"Good place for the price"
This was a nice place but not super fancy. They did have freshly baked cookies when I arrived at the front desk, which was nice. I only stayed here one night and had no problems. Room was clean, bed was fine and the breakfast was what you would expect from an inexpensive continental breakfast.

For the low room rate that this hotel charges, this is a genuinely great value. If you're looking to stay in a hotel that is clean and updated minus an expensive rate, this is a good choice. The service, cleanliness, comfort, price was very nice. The little fitness room was appreciated as well. We we contacted reception for TV problem and for an extra blanket the service was right on. The only unfortunate issue was the awful smell of cigarette smoke that inevitably crept up from the basement rooms onto the reception area and to some of […] the first floor where our room was. "Nice stay"
Hotel is in a great location right on the freeway only a few minutes from downtwon Portsmouth. The prices are some of the best in town sitting right next door to other hotels charging nearly double. The hotel is clean and even offers a breakfast. This hotel is definately worth the money you save.

Hotel was fine, great location just 1 hour from Boston and right next to the oulets in Kittery, Maine. The Hotel was clean and the beds were not bad.

Our two night stay at this hotel was great. Very clean, knowledgeable staff, and fitness center .. a must for us. Have already recommended it to friends who have made reservations. The hotel is close by to shopping districts as well as Hampton Beach .. a must see.

The heat did not work in our first room. The desk clerk (I think his name was Josh) quickly gave us another room next door. Heat worked great. "Yes, all those other reviews are correct"
This room was so inexpensive, and there were so many positive reviews for this hotel, I just didn't believe them. I checked in at 1 AM on a Friday night/ Saturday morning after driving for four hours. Was hoping that everythings would be OK, because at that hour I didn't want to have to find a different hotel. "Hotel ABI Portsmouth"
This is my second time staying at the hotel. I have found the staff courteous and very helpful. The location is not far from the downtown and taxi cabs are readily available.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, no frills. Other than a teenage, male hockey team arriving at midnight and not going to sleep until 2am (not hotel's fault) it was a fine stay and I would recommend it .

"Great hotel for the price!"
We just stayed for one night on our way to Conway, NH and it was perfect. Right on and off the highway, close to downtown Portsmouth which is great at night! Clean hotel and room were great for the cheapest price I could find! One and only complaint were the beds were sort of hard....minor detail in the scheme of things! Would stay here again.

"You get what you pay for..."
In this case my wife just needed a place to stay for a few nights for a seminar... as we're on a budget, 3 nights at a more expensive hotel wasn't going to happen. For three nights, for the cost of what some other hotels cost for one, and given what looked like clean, somewhat recently re-done rooms, we decided to take a chance. The room was adequate, […] conveniently located and had the amenities she needed. Unfortunately at that price the hotel also seems to attract a crowd that isn't exactly concerned about trying to be quiet at 2am, and the walls are far from being sound-proofed. Although she complained to the front desk, and they did respond, the drunk party-goers were not exactly responsive to the hotel staff's directive to quiet down, and 2 out of the 3 nights had her getting very little sleep - and a good night's sleep is the main thing one wants from a hotel. My suggestion would be that the hotel make clear a "3 strikes and you're out" policy. If a third complaint is made, the police are coming and you're out the door. That would probably have a calming effect on the clientele this hotel seems to attract - (though not everyone on a budget likes to be drunk, loud and obnoxious at 3am). None of this was unexpected given the price range - and it's not like the hotel is a dump - it could be nice, if the guests there are better encouraged to be mindful of their neighbors. Læs mere

Clean room, hot shower, close to highway, basic breakfast, nothing special! Desk clerk attentive and helpful. Others in our group were staying in the hotel across the street and paid $24/night more and that was a group rate! Only complaint would be that the hair dryer kept overheating and shutting off. My boyfriend and I went away for the weekend for our anniversary. I was uneasy at first because we arrived at night and the hotel looked kind of shady because we couldn't see the beautiful landscaping. The hotel is completely renovated inside and was nice and clean. The staff was super friendly and our room was neat as a pin. They offer free wi-fi and […] a free continental breakfast. It is a little over a mile from downtown. We thought we were going to be able to walk but took a cab because it would have been a bit of a hike on the back roads. Next time we're in Portsmouth we will probably pay more to stay closer to downtown but America's Best Inn is definitely worth the price we paid. It was so cheap!! Læs mere

"Would not recommend this hotel."
Arrived at hotel hoping to have a wheelchair accessible room with 2 double beds, which I had confirmation for. When I arrived there late at night. discovered the room only had 1 king size bed. I was travelling with a business partner, so this was totally not acceptable. The manager would not give us an extra room free of charge even knowing we had confirmation […] that the room was equipped with 2 double beds, and after drving almost 10 hours to get there. "Convenient location - that's it"
This hotel was close to the interstate, and that's the only positive thing I have to say about it. It was extremely high priced for the poor quality of the and comfort of the room. The neighbors were very loud - until 2-3am, the hotel employees were rude, the beds were uncomfortable, and the in-room heat/fan was way too loud.
