Godt hotel med høj standart. Vi fravalgte at spise på hotellet hvilket gav os mulighed for at spise hvor de lokale gjorde, det kan anbefales. Morgen mad var lige i nærheden, og der var flere at vælge i mellem. God tur

Værelserne er slidte, sengene bløde og dårlige. Servicen derimod er udemærket.

Hotellet er helt ok, beliggenheden super, tæt på undergrund og gode restauranter, men morgenmaden er under al kritik. dertil kommer at personalet ved morgenmaden var halvsure og der var koldt. Sprig morgenmaden over og spis den et andet sted. Ellers ikke noget at klage over.

Flot indgang og venlig service i receptionen, men der stopper det. Værelset havde ikke mere end et par kvadratmeter gulv, og sengen var ikke lang nok til, at jeg kunne ligge udstrakt. Vinduerne kunne ikke låses, og der var ikke koldt vand i hanerne (hvilket medførte, at jeg måtte bade i næsten kogende vand!). Fjernsynet havde sne på alle kanaler, og […] de to sidste dage virkede internettet ikke. Værelset så slidt ud, og der lå ting, som ikke var fjernet fra den forrige gæst. Konklusion: Undgå dette sted. Vi havde et rigtig godt ophold på Abcone Hotel. Hotellet kunne godt trænge til en kærlig hånd, men der var rent og pænt. Det ligger tæt på Gloucester Road underground station, så det er nemt at komme rundt i hele London. Der er også nogle gode spise steder i nærheden, samt et super marked. Mangler varmt vand i bruser, dog kan man hvis man venter til omkring kl. 20.00 og senere få et varmt bad. Hotellet er slidt men fungere. Venlig personale.

Godt standard hotel med gode og rene værelser. God beliggenhed ved lille grønt område og ca. 150 m fra Gloucester road undergrundstation. Der er 500 m til Hyde Park. Morgenmaden er simpel, men hvad kan man forlange for 3 pund. Alt i alt et godt hotel til storbyferie. Kan anbefales.

We got a room in the basement with a very bad odor because there was left garbage bags in the window shaft. At first the guy in the reception was not willing to do anything except spray with an air refreshener. But then we discovered that the carpet where spottet with mold and when I explained to him that it was harmful to health he found another room. […] That room was very small but OK. The water in the shower had a very low pressure and it lasted forever before the water got just luke warm. The staff is very friendly but even though the hotel is cheap I think the standard is very poor. Conveniently located near tube station, it is reasonably priced with very friendly frontdesk hospitality. Room is more spacious than I thought it would be, and clean. Unfortunately, the shower didnt work well as it was difficult to control the water temperature - too hot even on a cold winter!

We stayed in a family room, with four people, and surprisingly was very comfortable. Very short walk to Gloucester Rd, tube station and friendly staff. Would stay here again.

Very new the Tube station and on the way to Heathrow, a good location and a good value.

Had really comfortable night, clean room and good soft bed., quiet neighborhood. Found value for money

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Room was a bit small but comfortable. Good location that was close to the metro (tube).

The hotel is in a excellent location. Close to the tube and other amenities. The room was OK and the bathroom was an excellent size for London's standard. The room was clean and comfortable, however, the rug was very stained and dirty looking. Not really sound proof can hear people talking in the hallways.

The Abcone has a very convenitent location just a couple blocks from the Gloucester Road tube station. It was easy to locate and the reservation process through website was accurate and easy. The staff can book tours for you, but beware, they know very little about things outside their neighborhood. The neighborhood is safe and we had no fears walking […] around at night. There are plenty of restaurants in a variety of cuisines, but you won't find famous chefs in this area. The rooms are clean and moderately sized, but are no frills. The paint was peeling in the bathroom and the carpet could be replaces, but it didn't feel dirty. It was frankly what we expected for the price we paid. This hotel has staff second to none. Wonderful people, always helpful and you asked for any thing it is at room your door in no time.friendly and helpful staff. Location is close to underground and desirable central london. Very nice and clean room.

The water supply of the hotel is in lack of maintenance. During my 3-night stay in the hotel, the water was too hot in the first night and too cold in the second night for taking a bath, even the hotel has changed a room for me. Unfortunately, no remedy could be made by the frontdesk people until next mornings as the manager was off the duty. Pros: Location is really great, really close to Gloucester Road Tube Station, lots of shops, restaurants and cafes. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Cons: internet did not work for three days of our five day trip, which made researching tourist sites etc very challenging. We had to go to a cafe and pay to use wireless. The shower was way […] too hot the first day, however they fixed it the next day. The carpet in the room we stayed in was stained. You can hear each guest going into their rooms as the doors slam shut. The room was very stuffy and humid, but it was a really hot week in London. A great location near Gloucester Road. Friendly staff and very welcoming at my check in at midnight. The room was directly behind the reception area and as such felt odd but it was quiet which is what I needed. The decor and quality of the carpet, linen, towels etc. was below average and an update is more than required.

The only problem was the size of the room, which was absolutely tiny. Less than 7 feet square.

Given the low cost of the hotel, I was concerned that it would be of poor quality, but was pleasantly surprised. We booked a 4 person room but upon arrival was told they didn't have a 4 person room available, so gave us 2 rooms for price paid originally, which was great. The twin room was VERY small, the double room bigger. Rooms were comfortable although […] the carpets were old and soiled. Bathrooms were very new & lovely. Location next to Gloucester Rd tube stop was great and in walking distance to our friend's house (reason we picked hotel) Staff were very friendly and helpful, wi-fi (free) only worked in lobby but they said in a few days it will work in room. When I mentioned the dirty carpet, they indicated that hotel would be fully refurbished after closure in Jan for renovations in to a boutique hotel. - bed was lumpy and on tilt - Water pressure was bad - Audio on TV channel would go out for 40 min at a time - The claim to have have WIFI, There wasn't it was broke and they lied about it being fixed. When I asked a guy on my hall who had been there for 4 day before me, he said it never worked for him either. -Hum bars in the TV system, all 4 channels. DON'T […] DO IT. MOVE ON!! DON'T DO IT. Hotel under refuebishing. Loved the bathroom and interior. Staff was friendly and polite. Location is outstanding. We were within easy walking distance of tube station, V&A Museum and Science Museum.

The room I was booked in was big but it was downstairs (Rm B3) and had mold issues. The manager did not even put me in another room or comp me anything. Terrible.

The Abcone is a great bargain -- excellent location (the nearest underground station is less than a 5-minute walk away and it's a very short ride to all the major attractions), lovely neighborhood, good service. single room is tiny

This is a perfect place if you need a modest yet clean and affordable hotel in a great area. The staff was nice and I would say the rooms are adequate. There are not a lot of extras. No in-room safes, but one at the front desk. Hair dryers and coffee/tea in room. Right next to the Gloucester Rd. tube station!

we really appreciated to stay in abcone hotel london since they accommodate my whole family when we arrived early, they never let us waited for long time. very considerate. more power....

The hotel is ideally situated for the museums and tube station and has a choice of restaurants within walking distance for meals. The area is pleasant and safe for walking in at any time.The hotel was clean, warm (on a frosty morning) and quiet.

Was in London during a mini-heat wave. Most hotels in London that I have stayed in have no AC. This one is no different. However, I came back from an evening out to find a new fan in the room. I am pretty sure it was BRAND new. And I did not have to ask for it.

Depending on your expectations this may be adequate for you. It's my favorite location in London because of easy access to the Tube and proximity to Museums. The room was minuscule, about the size of a walk in closset (about 7x7 ft) and the bathroom was also very tiny, definately not for someone over 200 lbs. We were very happy with this hotel, the location was conveniently located to the tube, places to eat and a grocery store. The room was small, but the bathroom was a nice size.The only problem we had was getting cold water out of the faucet!

This was one of the cheapest hotels (with bathroom) on hotels.com for the period I stayed in Kensington, London. The only reason I chose this was the relatively positive reviews. Based on the 3-4 star reviews, I expected something much better. The room was extremely tiny. So small that I couldn't open my suitcase all the way. There was a TV in the room […] but without cable, and the antenna reception was terrible. The bed was narrow and short, around 3' by 6.5' and quite uncomfortable. The bathroom was actually the best part of the room. It was newish looking, small but not tiny, with roomy shower. Regarding cleanliness, the room service did a decent job daily in the bathroom but in the room they just made the bed. They haven't vacuumed even once during my week long stay. Otherwise the front desk service was nice and helpful. One remark about the Internet service: it is horrific, extremely slow and expensive (5 pounds a day), definitely not worth the price. All in all, it is not the worst ever hotel I've ever been to, definitely better than a Super 8, but don't let the very positive reviews blind you. You just get what you pay for. Læs mere

The room was fine as far as cleanliness, condition, etc, but I recommend not staying here during the hot parts of summer. There is no AC, and the room is extremely uncomfortable for that reason. There is a little fan, but I couldn't sleep, it was just too hot. I would stay here during the cooler times, it's probably a good value then.
