This hotel is good value. The location is very convenient being close to the city local shops and restaurants and opposite Hagley Park. The owners are friendly and helpful, the accommodation is spacious and comfortable and although it is on a busy road, i did not find traffic noise to be a problem.I would have no hesitation recommending this property […] to others. We were pleasantly surprised that Bruce the owner was still up to greet us at 2am in the morning on our arrival in Christchurch! He had provided a back up plan if he wasn't going to be around but all went well. We have now rebooked with the Argyle for when we get back to the area on our way home.

We stayed one night at this hotel but have booked to return as it was really good. It is across the road from the park - a 5 minute walk from the Botanic Gardens and the Museum, both of which are well worth a visit. The room was spacious and spotless and they offer free parking. Very clean & large & good reasonable wifi

The owner Bruce was great, picking us up at the train station, providing jovial banter on the way to hotel and making us feel welcome and relaxed. Room (family suite) was very spacious and comfy and had all the amenities: lotsa cable channels, full stove, sofa set, fridge, etc. Great to have the park across the road and restaurants to choose from on […] side street, 2 min. walk. Its good place for people first time come to Christchurch, good location( after earthquake). The owner is a very friendly person give me very helpful travel information.

This hotel is pretty tired and outdated. A bit depressing. It was clean and easy enough to find but couldn't wait to get out really. For those on a tight budget it is ok but you can get much better for a few more dollars. Look around.

This little motel is across the street from a beautiful park where many outdoor events are held. The studio we had was roomy, and the people were very helpful. The room had a TV, broadband, fridge, stove top, sink, dishes, pots and everything needed for an extended stay. Sorry we only stayed 2 nights. The room had all of the amenities that I could expect, though some items were a little dated but that didn't bother us. It's location, just a short walk from some good restaurants and extensive shopping areas; the park and botanical gardens are just 10 minutes away (on the other side of a golf course) Laundry and Wi-Fi were available, for an additional […] charge (many motels provide it for free) The room we had was huge, in fact there was a separate bedroom with two double beds we didn't even use, so I can imagine that this room would be great value for a large family. I highly recommend this hotel both Bruce and Maggie the owners took extreme care to ensure all our needs eg the location of the room and organized the free shuttle for our Trans apline trip. They were very helpful with excellent tips on the local and surrounding area. The room was spotless in extellent condition and had the extra comfort of a microwave […] and mini kitchen if required. In a great location, not too far from the airport, near the train station (shuttles will pick you up and return you for the return trip to Greymouth,), very close to the city, and hospital, with the park opposite, so you do not feel like you are in a city.

The hotel was very clean and it is obvious the owners have put a lot of investment and time into their business. It is definitely an old building and we had quite a hike upstairs carrying several suitcases.

The only reason I marked this down was because whilst we had 2 double beds neither had beside tables on both side of the bed. Also it was near a busy road and was a little noisy

This hotel pushed the motel bar up a notch - friendly family hosts, and a good location next to the park.

I recently stayed at the Argyle on the Park for 2 nights and had a great experience. It's an older hotel, but the rooms were very clean and had all the amenities that we wanted. But the exceptional thing about the place was the very sweet and helpful people who ran the hotel. Excellent assistance from the "front desk." The motel appeared well managed and was well appointed for food preparations. THE ROOM WAS SPACIOUS AND CONTAINED THREE BEDS AND WOULD ACCOMMODATE 5 PEOPLE. For two people it was quite comfortable. WE ENJOYED OUR STAY THERE. VERY FAST WI FI CONNECTIVITY. WE STAYED IN THREE DIFFERENT CITIES hile in NZ AND THE […] WI FI WAS FAR THE BEST WE HAD. IT WAS UP TO NORTH AMERICAN STANDARD WHEREAS OUR EXPERIENCES ELSEWHERE WER.E DISAPPOINTING. I went to Christchurh on 6-8Aug 2011, it was a transition from winter to spring, though some hills/mountains you can see from a far ices.. It's a very nice decent motel near city area, though the building & furniture is a bit old but it is well maintained and all function-ed well. This motel fronted on the very expansive and very green Hagley Park in Christchurch, NZ, a $28 NZD cab ride from the airport but safely away from the tragically devastated Central Business District. The owner was very helpful in finding (and calling to set up -- like a concierge) shuttles to interesting tourism sites unharmed by the quake, e.g., the […] very scenic French-influenced Akaroa townsite and harbor. NZ is a surprisingly expensive country to visit, but he always sought out bargains for us. The bathroom in our suite was oddly configured -- no mirror over the sink for shaving -- but the place was clean, and huge for the price. Læs mere

Asked for, were promised, but did not receive wakeup call. Consider this inexcuseable, especially as we had early train to catch. Facilities are 1950's style and badly in need of upgrade. Location across from park is nice.

Great location, close to the city, just across the park. Family unit was comfortable and well kept had everything we needed. Housekeeper was very honest - helped put away a wallet that was left lying around :)

My husband and I stayed in Argyle on the Park for 4 nights, and we received wonderful service while we were there. The room is very nice, and we felt at home immediately. The place was so good that we were very sad to leave at the end of our stay.

The rooms in the motel are very spacious and Comfortable and equipped with all the needs for cooking and staying for along term. Very good location and very convenient. Very fair rate.

Great helpful and friendly place to stay. In walking or easy bus distance of city centre. Comfortable and we equipped, breakfast available if you want it. Owners ru8n the place and it shows.

It is not a bad hotel but you need to walk through a large park to get to the city center and I don't recommend that in any city after dark.

クライストチャーチ中心部が閉鎖され、大型ホテルも休業が多い中、観光客はハグレー公園から西に延びるリカトン通りに集まっているよだ。アーガイルもこの一角にある。観光地区の雰囲気ではないが、中規模のホテルやモーテルが多く点在し、飲食店やコンビニが立ち並ぶ。アーガイルは家族経営の小規模なモーテルで、愛想の良い主人が、閉鎖されていないお勧めのスポットを丁寧に紹介してくれた。ハグレー公園は目の前で、ゆったりと時間を過ごすのにとても便利。

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir konnten sogar schon 4 Stunden vor der üblichen Check in zeit problemlos in unser Zimmer. Das Zimmer war nett eingerichtet, sauber und die Küchenzeile voll ausgestattet. Sehr empfehlenswert!

ホテルの受付では親切に対応していただきました。 大きな洗濯機を貸していただき、洗濯物の取り込みもしていただきました。室内も奇麗に整頓されており、英語が話せない私たちにも身振り手振りで熱心に伝えていただきました。機会があればまた利用させていただきたいと思います。

Acceuil super chaleureux, bonne recommendation pour un restaurant (Running Bull, juste au coin, il faut absolument aller dans ce restaurant, cuisine neo-zelandaise excellante. Ett trevligt motell på gångavtånd till det numera delvis raserade centrum. Rummen närmast vägen störs av den rätt intensiva trafiken. Det är ju inte isolerade treglasfönster. Svårt med rum i Christchurch eftersom ca 800 bäddar fösvan i jordbävningen och byggnadsarbetare okuperar många motell/hotell idag

Chambre un peu bruyante car proche d'un axe principal. L'hotel dispose aussi de chambres sur l'arrière, peut être moins bruyantes.
