"Great hospitality, warm people, depressed area"
We booked this hotel specifically because it was close to Hilarities, the comedy club. Emo Philips was performing, so we drove a few hours just to see him. The hotel staff were as gracious as could be: friendly, helpful, and polite. They really went out of their way to make us feel welcome. But the area... it's seen better days. If you want to be near […] one of the attractions there, you'll likely want to book this Marriott Residence Inn because it's clean and convenient. But if you have no reason to be in this neighborhood, find a nicer area. The roads were filled with potholes. Most of the businesses in the quaint nearby mall were closed. I wouldn't feel safe walking at night. It's a shame to see the area in such decline, but some construction just down the street might herald a new beginning when it's completed. The room was great...it even featured a gas fireplace! Less than a mile from the Rock n Roll Hall of family & around the corner from a bunch of great restaurants & bars. "Nice hotel, but hope you like walking..."
While our room was nice and clean, it is a journey from the front dest to your room. They literally gave us a MAP at the front desk. The hotel parking was full, and there is almost no loading room in front at the street. I had to park down the street at another garage. Do not expect a "full service" stay. No one offered to help with our bags, and […] there is only one single person to help out front. They give more advice than service. Again, a very nice and clean room, but getting checked in or out was a big walk and a big pain! If they would hire some help, and step up the service, this would be a much better hotel. "Marriott Residence Inn Cleveland"
It was a lovely hotel, nice and clean and close to the neighborhood where everything was happening.It was nice that we could use the computers in the common room downstairs free of charge because we had to look up some important information about the competition that brought us to Cleveland. I sent my 20-year-old daughter in to inquire about parking […] while I waited outside in the car. The person at the desk was helping another customer, so my daughter waited her turn. My daughter thought the employee addressed her at one point, so she began to ask about the parking only to be snapped at by the employee who said, "I"m with this customer!" My daughter was embarrassed and apologized profusely for the misunderstanding, but the the clerk was not very nice about it. That is my only complaint, and it bothers me especially when employees treat a young person this way. I know she wouldn't have treated me the same way. The TV remote was a bit annoying. I had to keep pressing the buttons several times to get it to respond. Other than that, the place was great with a very nice buffet breakfast. Læs mere

Perfect location for a downtown event. Plenty of bars/restaurants within blocks. Room was nice and spacious. My only complaint was that the hotel was a maze. We had to go from first level parking to the second level main lobby. From there to the 2nd floor, make two lefts and walk a long ways to another set of elevators. From there to the 4th floor. My friend and I just returned from a one night stay here. Check-In was a breeze with our booking through Hotels.com. Staff was friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for catching a game at the Quickens Arena, it's directly across the street!! This is a beautifully restored old hotel! My friends and I stayed at this hotel this weekend for the Browns/Panthers game. Everything was great except for the layout. The rooms were great, but the suites were super hard to get to. "Excellent Hotel"
Stayed for one night but was absolutely astonished by the friendliness and service. The hotel interior was fantastic and the parking was plentiful. Made my stay in downtown Cleveland pleasurable. View out the window wasn't great, but I doubt they can do anything about that now. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

We stayed here for a downtown conference that was held at a nearby but much more expensive hotel. Our experience could not have been better. The room was large, quiet, the staff helpful and friendly. Breakfast was well appointed and the location could not have been better. "Convienient to House of Blues, Quicken, and Rock Hall"
This is a relaxed, classic hotel with lots of nice touches. Our room was actually a suite with two separate bedrooms, a full kitchen, and a living room. It was reasonably priced. Location was just around the corner from the House of Blues, a block from the Quicken Arena, and a 15 minute pleasant walk to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. We had no problem […] parking in the indoor lot, and the rate was reasonable for a downtown stay. It should be pointed out that our room was an entire city block from the registration desk and was not handicapped accessible (no problem with us), so if you are booking, you should ask. Nice touches included the free mini-dinner, drinks, and dessert, a boon for anyone arrives late and needs to get to an event quickly. The included breakfast is held in an elegant dining room and was complete with eggs, breakfast meat, fruit, cereal, etc. The breakfast food wasn't exceptional, but was certainly adequate. "It was ok, except for the parking"
The room was nice and very spatious but the parking below the hotel was expensive and terrible! They should really state that it is only for compact cars. And the price for parking was outrageous.

Best hotel i've ever stayed at and very affordable price. Right by the arena and progressive field.
"Great location"
The Residence Inn by Marriott Cleveland Downtown is in a great location - the Q Arena is across the street and Progressive Field is only a couple blocks away. Since my room was on the street side of the hotel, I was able to see the fireworks after the Friday night Indians game right from my room. It was great! Fourth Street is just down the block. […] There you will find plenty of bars and some restaurants. Playhouse Square is about 5-6 blocks, but the walk is easy and I felt completely safe walking back to the hotel after a concert about 11:00pm. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is about a mile, but, in nice weather, it is not a problem to walk. Don't miss touring the Mather Steamship and USS Cod submarine while down by the waterfront. The Science Museum is also in that same area as well as the Brown's stadium. If you like shopping, Tower Center is about four blocks away. There is also a cinema in that building. There is actually a skywalk that goes from the Q Arena to Tower Center, which I was not aware of until my last night. The hotel rooms are all suites. That was great to have the extra space. There was a regular size refrigerator (not those mini ones), microwave, stove, dishwasher, and even dishes, if you want to cook in your room. However, there is a really good breakfast buffet every day. The hours are different during the week than on the weekend so just pay attention to the time. Parking was not valet, which I preferred. There is a parking attendant so that made me feel better about the security of my vehicle. When in the downtown area, people should be aware of all the folks who ask for money. This is not the fault of the hotel, though. It is just a part of the downtown area. I have certainly slept in more comfortable beds, but I would definitely stay at the Residence Inn Downtown, if I am ever in Cleveland again. Læs mere
"Perfect Hotel"
My brother and I went to Cleveland to see a friend and take in some Indians' baseball. Found the hotel to be smack dab in the center of everything. Walking distance to ballpark and restaurants.The city is full of life and the Mariott was the perfect residence for the weekend.

"Excellent suite"
We saved so much using hotels.com. The suite was huge and incedible. It was bigger and nicer than some apartments I've lived it. The fully stocked kitchen was unexpected. The quality of the bedding and even the shower curtain was amazing. We would definately stay there again.

Perfect hotel in every way. Location of hotel is in the middle of everything! Size of room exceeded our expectations. We do a lot of weekend trips to different places and this is the nicest by far! Want to stay there again in 2 weeks but the hotel is already booked.

The Residence Inn in Downtown Cleveland exceeded my expectations, perfect location right next to everything, I didn't have to move my car once. The room was very large and very clean, breakfest was amazing as well.
