Godt hotel, meget centralt beliggende lige ved Rialto broen og Canal Grande. Stor morgenmadsbuffet med noget for enhver smag. Nemt at komme til fra lufthavnen med f.eks. direkte med Alilaguna eller offentlig transport, først bus derefter skift til vandbus. Stå af ved Rialto.

Perfekt beliggenhed til en rimelig pris

Dejligt hotel med super beliggenhed (og rigtig god morgenmad). Det er ikke nogen sag at finde tilbage til hotellet - bare følg skiltene "Per Rialto".

Godt hotel - rolige omgivelser - ok service bortset fra at vores værelse ikke var klart 1. dag.

excellent location for the sights. Nice breakfast to start the day.

Got to the hotel which is right next to Realto bridge and close to a water bus stop. They checked us in and then told us they had a plumbing problem and had to move us to a sister hotel 100 meters away. A bellman help lug our luggage for what turned out to be almost a kilometer the Hotel Ca'Alvise. This hotel was great! So even though we were intitially […] upset, they made it right. Only dig is it had no lift and we were on the 3rd floor. However, next time in Venice, I'd book Ca'Alvise. Turns out Marconi gets somewhat engulfed by the tourists at the Realto Bridge. The entrance was scary. My room was on the 5th floor. You climb a few stairs but then there is an elevator. It is a converted apartment with kitchen. The breakfast was adequate (help yourself) The rbedroom was big, clean and comfortable. The best part is the location. When you exit Termini on the east side you can walk to Via Ragazzi, then it is about […] 5 blocks up the street.. There is only a little sign beside the bell but you ring and the owner speaks English. The office is on the 4th floor. Once inside the place is fine. Læs mere

Stunning perfect location. Breakfast is superb. Room cleaned every day, spotless. Room was through the breakfast room and hard to find at first. Ground floor next to small street so quite noisy in the early mornings but adequate and still good value-for-money. Overall very happy with the hotel. Not one bad thing to say.

We enjoyed our stay here. We went into it knowing it was an older hotel, but that's part of the charm right? It's a dated older hotel in Venice in an excellent location. Our room was clean and was a nice size. Took us a bit to find figure our the seemingly unending stairs to our room, but it became a joke after a while. The Hotel Marconi is located in such a wonderful location in such a wonderful place. Our room was plenty large with a great size bathroom. The breakfast served in the morning was perfect and the staff was incredibly helpful. There is no elevator in the hotel so if taking stairs is an issue, I would suggest requesting a room on the lower level.

Hotel was great and easy to find. Watch out for the step in the front entrance!

Like every other review the location is great however almost every hotel in Venice seems to have a great location so don't be concerned about that. The hotel was fine BUT we upgraded to a room with a late checkout and in room internet yet we had to check out like everyone else and there was no internet service in our room. After talking with the front […] desk staff they simply ignored the issue and charged us for the upgrades anyway. There are a lot of scams in Venice and this is just another one to avoid. Another tip, don't eat at the hotel restaurant, the food quality is terrible plus the portions are tiny and of course it's over priced compared to a lot of places to eat in Venice. Læs mere

Ouir first visist to Venice will not be our last. The Marconi is a old age hotel with wonderful people running the place. We had a small family room, nicley decorated very clean bathroom. The only positive aspect of this hotel was that it was in an incredible location.Location..location...location. The rooms were super crowded, outdated and uncomfortable. The bed linens were very old fashioned and thin. We were travelling in a group and requested twice for 4 rooms together with a water view. When we arrived they said they didn't have […] our requests and put 2 rooms on the first floor, one on the third and one on the fourth. There are no elevators so it was 87 stairs up to my room on the 4th floor, if you count the long corriders it was 132 steps up to my room. I called for 2 extra towels and a pillow and the request was ignored. The free internet only worked at certain times in the lobby only. My uncle requested and pre-paid for a triple room. After site seeing, when he returned he found one bed removed from his room. The front desk attendant said that they didn't think we was using the 3rd bed so decided to remove it from his room without telling him. My uncle immedately demanded his bed back, but felt strange knowing people were in his room breaking down beds while he was gone. This hotel is extrememly expensive and was a great dissapointment. The location was great, the staff was very accomodating, the breakfast was good but the room was VERY small. We were only staying one night so it wasn't a big problem but if we were staying for any longer it could easily become claustrophobic.

Maconi Hotel is an awesome location and easy to find. Hotel overall is not anything to jump up and down about - paper thin walls but was quiet by around 11 PM so was not an issue. Pretty good breakfast and the hotel staff was very helpful with restaurant recommendations and set up a glass tour for us with a private taxi. I would definitely stay here […] again due to location. After reading some bad reviews about being switched to another hotel I still decided to book here. So I was prepared for any surprises(I try not to have high expectations). If arriving by train, as soon as you come out of station go to your left and get a ticket for the water bus. It will take you to the rialto bridge that you will need to cross to […] get to hotel. The room was on the fourth floor(actually fifth) and the hotel does not have an elevator but I don't think most do in Venice. The bell boy will assist if you need it. Just be prepared to get a workout. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. The bathroom was a good size. Breakfast was the best compared to most other hotels we stayed. They had the usual breads and cereal plus scrambled eggs, ham, cold meats. For dinner we would go away from the busy tourist areas. Well located, clean, excellent breakfast.

great location for Rialto and canal front restaurants. careful sitting down at places for lunch/dinner as most require 1 meal per person and drink. no sharing, no pizza in some places. ridiculous. hotel was fine. clean. old. good front desk staff. no elevator. cold ac in room. decent free breakfast not a fan of venice overall, you'd be better off […] in Rome, Amalfi Coast, greek islands, or Croatia (split) was amazing. it was a pleasant hotel, it wasn't extraordinarily clean, and the price was not worth it, but during tourist season when all prices are crazy high, it was a good enough hotel

Great location, but the daytime staff (two young women) were not helpful and certainly not pleasant. The guy working the late shift was just the opposite... very pleasant and very helpful. if you stay here, be sure you don't have a lot of lugage and don't mind climbing stairs -- there's no elevator! Don't use the Rialti stop on the waterbus since it's […] on the other side of the canal. the late night guy let us know that we could walk down to the next stop and it would be on our side of the canal... which meant we didn't have to drag our luggage up and over the Rialti bridge... no easy chore. Location of Hotel is ideal and excellent. Only drawback is No Lift and is too difficult to climb till 4th floor where I was allotted a room. House keeping and restaurant staff is common and were very much helpful. Only bad experience we had during our check-out was a lady at reception is very much arrogant didn’t allow a single minute to stay after […] 1200 noon which is check-out time of hotel, and was adamant to charge Euro.50/- if we do not vacate the room before 1205 hrs. Excellent location. Breakfast was including in the price and very surprised for the qualityand variety.

We worked hard to find a hotel that could accommodate our family of six and location and reasonable comfort were our priorities. When we got to the hotel in Venice they told us we would be staying in their "other palace" so we never saw the rooms in our original choice hotel. only good thing about hotel is its excellent location. Searching any other hotel at this location is better!! room on third floor. No lift. Room too small. To reach a bed you require long jump practice! no view from room. ineffective airconditioning. Good staff. Basically hotel requires to be rebuild at same location. thx

Next to two water bus stops made it easy to find and see Venice. I would stay there again.

The Marconi is very nice. It is a big of an older hotel but nice. Our room was comfortable and bathroom especially nice. Breakfast buffet was good. Wifi was lobby only unless you were willing to pay extra. The hotel is right on the Grand Canal which is good. However, the Vaparetto stop at Rialto Bridge (which is where the hotel is) is on the other side […] of the canal. Therefore you have to lug the bags over the bridge which is a pain. The hotel also has no elevator so what bags you have you have to carry up to your room. Ours was on the 4th floor. Overral the hotel is nice and right in the middle of everything and I would recommend it. Læs mere

We loved Venice and the location of Marconi is perfect, close to Rialto bridge makes everything accessable.Vaporettos and gondolas right outside hotel made getting to station very easy.Great breakfast room and ample breakfast ,many restaurants both sides of bridge made dining easy. Location was good if you want to be central. The breakfast was helpful and the free internet was great. Could use a little refreshing up though.

Located 3 doors down from The Rialto bridge, you couldn't ask for a better location. Room was very clean, great breakfast. We would bring a bottle of wine and set out front and watch the world go by on the Grand Canal.

Great hotel, great staff very helpful. Right beside the Rialto Bridge so easy access from water based public transit. No lift here so make sure you have some thing to give the porter when he lugs your stuff up 5 flights.

Every female employee we encountered was abrupt and snippy and every male employee was friendly and helpful. Weird huh? The hotel lobby smelled a bit funky, probably from recent flooding? The rest of the hotel was good and the location couldn't be better. Right in the middle of everything but nice and quiet. We had dined at the restaurants in front […] of the hotels on previous trips but on this trip they ripped us off twice. I would order a main dish and something to drink and then leave. One dessert was 9Euros and we asked for a scoop of ice cream on top, an additional 9 Euros making this an 18 Euro dessert times four people which made dessert $101.53! The main courses were only about 16 Euros. Internet service was a bit sketchy. It was nice to open the windows and let the fresh air in without having a lot of noise at the same time. I enjoyed my stay in the hotel.

Right by the Rialto bridge, you really are in the heart of Venice. The room was more like a closet, and the breakfast was nothing special, but when you stepped out of the hotel, you were right on the Grand Canale. If you are looking just to sleep at night in Venice, and explore the rest of the time, this is the perfect spot.

This is a wonderful hotel - no complaints about anything. I was concerned about the size of the room after many of the reviews I had read, but ours had plenty of room. the bathroom was excellent. The breakfast very good and copious. The personnel couldn't have been more helpful and nice.

Great location, very friendly staff, clean, rich breakfast. The room was small with a comfy bed and windows to a small alley - anyway, we did not go to spend our time in the hotel...

For an expensive city this was a great value option - room was spacious even with 2 extra beds for our children. Room was comfortable and clean. Staff were helpful and friendly. for those visiting venice, italy. this hotel is at a great location and very accesible by either vaporeto (the public bus) or water taxi. they both drop you off right in front of the hotel. Staff is great and friendly and hotel provides a great breakfast in the morning for free. Rooms are small but have been updated with all the latest furnishings.

If your stay at the Marconi is not a delightfully calming and relaxing friendly experience,.. .not to mention the feeling of a supportive team doing the best they can to make your holiday perfect for you. . .(without any of the cheese that usually goes with such statements). . ..then you must be staying at the wrong Marconi. This beautifully Venetian, […] quaint but grandiose waterfront hotel lets all the others do the shouting while it hangs back behind the Gondoliers and their boats. You could walk by and not notice it. . .more fool you ! As soon as you enter you are greeted by proud employees who are happy at work, who want you to be here with them so they can look after you, guide you, feed you the best food, clean your walking shoes, give you fresh linen and fluffy towels each day, keep your environment clean for you, advise you where to and where not to. Then, as if all this were not enough . . .they add little finishing touches which let you know they really do care. . . and they go that extra mile or two to reinforce your thoughts. Just like any good Italian Papa or Mama would do! Did i mention the breakfast buffet ? Well, go sample it yourself, its worth having a trip to Venice for. While you are there say hello to Stefano, Matti and all the team who made our stay so memorable we are planning to return as soon as we can. If you are looking for pomp and circumstance go elsewhere. . . . . If you want home from home with lots of care, little touches, cleanliness and warmth. . . .not to mention an absolutely splendid breakfast buffet . . . .go to the grandest hotel on Rialto's waterfront. . .. .The Marconi. Pleasant stay at this hotel - room was clean, tidy and spacious for a european hotel. Staff were helpful and friendly. Only annoyance was no elevator (which we already knew from other reviews) however, internet (wi-fi) was not available in our bedroom only in the lobby for a considerable price. Overall, great location (in front of Rialto bridge).
