close to waterfront, and baseball field, did not like the fact that we were in a shady neighbourhood,would not walk after because of it,service was great, room was way to small, but very clean... they had construction going on outside around the corner from us which we heard in the morning...If we would stay here again my answer would be yes....

Nobody said anything about having to pay to park. Instead of bringing it up when I purchased the room, I received a rude awakening when I arrived.

The staff was outstanding! They answered every question with humor and enthusiasm. We even sent 'em scrambling for Google to find an answer to a question they hadn't ever had before. They offered free use of an umbrella, free storage of our luggage between checkout and leaving. The breakfast was just as deluxe continental as they described it -- tons […] of coffee and drinks, cereal, waffles, yogurt, The breakfast sandwich wasn't worthwhile but so what. I hated to leave. I was most impressed with the service at this hotel. It was great. In addition, while it's an older facility, it is well maintained and has lots of character even if the decor is dated compared to more modern options around Seattle. It was a great deal and I would highly recommend it.

The hotel is located a few blocks from the Amtrak station in the Pioneer Square area. It's a lovely old renovated hotel not far from the ferry docks and waterfront and a couple of blocks from the transit station, which is very convenient to free daytime buses and light rail. There is a very nice Mediterranean restaurant located on the same block. The […] hotel is very clean and tasteful with original woodwork and comfortable beds. A complimentary breakfast room offers coffee, juice, bagels, waffles and cereal. Our family took the train from Portland and found the hotel to be conveniently located, clean and comfortable. We were able to store our bags in a locked area after checking out so that we could wander around the city unencumbered before picking up our luggage on the way to the train station later on in the afternoon. Impressive refurbished hotel, conviently located with outstanding service.

This hotel is nicely located for visiting the small galleries, the waterfront and many of the other attractions of Seattle. For me, it was a chance to rediscover a city that I have not visited for many years. The hotel is very clean, quiet and the staff is helpful and friendly. Very convinent to downtown. But, the breakfast is poor.

A beautiful old building, and the staff was very helpful.

good location for travel by Amtrak; Room was excellent and good value for the cost. The breakfast was well done and the food good. The two ladies in the breakfast room presumably employed by the hotel seemed indifferent to the hotel clients and need to be transitioned to other employment. I couldn't have found a better hotel for my recent trip to Seattle for a conference. The hotel was built around 1914, so the interior is quaint with great natural wood. The staff at the front desk was polite and professional upon my check in and with any questions I had. The internet (wi-fi) in the room was decent enough (I've stayed at hotels with […] wi-fi weak enough to rival dial up speeds), but this hotel's connection was pretty good. My room was cozy, clean, and maintained well. While the hotel doesn't have other services that fancier hotels have (like room service, dry-cleaning, etc.), the location is right downtown and close to a lot restaurants and shopping (within walking distance and in the bus free ride area). A final note on the location, the hotel is within walking distance to the light rail station where I took the train to the Sea-Tac airport for only a few dollars, and the timing of the train was comparable to taking a cab. So, here's the bottom line: Good stuff: - strong wi-fi - friendly professional staff - GREAT location! (close to restaurants, shopping, Pike's Market, convention center, and BOTH stadiums) - Wood decor Bad stuff: - lacks some amenities like a pool, room service, work out room in the hotel (they have an external work out place). - hotel breakfast was just okay (but haven't had a good complimentary hotel breakfast anyway). - TVs don't have movie channels. - it was quite a hike to get up to the Space Needle area for me, and wasn't in the free ride area. Overall: I would give this 4.5 / 5 stars. I would definitely return to this hotel if I am ever in Seattle again. Læs mere

Clean and close to all

This place was clean and close to Amtrak which is why we chose it. Breakfast was good as well.

average hotel, great location for sporting events

Although it lacks many of the conveniences of a modern hotel -- pool, fitness area, etc. -- the Pioneer Square hotel is a charming place to stay right downtown, off Post alley and across the street from the Bainbridge Island and Bremerton ferries.

My daughter and I were in Seattle for college visits and stayed in the downtown area for convenience. I was pleasantly surprised by this little hotel right near the ferry landings and right near all the "tourist" attractions. The price was great and the hotel staff were excellent. I will tell all my friends and relatives abouth this little gem!

This is a good deal for the budget minded tourist. Pay anything less and you have a gamble. Good bang for your buck.

Great location in downtown Seattle, near restaurants, Pike Mkt, high end shopping and Seahawks Stadium. Very good breakfast, flat screen TV, and very thick towels. Only drawback was the parking was a block away, but parking was a drawback in the city in general.

The Best Western Pioneer Square is a quaint, old, clean and convenient hotel, just steps from the waterfront and minutes from the Public Market. It sits over a "saloon" and next to an Italian restaurant. Consequently, it is noisy. Also...worst pillows to sleep on I have ever experienced.

Pioneer Square Best Western is just as good as they say, and the headlines in the news the day we left were celebrating a promise to clean up the area, although my party of seven thought it was fine the way it is. Easy to find from the Light Rail station, too, and a cheap ride from SeaTac.

We arrived by Amtrak and walked to the hotel a nice short walk.. We spent four nites and walked everywhere, the location is excellant for attending a game, walking along the waterfront, or brousing the Pike shopping area. When we arrived the hotel staff had us down as 2 per room when I booked and paid a higher price to have 4 per room. The rooms we were booked into were to small for 4 people so we had to get other rooms at a much higher rate. Next time they said we should call the hotel direct to confirm. Too late now but now we know.

This Hotel is really and truly a treat. You are surrounded by all the original woods, fireplaces, and ambiance of a foregone era yet everything is updated and modern where you want it to be - the bathrooms, beds, elevators etc.. A great little breakfast is included with the room rate. The Hotel is located in the "free" zone for buses in and around Old […] Seattle which stop right at the front door and many, many attractions just steps away. A wonderful experience! Læs mere

This is a nicely maintained hotel in the center of old Seattle, close to the train station and a fifteen minute walk from Pike Place Market. Their continental breakfast is nothing to write home about, but that's the only criticism I have of the place.

this was an awesome location and paying 20.00 a day for our car to be parked in a safe place was well worth the money. We are overly excited about this Best Western Hotel and are excited to go back. We were so pleased with the hotel and the people who work there, you couldn't ask for a better location as far as touring the waterfront area, Pike Place, Pioneer Square. We will definitely stay at the hotel again.

We booked through Hotel.com for one rate but when we got to the hotel they told us that was the government rate. I didn't see that was the government rate anywhere on my reservation. Luckily I had by ID badge so we were able to keep the rate. I just thought that was a little sneaky. If I didn't have my badge we wouldn't have been able to afford the […] room. I was disgusted to find that the hotel would not honour the rate that we had booked the hotel at - apparently this was a 'government employee only' rate that was not obvious when we booked the room. The hotel said that this was a regular occurrence, but apparently did not see it as their problem to fix, preferring to stiff their customers. Needless […] to say we have not booked any Best Westerns during the remainder of our three week tour of the US and Canada, and I have no intention of using them again in the future, Do not book this hotel. but if you do, expect to be shafted on the rate. This hotel is in the historic Pioneer Square district and is withing walking distance of many of the downtown sites. The only thing that could be a problem for some people is that the hotel parking garage is 2 blocks away from the hotel and they charge $20 per day to park there! The garage itself is closed on Sundays and if we had not been lucky enough […] to come across a good samaritan that showed us how to get in we would have had to walk back down to the hotel to ask what we needed to do to get in! Comfortable room, copious breakfast, friendly staff, cheap rate, fairly convenient location (20 minute walk or free bus ride to center of town). Overall a great place to stay.

Staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. The hotel sparkled with charm and cleanliness. Great location, we were able to walk to a concert at night and down to the waterfront and market the next day. We will be back!

We chose this hotel to be close to the Pioneer Square galleries since I had a show in a galley. It was also close to downtown and the waterfront. This hotel put us right where we wanted to be. A block from the Underground Tour. Just a couple of blocks from Comedy Underground and Trinity Nightclub. Also, very close to the Smith Tower. Amazing view . . . plus much cheaper than going up the Space Needle!

Really nice room in a charming downtown hotel. Comfortable lobby with a fireplace, helpful & courteous staff – they even helped us have the correct change for our bus trip. The complimentary breakfast offered a suitable variety of options to choose from and there was plenty of seating. The hotel location is only 5 blocks from the Amtrak station, 3 blocks […] from the bus terminal and a short walk to the wharf or Pike Place Market. We will definitely stay here again. Læs mere

The front desk staff was extremely helpful, gave us good advice for restaurants. Hotel is close to downtown and waterfront. Convenient for walking to desired locations.

Wonderful 2 night stay! Responsive, warm staff with salient information; clean rooms; business center and great location. Walking distance to the train station and to the new (year old) $2.50 light rail to the airport. Located in the free transit zone for all local buses.
