Vi var på vej videre så dette var blot et stop på vejen. Men Monterey er bestemt et besøg værd. Monterey Bay Travelodge er super til prisen, og fint til en enkelt overnatning.

Hvis man får et værelse ud mod gaden må man forvente en del støj, men ellers et aldeles udmærket hotel. Morgenmaden får man i en restaurant i stueetagen - ejes ikke af samme ejer - den "inkluderede" morgenmad er ikke noget at skrive hjem om - alternativt får man 25 % rabat på morgenmad fra menukortet - helt ok.
Gebyrer for ekstra opredninger kan forekomme og varierer afhængigt af hotelpolitikken.

Det er er udemærket hotel, især til prisen, ganske god morgenmad. Man kan sagtens gå ned til monterey havnen. Spisesteder ligger lige i nærheden, og kvarteret virker roligt.

Dejlig beliggenhed med udsigt over bugten. I gå afstand til havne området og bymidten. Sengene var dog lidt af en oplevelse næsten som om det var vandsenge, dvs hvis den ene vendte sig om fik den anden en søgang.

"Perfekt beliggenhed"
dette skønne hotel ligger helt fantstisk. Stille og roligt kvater og så bruger man kun 15-20 min på at gå ned til havnen hvor der er restauranter, forretninger og mulighed for at komme på hvalsafari
Ok sted, find værlse, internet køret lidt mærkligt skulle helle tiden flyt den bærebare lidt for det virket. ?? Hade ellers fin signal..

I was lucky to find a room here for a one night Saturday stay. Most hotels in the area only accepted reservations for Fri & Sat. nights minimum. The area is great, with wonderful restaurants and fun downtown area within walking distance. The only complaint was the noise level from adjacent rooms and the price was excessive for a Days Inn. The 2 bright lights with sensor on the upper right corner of the sealing near the window disturbed me while i was sleeping. Otherwise everything is good.

"Conveniently situated in quiet area"
We actually stayed twice within three weeks. The first was a one-nighter as part of a coach tour and, after the tour had ended, we returned to the area and chose this hotel for a further four nights. On each occasion our room was clean, the breakfast was adequate, car parking convenient, situated in a pleasant and quiet area.

"So-so"
When we arrived for check-in around 6pm we were in a line of three couples waiting at an empty front desk. We rang the buzzer but nothing happened so my Fiancee used his cell phone and called the hotel. The phone was answered by a groggy-sounding man and moments later a surprised-looking man with bed-head appeared from a back room to help check us all […] in. Kinda funny, kinda weird. We went up to our room- looked clean and tidy. We took showers (extremely low shower head aims water at about chest-height for this 6-foot tall gal) and headed out for dinner. Before going to bed I plugged my cell phone charger into the wall and made sure it started charging my phone. It did (huzzah!) so I flipped the room light switch off and went to sleep. Was woken up at 8 the next morning by my dying battery- apparently the outlets are connected to the main room light switch?!? Stupid. Overall impression is that the hotel is pretty clean and the price, although jacked up for the biking event that weekend, was still the cheapest available (by at least $20). If I had to stay here again I guess I would but I'm not excited about that prospect or anything like that. Læs mere
"For the price it is a great deal and location"
It is a great place and location in Monterey. The only complaint I would have is that we did not arrive to the hotel until 11:45pm and our keys were taped to the door with the room #. A little scary from a security standpoint.

We stayed for the second time at this hotel, again with family and guests (booking two rooms). The front desk was (again) very friendly, rooms were tidy and spacious, and you can walk downtown to Monterey shops and restaurants, very nice and easy. "Pleasant stay"
This is an older place, but is very clean and comfortable. One drawback is a minimal breakfast (no hot food offered). In room coffee is good. The hotel location was good. Staff was pleasant.

My only complaint was the shower head being too low. With three tall people it was slightly a pain, but not super inconvenient. The room was clean, the location good, and the premises well taken care of. Affordable and basic. Would stay again.

This hotel had a great location and was clean. Continental breakfast was good. My only complaint is the website is not very clear about the limited parking. They have additional parking across the street and a couple buildings down, which was not very inviting at midnight after a long flight and a two hour drive. There advertisment says there is in ocean view,o However, this is not true. The hotel manager was very polite and helpful. Our bed was quite uncomfortable and both my husband and I woke up with aching backs. Other reviews state that they do not give you enough towels & the quality of the towels are low. This is true. Great location. Walls were thin and could hear the people above us walking, showering etc. Nice breakfast - cereal, fruit. muffins, bagels, cream cheese, juice coffee.

Walking distance from lots of places but still very affordable. My particular room (two queen side beds) still had enough room for one, if not two games of Twister. Staff was nice. Breakfast was decent. All in all a great value for the money.

The hotel sure has received it's value from the outdated furnishings, linens and facilities. Our value came to a screeching halt at the "Continental Breakfast" offering. Looked just like eating breakfast at 7-11, everything was prepackaged and i had to finish making a pot of coffee to regret drinking it. the room was billed as ocean view but the view was primarily rooftops and hillside across which you could barely see any ocean. This hotel is quite a way from the water and back in the city.

Great location and friendly service. Room very large with all the amenities. Lobby had strong curry smell and linens could have been cleaner. We were there for Big Sur Half Marathon (start is walking distance) but they 'forgot' about our late check out (standard is 11am). Just wanted a hot shower after race before drive home. A large group was scheduled […] to check in right after us. Would have been nice if the fully booked hotel for each event was given a late check out/in respectively to allow proper time.
