and taxi for our early morning dept and both came precisely on time so very efficient and reliable which was really appreciated. Loved the small […] and authentic Irish feel to this charming Hotel .. a very refreshing change from the big chain hotels. They even loaned us an umbrella as were leaving in the rain! Real deal for the money. Quaint hotel (little dated) close to city center. Convenient to get to from the airport too. Room was always very clean, staff friendly and accommodating. Would consider staying here again if I was to return to Dublin.

We had heard good reports on Harrington Hall with some negative comments regarding noise until 3-4am We decided to risk it and booked on the internet requesting a room at the back of the hotel as was suggested by a previous guest who had found the room very noisy, however relatives had been allocated a room away from the street noise and had not been […] disturbed at all. As we are in our sixties and travelling, the idea of being kept awake until 3-4 in the morning did not appeal. However we were staying on a Monday and Tuesday evening so we anticipated the noise levels might be quieter than on the weekend. We were right. The room was spacious and lovely and the Hotel was like a stately home furnished very elegantly with a lovely breakfast room with pleasant staff. I do think the internet access could be given with no charge as are lesser hotels of this type however we enjoyed out stay very much. There is also a family of foxes living in the churchyard accross the road which was interesting when they walked down the street. Læs mere

Overall a good and pleasant stay in hotel. Good located to discover Dublin. Between 2 and 4 in the morning very crowded on the street. Ask for a room on the backsite.

I hesitated to write a review as i would hesitate to book Harrington Hall again. My room was basement level at the front of the hotel and i could not sleep due to noise. The room and bathroom were spotless and very comfortble but the noise from trams and nightclubs ere a definite negative. My sincere regrets CM

This hotel is nice enough, not in the best of conditions in places but perfectly acceptable. The problem is the street that it's on - there are 4 nightclubs and between the hours of 3-4.30am the street noise is terrible, with taxis making a racket. The hotel was well kept. I was disappointed to be put in the basement,even though reception said it was a quiet ,very nice room not in the basement. But it was! B1 was the room number! Otherwise the room was well appointed and the bathroom modern with a great shower. There were nice toiletries provided. The room service food was not very good, the soup […] was like hot water! This hotel is very pretty and quaint. The room was spacious and clean. Hotel staff were very accommodating. But it is across the street from several night clubs and pubs which are very very loud when the pubs close at 4am. My parents were in the next room and they changed to a room in the back and said it was very quiet. So ask for a back room.

It was pretty loud outside in the streets our first night (a Thursday) between 3-4:30am due to the nite club across the street. Otherwise the location was excellent and the price very reasonable. We asked to extend our stay by 1 more night but they were fully booked and unable to extend. We would stayhere again.

What a wonderfully decorated and located hotel!! I had a lovely time here using the Harrington Hotel as a base for my recent visit to Dublin. The Hotel was very central to both the city centre and the tours outside the city. The Harrington Hotel is an excellent hotel with lots of amenities and is close to St. Stevens Green and central Dublin. However just down the street is a bar with a youth clientele served by cheap drink promotions to attract the student age-group. The results are predictible with ong line-ups to get in policed by security checking IDs and then when […] sufficiently liquored-up and at closing time the rumble moves to the street. We stayed in the Hotel on two occasions at the beginning and end of our Irish trip and were, in general, well satisfied. We had great rooms at the back of the building but even there had to choose between open windows for fresh air and peace and quiet. We met folks who has street-facing rooms who moved out after one night because of the noise. The evenings were cool when we stayed there and thast sept some of the crowds off the street. I can imagine it would be even more of a problem in the summer. The bottom line... great hotel. great location, bad neighbours. Hotel managemetn needs to address the noise problem in order to keep guests satisfied. Læs mere

Rooms on the street very noisey at night

Definately not a 4 star hotel; quite worn; very inconvenient parking; poor location; would not return or recommend

We stayed at this hotel and we were delighted with the value,the location and the ambiance. However, at 3 am the local rugby club emptied in the street outside our window and 5 lanes of taxis collected the noisy crowd over a period of an hour and a half. The noise of the car horns was the most distracting but we got very little sleep as a consequence. […] If there was no event near by we would be happy to go to this hotel again. Læs mere

I went to Ireland with my aunt and as we were going to cover most of Ireland by car and stay in B&Bs along the way, I wanted our stay in Dublin to be a bit special so I decided to go for the 4 star Harrington Hall(which on the website looks fantastic) I must say that from the moment we arrived it wasn't anything else but pure disappointment. We had […] booked a twin room. When we arrived a large group had arrived and priority had been given to them so my aunt and I had to take a room with a double bed. Not an issue really as we know each other well but the problem was that the bed was the smallest double bed I had ever seen and we pretty much ended up sleeping in each other arms! I had to ask for a second blanket for us twice before I got one. You would think that they could at least have offered free breakfast for this inconvenience but no. The second night, the hotel suggested that they could put in a second bed in the room which we said yes to. When we came back from town, they had put a tent bed in the room(an old rickety bed that was so low off the ground that I could might as well have slept on a mattress on the floor) The room we were given was on the top floor and we had a ceiling window with no curtain or any means of keeping the light out so it was bright daylight in our room at about 5.30am every morning. The room was old and dated and lots of cosmetic faults everywhere; marks on the walls, chipped skirting boards etc The TV was tiny and the reception was poor so we could really only view three channels properly. The tram goes non-stop at night(it seemed anyway) and the location is very noisy. The car park was not really visible from the road and a right mess to try and get in and out of. So what were the positive points with Harrington Hall? Well, I will say that the staff were generally nice and helpful and the fact that you are a 5 min walk from Stephens Park and Grafton Street is of course great. This beautiful hotel was a bargain for what we paid for it. The location couldn't have been more convenient for our needs. Staff was fantastic.

Good bit: Great great location, so close to the best side of town. Great shopping, eateries and pubs. Great staff, great parking facility, easy to find. Bad bit: Was very hot in the room and it's on harcourt street, the main student bar street. We stayed on a Tuesday which is students night so the noise from students and taxis beeping all night was […] impossible to sleep with and you'll wake up to the sound of the Luas tram first thing. But that's the price you pay for great location no matter where you stay. So just knock yourself out with a few beers or whatever you're into. Læs mere

It took an hour to get to the hotel due to the horrific one way streets and loops. We were not the only ones, several other couples had the same problem. One couple spent one and a half hours locating the hotel. While the people were lovely and the room too, a disco across the street (Tuesday night) was blaring and moved into the street until 4:30 am. Stayed April 19th. 2011 Positives: Convenient to Grafton St. (5 min. walk), hotel is along trolly line which makes it easy to get to the suburbs and shopping there. Clean and pleasant hotel with excellent staff. Room service dining available as well as a pub with food nearby. Breakfast, both full Irish (eggs, bacon etc.) and continental are available […] in the hotel. Negatives: Extremely hard to get to because Dublin has made the inner city a maze of one way streets. It took us almost an hour to find how to get to the hotel. A GPS for inner city Dublin is a must, and even our brand new one did not have all the new one way streets. All this is no fault of the hotel. There is a night club across the street from the hotel which is open until 3:30 a.m. Not too bad if you're in the rear of the hotel, but an issue if you're in the rooms along the street. Parking is in the rear of the hotel, and is VERY TIGHT within the hotel "lot". We had to leave our keys with the front desk in case they had to move our car. Egress in the morning was not a problem. Overall, a good place to stay with some caveats about getting there. It's very convenient for getting to the city by public transport. Læs mere

Hotel location excellent. Two minutes from St Stephens Green. Staff couldn't have been more helpful. Pleasant, thoughtful and patient. Were very knowledgeable about Dublin, its transport services, shopping, entertainment. We asked for, and were given, a quiet room which was comfortable, elegant and spacious. Beds comfortable.
