Hudson - New York

Lever slet ikke på til beskrivelsen. Meget små og mørke værelser. Ingen mini bar på værelserne selv om det står skrevet. 2 ud af 6 elevatorer virkede, hvilket betød du skulle vente længe på at komme op og ned. Alt i alt en meget skuffende ophold, på et 4 stjernet hotel, der efter min mening ligger i underkanten af 3 stjerner.

Lækkert hotel med god service tæt på mange spændende oplevelser. Dog er morgenmaden meget dyr.

Det er et smukt smukt hotel, der ligger lige op af Central Park og subway-stationen. Dejligt kvarter med masser af spisemuligheder. Desværre er der en night club på hotellet og når der er varmt spiller de musik i gårdhaven. Tirsdag aften er "Grolsh"night så der fortsatte musikken indtil kl. 00.30. Det var så højt at vi ikke kunne høre vores tv!!! Da […] vi klagede kom vi op på et værelse på 14. etage ud mod vejen, og det var fantastisk, med udsigt over Hudson river. SÅ.....jeg vil meget gerne bo på hotellet igen, men kun hvis jeg kan komme højt nok op - og væk fra baren. Læs mere

Dette hotel har en fantastisk beliggenhed, 2 min til Subway, 3 min til Central Park og 10 min til Time Square. Hotellet er indrettet i moderne stil, der er 2 store udendørs terasser, der er super hyggelige med levende lys m.m. Lever fuldstændig op til de billeder der vises på hotellets hjemmside, - bare bedre. Værelser er små, men der er bøjlestang […] og stativ til kuffert, så det ikke er i vejen. Samt lille skrivebord med en stol. Desværre ingen minibar(køleskab til at holde en sodavand kold) Alt lever op til vores forventninger og mere til, vi kommer med glæde tilbage. Læs mere

Rooms are extremely small, but well functioning, and the hotel is very dark. The ambiance is cool and fun with creative decor and active hotel bars and restaurants. And the location close to Columbus Circle Subway Station is great, because you can go anywhere from there.

Meget flot design hotel, hvor der er gang i den med fest og farver for unge trendy mennesker. Værelserne er dog meget små og her mangler der lidt på rengøringen, for at være helt i top. Service i receptionen mangler dog også noget, da der ofte er rigtige mange gæster, kan man komme til at vente i lang. Vi klage over at der var to lamper der er ikke […] virkede, de blevet dog aldrig lavet i løbet af opholdet. Havde desværre også en episode med kakelakker. Ellers generelt et meget flot og hipt hotel. Dejligt men dyrt......

Staff was friendly - especially the concierge. Room was small. First day only towels for one person. 2nd day they didn't clean our room - so we complained and after long discussion got a room update instead of a breakfast & drink voucher initially offered. Finally we got a room of the size we felt we actually should have had for the money we paid for […] the hotel. Several days the escalator to the lobby didn't work. Lobby was very noisy due to loud music in the adjoining bar. Rooms were quiet - but almost no daylight got in - so it was hard to tell the time of day when in the room. Hudson er et fancy hotel på den cool måde. Super service og meget hjælpsomt personale. Værelserne er forholdsvis små, men det er ikke noget problem overhovedet. Der er alt hvad man skal bruge og når man er i NY bruger man jo stort set kun hotellet til at sove på. Extremely disappointing - checked out after one night as did 3 of my colleagues!!! Over priced - ridiculously small rooms; the sheets were too short for the bed! Uncomfortable, noisy - never slept the entire night. Won't be returning here again although the Concierge and Front Desk staff were more than helpful and apologetic.

After reading so many negative reviews on the size of rooms, I still booked 2 nights due to the "4-star" rating. I was shocked when I saw the miniscule room. Believe me, I've been to Tokyo hotels before.... This is absurd given the price you paid. 2 1/2 - 3 stars at best.

We always enjoy our stay at the Hudson. Drinks are pricey.

This place is a gem. The staff are fantastic. The rooms are very, very small. The location is horrible for getting a taxi. You have to go up one street most of the time to be able to catch one. The prices of the restaurant and bar are very expensive. It was good

The room was small, but the location was so fantastic there was little need to be in the room!! Rooftop bar was fantastic, there is a club in the hotel in addition to the bar and restaurant. We had a great stay, and we will be back!

As many of the other reviews have stated, the rooms are small. Tokyo small. That being said, there are stylish and feature great toiletries (albeit with slighly sub-par towels.) I was very desapoited by the size of the room and the bath room ridiculously small. It was very noisy you could hear the people talking in the room next door. The hotel has very little light which make it very very dark.

Our first stay at the Hudson, and I can't rave enough about the gorgeous sky terrace, the eclectic and comfortable style, or the graciousness of the staff. We came in hours before check-in and explained that we had a wedding to go to that afternoon, and the staff did everything in their power to ensure that they would not only have our room available […] so that we could get ready for the event, but also that we were comfortable and taken care of while we waitied. Beautiful decor. However, you can barely see it because of the gothic darkness. Even during the day, the hotel is swathed in complete darkness. That got on my nerves. Otherwise, the Hudson is quite chic. Our room was really small, even by boutique hotel standards. Nonetheless, the bed was comfy and the bathroom was nice. Loved the breakfast. The newly "renovated" rooms were nothing more than a fresh coat of paint. The rooms are tiny. You will swear you are back in college in the Freshman dorms. My office at work is much larger than the room. I felt claustrophobic (and I'm not). The bath mat couldn't even open fully when placed on the floor as the toilet was in the way. I was on the 9th floor and it felt like the window was open. I could hear everything going on in the street. Ask for a room at a higher level. The window is very poorly insulated and the cold and noise comes in. Also, the heater makes a very weird noise turning on and off, almost as if it's going to explode. Great location. Way too small! My dorm in college was bigger. My office at work is bigger! This place was a joke. The shower mat wouldn't even fit on the floor fully as there was no room between the toilet and wall. So tiny!!! I would not recommend this to anyone that is claustrophobic or larger than a child. Room was very small which, of course is typical in NYC, so no surprise there. The sink would not drain and they only had basic cable. Great atmosphere in the lobby and bars. Can't beat the locale.

The room is like a closet. I am 6'4" with broad shoulders and I had to turn sideways and slide along the bed instead of walking beside it. If someone else was in the room with me, we would have been tripping over one another. It was fine for an in-and-out business trip over one night, but my closet at home is larger than the room in which I stayed. […] Aside from this, the location was great, there are a ton of good restaurants a couple of blocks down 9th in Hell's Kitchen, and Central Park is just a block over. The staff was great, the lobby was nice, but my floor had peeling paint and the hall way was dirty. I felt like there is a reason that the hallways are very dimly lit. This hotel is very convenient to Lincoln Center, Central Park and subways. Our first night did not start out well as we were in a small room with poor ventilation. We had to leave the air conditioning on, but it was poorly placed just above the headboard. In addition, the down blanket was too warm. We slept at the foot of the bed to avoid the air conditioner. […] We had a terrible night. However, the next morning when we explained our problem, the desk person found a better room for us. He called his manager and housekeeping to make sure that the new room had the ventilation system away from the bed as well as a window that could be opened. We were also given a lighter blanket. While we were away during the day, the move was completed, and we came back to a room that eliminated any of our problems. Our next two nights were very comfortable. 1st the room was too small. I felt claustrophobic. The food was awful. Had to change hotels. I stayed there many times before and felt the same. Can't do it any more.

As a New Yorker it is not very often that I stay the night in a New York Hotel. This is the only hotel in which I will stay. They decor and ambiance are great, the staff is always the most helpful, and it is a great place to get a cocktail (whether you stay at the hotel or not). They are always very clean and modern, yet very 'Euro' and do not offer the luxury of extra space. Overall the trade-off is very worth it to me. When booking this hotel I thought I was guaranteed a a certain level of service. The hotel staff was rude and dismissive. I am angry to have spent my money there. The Hotel is very Hip, Cool, and expensive with the smallest rooms and bathrooms I have ever seen. The Cafeteria /resturant food was excellent and expensive. The ambience/mood is very cool, great design. Rooms were very clean, I asked every day for the desk lamp to be fixed and it never was made operational. Fabulous location.

Our stay at the Hudson was out first. We were surprised by our very compact room. I can best compare it to a cruise ship size room. Storage is limited as you would find on a cruise ship room. Great city location & always felt safe walking back from Broadway even at 1 - 2 in the morning hours. The staff was always professional & pleasant and dressed in casual attire. Excellent location to Subway station. The facility is uniquely lit with subdued lighting with an atrium, ivy & dark wood interior design. The rooms were so small I literally walked into the wall the first night. It was a good location, close to Columbus Circle. Very noisy area.

Having stayed in a number of hotels in NYC it's clear that the quality is all over the board. Most hotel rooms are small and for good reason...you're not supposed to be hanging out in your room. From the door person to the woman at the counter-it was top notch and friendly. I arrived three hours before check in and expected the usual song and dance but I was greeted and given free coffee at the restaurant and the wifi internet code to work while my room was being cleaned. 45 minutes later I was in the room. This hotel is close to all of the must see sights but far enough away to get some peace and quiet by Central Park. The atmosphere is very trendy and the staff is eager to please. Tiny tiny TINY rooms, but for the price, they're still a steal! My queen size room was immaculate -- spotless bathroom, bathtub that was clean enough to take a good long soak in, clean wood floors. Bed was super clean and comfy. I stay in "standard" rooms across NYC fairly frequently, so I was a little surprised that the Hudson's rooms didn't live up to my pretty low expectations. Low-cost rooms in NYC exist at most hotel chains and are usually very small with limited amenities. That said, I found the Hudson's "standard" room to be even smaller than most and included little […] more than a mattress on the floor, an old phone, no closet/storage space and an UBER tiny bathroom. I admit that I had a bad experience by having to move rooms right away (the first smelled like mildew and was unkept...didn't have a working phone either). The front desk staff was friendly and accommodating, but my second room wasn't much better than the first. The bar is great, but that's about all I can say in terms of positive aspects of my stay. Overall, this experience tarnished my view of the Morgan brand hotels...I would recommend another location as other standard rooms around the city are a much better value. Læs mere
