I've stayed in this chain many times, but my room this time had a terribly moldy smell! It was late at night when I checked in, otherwise I would have changed rooms.

"Nice Place"
This is a great family hotel. Easy access to surrounding shopping centers and the highway. Staff was friendly and the breakfast was great, especially for the kids.

The hotel is on the same street. Close to great shopping and lots of good places to eat. The room was spacious and updated as well as very clean.
"Not the best stay I've had at a Hyatt"
Fitness center was not clean, with blood smears on the equipment control panels and apple cores left in the drink holders. Hairdryers did not get remotely warm and when we requested a new one, we were told that this was to be expected of a new one also, as they had already rec'd complaints. The free 'hot breakfast' consisted of oatmeal or toast. otherwise […] you had the choice of fruit, cereal or yogurt...not impressed. This was my first time staying at a Hyatt Place. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They also showed me where the breakfast area was, where the elevators and the fitness rooms were. "This isn't my 1st stay at a Hyatt Place location"
The only complaints I have is 1) thre needs to be a curtian on a rod to section off the vanity area from the sleeping area and 2) they need to add some source of protien to the breakfast buffet. Take the lead on that from Holiday Inn Express. If these two things were fulfilled, I'd give ALL my business to Hyatt Place everytime I traveled.
"Easy 15 minute drive to downtown"
My stays at Hyatt Places have been consistently good. Pleasant staff, good breakfast, spacious room for 2 guests (or 4 students if you're traveling with a group of HS kids). You'll have to drive to get to restaurants but it's an easy 15 minute drive from this southside location back toward downtown. "Good, Clean, Reliable, Quiet"
Never have to worry about a Hyatt Place. Overall, a better deal than Holiday Inn Express, but competes in the same market space. This one is par for the course. Breakfast is the same as they all are. Perfectly acceptable, but nothing special. Definitely recommend it.
"Great place to stay"
Excellent value for the price. Breakfast is good but typical for a value priced hotel. Their prepared food is marginal. If you want a full course meal you'll need to look elsewhere but the hotel staff are helpful in finding exceptional restaurant establishments close by.

I was only there overnight, but all staff that I came in contact with were friendly and helpful. Room was great, bed was comfortable, overall it was an A+ experience
"great service"
This was the 3rd time this year that our family has stayed at this hotel. It's well maintained. Superbly staffed. Customer service is obviously one of the main focuses as each employee you encounter is more than willing to help with whatever the need. Its also an ideal location for any attraction located in South KC or Overland Park.
"Hyatt Place convention center- not the best"
Well we stayed there for 8 nights and 7 of those nights I was awakened no fewer than 5 times by slamming doors. I would suggest they install slower closing hinges for those guest who are unable to close a door properly. Then the cleaning crew, awaken me at about 8 every morning, which seems very odd as I am sure there were other rooms that could have […] been cleaned. Plus the rooms them selves were covered in dust. I selected this hotel for it's location and promised perks, like am breakfast. The breakfast however was not worth the previously mentioned inconveniences'. The dining area is very small and crowded and the offerings were not kept full very well. Anyhow if you are looking to relax a bit on your stay I would suggest a different location. Læs mere

"Nice Hotel"
The Hyatt Place was nice and we enjoyed our time there. We have no complaints. It was a safe and clean place to sleep for the night and the free breakfast was a big plus. We will probably stay here again in the future.

We had never stayed at a Hyatt Place before but we were very impressed. The hotel and rooms were spotless and everything in very good condition. Fitness room good. The hotel and room was very nice. We did set off the fire alarm when we tried to turn on the heat. Lady at front desk was very nice and let us know if we tried again and it went off again she would send someone to vacuum it out. The breakfast was kind of disappointing but it was free so it was good enough

"Handicapped room"
I have booked this hotel a number of times in the past year. Overall the stay this time again was favorable but the room was different. I knew they only had a King room available but it was a Handicapped accessible room and the bed was in no form King size. The bathroom....yes....very King size and accessable for a wheelchair. There was an odor next […] to the bed that was best described as old urine but the room looked very clean. The only bad part of the stay was both saturday and sunday mornings, the hotel had a number of middle school age soccer boys who found it necessary to loudly run the exit stairs and up and down the hall frequently in the morning hours disturbing our rest. Our room was on the first floor next to the stairs and the side exit of the building. Sunday morning not only did they run by regularly in the early morning hours, at one point some of them thought it funny to pound on our door. They even took the little card we had put in the key slot indicating "Do Not Disturb.On Saturday morning, a parent was standing outside the entry door smoking. As I went outside to see where the boys ran to, the parent commented they "were just boys having fun". I witheld any response as a parent with a lack of respect for others in that manner would be a waste of breath. I did mention the incidents to the desk staff and they admitted having to address the rowdy youth during their stay. For the future maybe the staff could be more proactive and advise the chaperone's of groups of youth that courtesy for others will be expected, and lack thereof will result in their group being asked to leave the premises. "Really liked staying here and the decor was cool!"
We stayed here for a family weekend on Labor Day and we really liked staying here. The decor was really simple but stylish, the room was twice the size of a normal room. Super deal, wish we could live there! Staff was super helpful, wife would be happier if it had indoor pool and hottub.
I always stay here when visiting KC & have never had a problem. The hotel is very comfortable & clean. The check in process is made easier by having the kiosks at the front door to check in.

The Hyatt Place off of 110th and Nall was very, very nice. The hotel was beautiful and the staff was very attentive and welcoming. I would highly recommend this hotel. It has easy highway access in a beautiful neighborhood.

"Hyatt Place in Overland Ks"
This was the 2nd time we've stayed at a Hyatt Place in the KC area. Both times the suites were very nice. They were clean and comfortable. Loved the TV!! I only wiish there had been more choices on the contintental breakfast but we made due. We would definitely stay there again as long as the price continues to be affordable.

Nice hotel overall. Room had a little funny smell, but really clean and nice arrangement. Quiet rooms. Breakfast was sufficient, but would like some protein...even hard boiled eggs. Friendly staff and safe location.
