I had to change the room twice in order to get a better one. The beds in these room are really good but the sofa beds are in bad shape.

I didn't expect the hotel to be so convenient and clean. Very helpful and curteous staff. Would definately stat there again if I needed an extended stay.

overall good hotel, convenient location, clean (although it lost points because our room was only partially cleaned one of the days). staff was great and very helpful, bus to new york city every 15 minutes right outside the hotel, however, with traffic it can take up to 25-30 minutes into the city and it cost $4/person each way so it adds up.

This was our first try at an extended stay. It was a positive experience. We have since stayed at another, and it could not match our experience at this one. It was clean, well-maintained and the staff was helpful. The location is awesome and there are many activities and restaurants within walking distance. We would stay again.

Ultimately this place was very clean and front desk clerks were very friendly. With surrounding road work was a little confusing to get to but once we were there it a very convenient location, near movie theater, well know dining locations and nice little shops. I would stay again, and recommend this location.

Stayed here for 6 nights over the new year. When checking in, there was a mix up with our room and we did not receive what I had booked, however staff compensated by giving us an extra room, and the next day we were moved into the correct room. Room spacious, clean and comfortable. Only down falls were noisy heater and noisy fridge/freezer. Bus stop […] to New York 30 seconds from hotel, runs frequently (every 15 mins) and only costs $8 (return), a lot cheaper than what a taxi will charge. Close to numerous restaurants and outlet shops. (The red lobster being our fave!) Staff very friendly and polite. Hotel also has a gym, pool and serves food, although we didn't use these facilities. Their service required much improvement...upon arrival we were told our room was overbooked, the second day we were locked out of our rooms and told we needed to switch rooms. Towels were never replaced, even though I requested clean ones. Garbage was never taken out and we were there for 4 nights, beds were never made. The Extended Stay Secaucus (New York Area) is a great option if you are planning to visit NYC. Very convenient location. Bus stop right in front of the hotel. You are in Times Square in under 15 minutes. The hotel itself is clean, comfortable and affordable. Very minor criticism - the morning breakfast is a little weak. No juices to drink. Hotel staff were very accomodating. Despite a mix up (by Expedia, apparently)in the type of room I had reserved, staff were apologetic and took care of our needs immediately by giving us the room I had reserved. Everyone was polite and communicative and helpful. Thank you very much.

Upon arriving at the hotel room (302) the towel rack was broken and nicely put on top of the toilet seat, the ice machine did not work, I had to manually make ice, the ironing board did not close, the air condition did not work properly, and to top it off the room was never refreshed. The pool was never ready, it was closed all the time. We stayed from […] 07/17/12 to 07/23/12, I asked several times for my room to be refreshed and the answer from the staff was ok, your room is on the scheduled to be refreshed today but after arriving late at night I had to ask for dishwashing detergent and paper toilet, the towels were never replaced cause they did not have clean towels and we were forced to use the same ones for 7days. I gave my complains to a staff member and the excuse she gave me on the refreshing of the room was "THAT THE OTHER PEOPLE WERE CHECKING OUT LATE AND THE DIRTY ROOMS ARE CLEAN FIRST FOR THE NEW CLIENTS TO COME IN, AND IF THEY DON'T HAVE TIME THE ROOMS DON'T GET REFRESHED." SO ALL THIS TELLS ME IS THAT FIRST TIME MONEY COMES FIRSt AND THERE EXPERTISE IS "BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND BAD SERVICE". We could not stay, hotel was under major renovation - with 95 + temps and three kids the pool was an essential part of the bargain, with the pool closed and hallways filled with furniture and matresses we cut short our stay. Very appreciative of the management to refund our two days not used

Clean and Friendly staff. Under construction which no one mentioned, very noisy, no vending machines(at mid night the lady told me I would have to go to walmart for a drink). I booked this hotel for the pool for my 7yr old, no one had told me the pool was closed for the construction.

The front desk staff is very friendly but the hotel has a lot of problems. House keeping doesn't come around every day. The fire alarms went off twice very early in the morning. Overall, it was not a very good hotel.

Dirty halls, rugs, rooms. Was not told they were under construction. Hotel should have been closed. Not worth the money I spent for three rooms.

Overall great stay. Loved how the room had a kitchenette, desk, pull-out couch, two beds and still lots of open floor space. The pool is heated and we always had the whole thing to ourselves. Very nice patio and bbq's off of pool room. Can walk to theatre, shopping and restaurants.

The staff were really good and helpful. The shower pressure was very low however there was no shortage of hot water. The room was tired. Bus stop outside the door was wonderful and surrounding cafes, restaurants and shops were good.

The room is a nice size but my room smelled like curry for the entire time I stayed there. I would assume this was caused by people who are staying there for longer periods of time that are cooking every night. The hotel smelled bad, and felt very old and rundown. The quality of the bed, towels, pillows, linens, basically everything was awful! the staff I enteracted with was very nice, and it was a great location for what I needed but may have been the worst hotel I ever stayed in as far as comfort. i hate to write just a bad review but it was bad.

I usually stay at the Embassy suites, however they had a convention or something and although they still had rooms, the prices were outrageous. I saw this hotel being built a long time ago and finally gave it a try. I think that if you are not looking for hotel amenities, this is not a bad place to stay. Close to the theater complex and plenty of restaurants. […] The Walmart/ Sams club are a short walk away.. If you can figure out the transportation system, you won't need a car. The good point is that it costs much less than a hotel in Manhatan and has a bus stop at the very corner of the entrance, what enables you to get to Times Square in about 15 to 20 minutes (U$8.00 round-trip) through the Lincoln Tunnel. On the other hand, cleanlinnes is not the good point there, since you will probably have to fight for a clean towell […] or a simple (and professional) housekeeping in your room. The New Jersey bus system from hotel to New York is very friendly and efficient. If you must stay after one a.m. in New York however, It will cost you big for a taxi.

The room smelled really bad, dirty stained couch, uncomfortable beds... I was scared to sleep under the comforter. I've been in cheap discount motels that were better! Coffee & juice was only available for a few hours in the morning, and only 1 packet of coffee is provided per day (makes 2 actual cups)... I could go on & on...

The hotel was clean and the staff was very polite. It would have been nice to have an ice maker machine in the building. The carpet and wallcovering along with most of the cabinets in the hotel needs to be remodeled. Overall good for a short stay.

a pretty good place to stay and nice staff with some exceptions but it was pretty much an ok stay. hotel is very convenient for bus going to NYC so i was happy for that and its close to shopping center.

This hotel was clean and tidy. The staff were friendly and welcoming. A small walk to Walmart,cinema and local eateries. Easy and cheap access to NYC and Hoboken.
