Fint hotel, med det vi skulle bruge. Overnatning i rolige omgivvelser. Nemt at få morgenmad i selve hotellet. Centralt med nem adgang til transport rundt i byen. Vi kommer gerne igen.

Lejligheden levede næsten helt op til vores forventninger, men man skal være forberedt på støj fra gaden hele døgnet i form af folk der er på vej til eller fra byen. Tror stedet vil være temmelig støjende i højsæsonen hvor man jo nok gerne vil have et vindue åbent pga varmen! Vi var der i Januar/februar og der var der absolut ikke nogen grund til at åbne vinduer, brrr. Men stedet ligger kanon til de fleste steder som førstegangs-besøgende gerne vil se. Ramblaen ligger under 100 m derfra og byens bedste flamenco-sted ligger under 25m derfra. Kan man leve med støj fra gaden, kan vi kun gi vores anbefaling

Hesperia Sant Joan Suites ligger i Sant Joan Despi. denne ejendom i forstaden er egnet til forretningsfolk og ligger tæt på Cataloniens Polytekniske Universitet, Monestir de Pedralbes og Camp Nou. Ekstra attraktioner i omegnen er bl.a. Fira Barcelona og Plaça d'Espanya.

udmærket hotel - men sørg for at I ikke kommer på 8.sal - vi fik andet værelse uden problemer - der er en kompressor på taget der støjer hele døgnet. derudover husk at I kan få køkkenting i receptionen til låns - ellers udmærket hotel, med god beliggenhed til sporvogn, der har forbindelse til metro, så kun 25min. i off. trsp., så står du på rambla'en. "Dejlig rent og pænt hotel"
Dejligt rent og pænt, godt beliggende hotel, dog udenfor Metro området, men en lille køretur med det velfungerende TRAM tog og derefter med Metroen videre ind til byen.. dejligt sted
"Super dejligt værelse men lidt langt fra byen"
Vi havde indlogeret os i et 3 personers værelse. Til vores overraskelse var der 3 rigtig gode senge. Værelset var delt op i to rum og et stort badeværelse med kar. Der var et køkkenfaciliteter med køleskab men ikke bestik og service. Oveni disse herligheder fik vi en dejlig altan med udsigt over byens tage. For at komme ind til Barcelona skal man have […] fat i et bytog som lå 5 minutters gang fra hotellet. Derfra skulle man ramme en metro som kørte direkte til midtbyen. Vi brugte 45 minutter på transport hver vej. Sat op mod prisen på hotellet og den super komfort der var på værelset kunne det snilt gå an for to dage i storbyen. Skulle vi have været længere tid af sted anbefales det klart ,at bo tættere på Barcelona og tæt på en metrostation. I vil dog ikke fortryde at vælge hotellet, det var rigtig fint. Læs mere
Ligge for langt fra bymidten. Ellers ok.
Fint hotel. Man skal ikke lade sig narre af, at det kaldes lejligheder. Der er kogeplade, køleskab, vask. Intet service, intet til at koge eller lave med med. Hotellet ligger tæt på sporvogn og det varer ca 40 minutter fra man forlader værelset, til man står midt på Rambla'en. Det er i øvrigt billigt at bruge offentlig transport. "Hotel i forsaden- en anden del af Barcelona"
Det var et godt tekøkken og selve området omkring var stille og roligt. Med Tram og derefter Metro gik det fint med transport, selvom det tager ca. en time. Serviceniveauet på hotellet var også i top. Vi lånte køkkenting, salt og en vinoptrækker uden problemer. Beliggenheden er langt fra centrum og langt fra en metro-station, men i et pænt og roligt kvarter. Der er køkken i lejlighederne, men der mangler køkkenudstyr - medbring selv hjemmefra. Lejligheden er rummelig. Der er lydt i ejendommen - de første to nætter havde vi larmende naboer, hvilket var meget generende, men efter de var rejst, var der roligt. "Rigtigt godt afsidesliggende hotel"
Hotellet ligger et stykke fra centrum. Men det ligger godt, Rolige, Sikre omgivelser. Ingen støj fra veje eller biler. Vi blev ikke antastet som på Ramblas og vi følte os sikre ved at gå på gaden. Der er rigtige gode offentlige forbindelser til centrum. God lejlighed, God seng og aircon. Morgenmaden var velsmagende og rigelig for billige penge. generelt et godt hotel-men da det er et apartment-suite hotel med køkken, bør der være service og kogegrej- der står i hotelinformationen at man kan bede om en køkkenpakke i receptionen, det gjorde vi 3 gange uden at få en', vi var der i 8 dage og ville gerne selv lave noget mad, vi købte plastic bestik og mikroretter i den lokalebutik, men var skuffede […] over at vi havde valgt et hotelværelse med køkken uden køkkengrej. "Hotel Hesperia Sant Jones - Good value for money"
We stayed in this hotel for 6 nights and was perfect for us as there was kitchen with fridge and microwave and a good grocery shop very close to the hotel. Our rooms was very large than expected and was very clean. Only problems we faced is the noise from neighbouring rooms. This hotel is located in outer ring of barcelona. So it takes over 40 minutes get to the downtown(pl. de catalunya) by public transport, by taxi its probably 20mins. To get to downtown you can take a tram and change to a metro, that is the easiest and most convenient way... Camp nou is near so if you are going to see BARCAs match this hotel is a good […] option. You can take a tram to the Camp Nou(about 10min). If you are only staying for couple of nights in Barcelona this hotel might be too far a way from Barcelona city center... Læs mere

"Hesperia Sant Joan Suites, Barcelona - decent"
The hotel was decent. It is not as good as it looks in the pictures but that is to be expected in any place. Though the hotel is not in the heart of the city it is easy to commute. The metro station is close and the staff are very helpful in guiding you to the city. The gym/work out area is really good and the swimming pool looked good though it was […] too cold to take a swim. "Good way to see Barcelona on a budget"
Upon arrival the staff were 'adequate'. They were efficient, polite and fluent in English, but I wouldn't describe them as particularly welcoming. Analogous to using an ATM or something :) The job got done quickly and effectively but didn't leave you with a warm fuzzy feeling :) The room was massive for the amount paid; far bigger than expected. Easily […] space for four or even five to stay in comfort. The main bed was two doubles pushed together (which could be separated), with a further single bed in the living area. The room had a safe which was nice as we were staying two nights and meant we could explore the city without carrying all our valuables on us. The bathroom was clean and effective although we would have preferred a solid shower screen rather than a curtain. The hotel had secure under-ground parking as a chargeable extra which gave us peace of mind travelling by motorbike. The room had cooking facilities, although no crockery at all was provided (presumably one has to ask for it at reception, or supply your own). The hotel had a direct bus route right outside the door into the heart of the city and beach which was very very cheap (by UK standards at least), although it's quite a long journey. Allow over an hour to wait for the bus and arrive in the city centre, and the same again coming back to the hotel. The hotel restaurant offered expected levels of sustenance at reasonable rates for three courses, but don't expect to be blown away (or blown out!) by it. Think 'minimalist' rather than 'hearty meal'. Certainly not poor in terms of quality or value, just nothing special or particularly memorable. Our biggest issue with the overall experience was (what I assume to be) the air conditioning system. The hallway outside the room had many damp, mouldy patches in the ceiling that were dripping on the floor leaving puddles and stains on the (tiled) floor. OK if you're aware of it, but you wouldn't want to step in it barefoot, or have it drip on your head. Læs mere
"Stay elsewhere"
I would not recommend this Hotel to anyone. The information regarding travel time to the City is misleading. It took an hour and a half travel time to Catalunya and one tram and a metro and 29 stops to reach the city centre. The staff at the Hotel are unfriendly and unhelpful. Our first encounter on arrival was to ask if there was a nearby shop to purchase […] water and was simply told " No shop! " The internet is not free and it is charged at an astronomical amount of 3 euro per 15 minutes!! The swimming pool is surrounded by 4blocks of apartments with no sun. The apartment we stayed in had no cooking utensils or crockery not even so much as a cup. We had to buy paper plates and cups! A large insect was in the room for the three nights we stayed and it made noises at night was black in colour and an inch and a half long. I rang the reception desk to report this and was told the porter was on his own but would be up at change of shift or he could leave it for the maid to put poison down the next morning. The night porter was on a no show on this occasion leaving me to again call to the desk at midnight to report the same. It was suggested to me to again leave it until the following morning when a room change would be offered. At this point I informed the staff this was a most unpleasant stay and was very stressfull as we couldnt sleep in the room and I was going to check out and find alternative accomodation. I rang Hotels.com who were very helpful and understanding and explained the unsatisfactory and unpleasant conditions. On checking out I was charged 10 euro for this call by the hotel staff. We had booked this Hotel for a week but left after 3 sleepless and stressfull nights. Very disappointing stay and almost ruined our entire holiday. Thankfully Hotels.com were there to save the day . Close easy drive into Barcelona (if you have a car). Huge room, stove, sitting area, balcony. There is another 4 star Hesperia right down the street, this isn't that one, a little older, less fancy, but stilly plenty nice and acessible for a trip into Barcelona.
"Fine but far out."
Trade off for cheap price is distant location. The hotel is fine and the desk staff is very helpful, but to get to downtown Barcelona you need to take a tram and then transfer to a subway/metro which takes half an hour, or spend 20 Euros/$30 on a taxi. You're about one-third of the way in from the airport. So, if you taxi to the hotel, and then into […] town, you're taxi is about what it would cost to go from the airport to downtown Barcelona, but you're saving a lot on the hotel. So, the hotel is a bargain, but you need to know where you'll be, and that there is no restaurant you'd want in that neighborhood.. Læs mere

"Nice place for the price"
I got a very good price with Hotel.com . I stayed for 7 days and the hotel is 3 starts. Very clean and the people are very nice and helpful. It is very close to the Tramvia and the bus across the street. So you can move around very easy. The ticket for both is 1.45 EUROS. If you want to go to Las Ramblas, and Catalunya you need to take the Tram T3 to […] Maria Cristina and take the subway to Las Ramblas or Plaza Catalunya. "a 7 out of 10, and far far away"
The Hotel was OK--a 7 on a ggod day. Unfortunately, the hotel was quite a distance from downtown and the sights of Barcelona. A cab ride was expensive, but the alternative was a long trolley ride to the metro. The staff was polite but not overly helpful. Although the suite had a kitchen, there were no utensils, dishes,,pots/pans or glassware.
"Great stay"
We stayed here to be near Barcelona but not in it. The room are big enough for 4 people to sleep comfortably. There is a bus stop right out side of the hotel that takes you to the center of the city and a taxi stand. Would recommend again to anyone wanting a quiet stay near the city but not in it.

We had a rented car so the location did not really bother us. in fact it was good that the hotel was just outside of Barcelona. The hotel rate was certainly attractive. The pantry came in handy. Room was comfortable and spacious.

hotel room was surprisingly big, more like an apartment, and it was really cheap too. there was even a stove in the room....but it's not really necessary, as the best meal i had in barcelona was actually at the hotel's restaurant the first night in -- it was very reasonably priced as well (although if you're not accustomed to it, dinner in barcelona […] is served very late). the view from the room was great as well. the only bad thing about the hotel is that it is pretty far from downtown barcelona (catalunya square). there is one tramvia (T3 tram) that goes to the sant joan despi (get off at the hospital sant joan stop). i didn't realize the tramvia closed at midnight, so one night i was lucky enough to catch the last T1 or T2 line and get off at the split from T3 and i had to walk about a mile or so to the hotel. the neighbourhood seems really safe though, so walking was no big deal. actually nowhere in barcelona did i feel in any sort of danger at all. barcelona is amazing beyond belief. i definitely recommend this hotel, just make sure you know how to get out to it before you leave from the airport. The apartment itself was hard to find at first from the city centre, but when hotel staff mapped out the easiest route (1 tram then 1 metro train), it took around 35 mins to get to the centre. Apartment was very clean and tidy, basic but great value for the price we paid. If you dont mind the commute into the city then the apartment is ideal for a bit […] of piece and quiet. if your ok with spending 40-50mins by TRAM/Metro then you can't ask for a better Hotel. Very clean and great value for money. Don't miss the Chinese resturant near the hotel for dinner.

THE LOCATION OF THE HOTEL WAS VERY CONVENIENT FOR GETTING INTO TOWN, WHCH WAS VERY HANDY. THE VIEW FROM HOTEL WINDOW WAS LOVELY. THE ONLY DIFFICULTY WASE THE LACK OF ENGLISH SPEAKING STAFF, WHICH WAS FRUSTRATING.

this hotel is very comfortable and th attention is excellent, but you will need to rent a car to be able to go to Barcelona. If you can rent a car you will be fine.. it takes about 15 to 20 minutes to be where the action is.

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are large and comfortable. The location is far from where the Barcelona action is but we have no problem at all taking the tram which is just one block away and then tranferring to the Metro. It only takes about 35-40 minutes to get to La Rambla. The tram is very clean and modern. "Too far out"
The hotel itself is very good. The main problem is its location. To come back from the city centre and return took almost 2 hours. The closure of part of metro line 5 didn't help! The swimming pool is surrounded on all 4 sides by high rise buildings.
"Great Hotel, Slightly Out of the Way"
The hotel is great and we were able to get an amazing price on the room for 4 nights. The only downside is the location. Buses bring you close but it is a pretty good distance from any of the sites in Barcelona. You are easily an hour or longer away from all of the sites. One night we stayed out late and had to walk an hour from the closest metro stop […] at night. Kind of a hike. The neighborhood is really nice and there are a few bars and restaurants less than 5 minutes away. Everything being said, unless you are looking to really save money, I would stay closer to downtown.
