Non smoking room was great, no smell of tabacco in room. Had the ability to open the window for fresh outside air. Only draw back, right next to Interstate 80 and with window open you could hear Trucks all night long.

I stayed here one time before in 1982 and not much has changed. We drove up on a Thursday and stayed until Saturday, I did enjoy the lobster buffet on Friday and the mattresses were comfy. The room had sun shredded drapes dirty grout throughout the bathroom and loose Sheetrock tape joints hanging in several places. The room has a all in one thermostat […] so only tempature number choice with no heat or air choice and 3 fan speeds so it will cool to 70 degrees and then apply heat to keep it up to and then air to bring it down ?Very dated. The television was a old tube type with no channel guide , the free Internet was very nice with a strong connection and bandwidth. I guess my stay was ok but I paid to much for my room and I wish I would have been informed the difference of the room choices north or south. I was in the north side. I have stayed at Boomtown twice now and I think it is great. Friendly staff - all the amenities, great arcade for the kids, all the gaming you require - clean, beds are comfortable and room very neat and clean. Affordable. I will return again for sure.

I enjoyed the stay in your hotel and we had a great time. The room was comfortable and our overall experience was very good. The dealer 'Manfred' was especially personable. She was unhappy with the way he spoke to her so she changed her language to Spanish and he confronted her about it and they both became loud and offensive. Both the hostess (and another hostess) and the white customer/his wife and another customer engaged in a racially offensive discussion. Great for the price. Large, clean room, adequate bathroom with tub, comfortable bed. Quiet in the "new Tower." Stayed to visit friends in the area but really enjoyed the laid-back feel of the casino. Friendly dealers, too. Drawbacks: Not too many food choices, especially on a non-weekend visit. There's a Denny's inside, on the main floor in addition […] to the buffet and coffee/bistro. Disappointed at checkout - extortion for another $6.00 for internet access. My confirmation indicates no extra charge for Internet. I have stayed at this location before and have never been charged before.

Location was convenient and close to I-80, but not too noisy. Hotel room was comfortable, except bed ( with it's pillow-top mattress) seemed too soft for us. Otherwise it was a good choice.

Room was reasonably priced. Room was in good condition bathroom is a little small. bed was just firm enough. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

We were in town for the annual Volleyball tournament at the Reno Convention center. Because I waited to long to try and book a room and all the hotels around the convention center were booked I decided to book a room at Boomtown. Not really knowing anything about Boomtown we were a bit skeptical. After staying there for 2 nights I can say it far exceeded […] our expectations and my wife and I were both very impressed. The room was clean and spacious, the bathroom was updated, it was quiet, the bed was very comfortable, the TV was a newer flat panel, the Valet was quick and the two ladies I dealt with at the front desk were helpful and very friendly. It was only a 13 to 15 minute drive to the convention center which was nice and the price we got from hotels.com was outstanding. Cabela's is right across the parking lot. If you like the outdoors this store is heaven! Our overall experience was great and we would highly recommend Boomtown!! Book with confidence. Make sure you book your room in the north Tower. need new mattresses. not very supportive.

We have stayed here before in the more upscale rooms. Our room was very dated but quiet. We found an old wrapper someone had left but other then that the room was clean. It was very easy to get around. We had come for a wedding in town so we just needed a place to sleep.

This place was very nice and comfortable, outside of the smoking throughout the casino, but that is expected in Nevada. We had a non-smoking room in the North Tower and there was no cigarette smoke smell in our room. The room was spacious, clean, and the bathroom was very spacious. For the price I paid on Hotels.com, this was an excellent value. The […] bathroom included a separate lighted magnifying mirror, and the towels were larger and more plush than most 3 star hotels. The bath mat was a soft carpet not a towel. The beds were especially comfortable, not like the old saggy pillowtops at a "nice" hotel in Reno. The TV programming included a large choice of cable stations. The staff was very friendly in this place, and if you don't want to spend a lot of money on the buffet or fine dining restaurant, they have a Dennys on site! Next time I go to the Reno area, this is where I'll stay. its only about 4 miles outside Reno. The only thing I didn't like was the shower head. Although there was no lack of hot water or pressure, the shower head did not appear to go with the luxurious feel of the room. The shower head left a lot to be desired. Not much water pressure for a shower. The bed was ok. The pillows were too thick and not very comfortable. We forgot to take our own. T.V. channels were few, but we were there to sleep, not watch t.v.. They won't let you drop a trailer in the parking lot, but you can drop it free of charge at the KOA just below […] Boomtown. We had a great experience at Boomtown. It was nice and quiet and the room was clean with no noisy neighbors. The Lobster Buffet was excellent.

for the price it was good and convienent for what we wanted to do.

Bed and pillows were very uncomfortable, carpet not clean (smell), and bathroom is the worse. Water from show simply drifting while taking shower, need major upgrade/renovation. For now, maybe 1 1/2 stars.

Smell of cigarrette smoke from casino still gets in rooms and halls even on 4th floor. Not enough food options. Dennys or megabucks.

The room was lovely but the restraunt choices not so great. The buffet was awful will never eat there again. Overalll the staff were alright but the buffet ruined my whole trip.

The check in desk was great. I called ahead to let them know I'd be arriving late, arround midnight. Check in was quick and easy, the room was very nice. . . . . clean and roomy.

Stay at this hotel only if you are stranded by a snowstorm.

Was unhappy with check in. Gave us a disable and on top of that try to put us in the so tower instead of north. After telling them they did change but was going to put us again in a disable room.

We came to Reno to see a Jeff Dunham show at the Reno Events Center. Decided to stay at Boomtown because its out of the main traffic of downtown. Hotel was very clean and the beds were awesome. Probably the best night sleep i've ever had in a hotel. We also had dinner one night at Denny's in the casino and were happily surprised with the good food and […] also good service at this restaurant. The biggest issue we had was the customer service or lack there of. When we walked in to check in a male who was obviously a boss in some way was having a conversation with the female employee at the front desk. We were ignored until the conversation was over, this lasted over 5 minutes. Either of them could have atleast acknowledge our presence but decided not to. The next night our son went to the arcade and us adults went to the slot machines. We settled in at a two seater penny machine and after a bit was greated by a very friendly cocktail waitress. We had a couple drinks, lost 30 bucks and moved onto the video poker. After over an hour at video poker we were finally acknowledge by a completely different and not as nice cocktail waitress. She offered us a drink and went to turn to leave, then turned back around looked at both of us and said you are playing right? I was confused so I looked at my husband and he said what?? Yeah and pointed to the balance on the machine. I was shocked that while at the penny machine we were treated fantastic and once we moved we got attitude. On our last day we went down and checked out without any issues and went into the gift store to pick up a couple items for family at home. After picking out a couple items we went up to cashier to pay. One item was a figurine set held together with a magnet. The cashier broke the set while taking them apart to put in a box for us to take home. She then proceded to tell my husband and I that we put the set together wrong so she had no choice but to break it to get it apart. I was shocked. She then offered us Læs mere

Great location and a short drive to Reno and Sparks. The room was very comfortable and very clean despite the older furnishings. The bed was immaculate and super comfy. I asked again, specifically, if we had already paid this through Hotels.com and she was again silent. I asked her if she was Okay, and she snapped, "yes are you you?" She handed us our room keys and asked me if there was anything else? We laughed and asked if she could point us in the direction of the elevators. Boomtown was a travel stopover for me. I was towing a trailer and their parking lot is perfect, no tight turns and plenty of room in the parking lot. Cabelas and chevron are next door and that's a plus too. I had a midweek stay so the place was empty. The food choices are lame during the week. Dennys. That's it. While there I had the worst meal there […] that I have ever had at a dennys. If this was a dennys review id write about it. I ate there twice and my second meal was standard dennys. This time we stayed in the South Tower...Rooms are a bit older, but still comfortable.. Was not satisfied with the food and price at the Denny's in the hotel...and the slots didn't pay at all...But overall, a great place to stay...

You don't have to drive all the way to Reno to stay at the Casino hotels unless you're going to Mt. Rose for skiing. All the other resorts are south of Boomtown and it's inexpensive for the most part. Rooms are clean and they have good buffet. Good to Great hotel if beds were firmer.

We had a good stay at a reasonable rate. No frills, but the room was clean and modern. There are amenities in the hotel that we didn't explore. It was quiet enough that we slept soundly. Would stay again. Love that they have a Peet's Coffee shop at the casino.

Not bad cheap hotel/casino about 10 mi out of Reno toward Tahoe. Next to Cabelas and nothing else. No real casino amenities such as shows, music, pool, hot tub, etc., but if you are a hard core gambler or just want a place to sleep, it's a good pick.

You can hear everything through the walls of the hotel. The room next to us had several guest in the room fighting and slamming doors late at night, we asked 3 times for the hotel to take of the problem. Nothing happened until the 3rd call.

The hotel, while a little older was nicely maintained. Our bed was too soft but not bad. The service was excellent. Everyone was very helpful and very nice.

We attended a wedding at the location. The wedding was great. It was in the ballroom. It was a good location for the wedding. We stayed at the hotel so we could party all night at the wedding. For the price, the room was adequate. No complaints. They even had a all night Denny,s located on the property.

There was something for everyone all in one spot.

We needed to stay another day and the check in person was NOT helpful at all...Needed to recheck through hotel.com, but was still an issue...In the end, it worked out, but the customer service was bad....

We really enjoyed the home town feeling at Boomtown. Easy access to restaurants and far enough away from Reno that it was real peacful but close enough to get some down town entertainment if you wanted. Really like the ease of getting on and off the freeway also. The casino was fun and large enough for a great variety of gaming, but small enough for […] a relaxing atmosphere. I had to be in Reno for business for a week and it was very convenient for me. I was able to use their WI-FI in the room. They had restaurants on the property and I used them a few times. The rooms were adequate for me. They could use a new renovation. They were comfortable. Their Airport transportation was great. I would come and stay again when the […] occasion arises. Læs mere
