The price of the room for Masters week was the only thing that made our stay tolerable. The rooms were dated and rundown, the furniture covered in stains and the bathroom damaged by water.....breakfast in the morning consisted of warmers covered with pieces of paper apologizing for not having that item (cinnamon rolls, biscuits, etc). The hotel was excellent. We had a problem with check in. We had booked 2 rooms through Hotels.com. The desk clerk said the rooms were not paid for and asked for a credit card. I had printed the receipt from hotel.com which she took back to someone to review. After a lengthy conversation they decided that the rooms had been prepaid; however we needed […] to give them a credit card for incidentals. Never had a problem with this before. The hotel was supposed to remain in the background when after 55 years I brought my mom for a vacation back to her birth state of South Carolina, but that was not the case. The staff at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Blythewood did everything to ensure we had a wonderful stay - from the call I made to make sure our rooms were close together […] to the hugs we received after checking out and sharing details about the other aspects of our vacation. The fact that we know several of the staff members by name and have talked about them almost as much as the relatives we visited says a lot about our satisfaction with our stay. Quick stay at this hotel, but very safisfied. Clean rooms, friendly staff, and fast breakfast buffet that was good.

Great breakfast, mostly friendly staff. One woman who cleaned our room was unfriendly and did a poor job and was unpleasant when we asked her to clean the bathroom. But we did not see her again. Also one evening a group of people stayed by the pool talking until 4 AM -- not loud or boisterous, but we could hear their conversation all night. Pool is […] supposed to close at 10 PM. The hotel staff was courteous, friendly, and greeted you at every encounter. Even the cleaning staff had smiles on their faces as you walked through the halls and as they were cleaning your room. I even received a courtesy call a few minutes after I entered my room just to make sure that I was satisfied with the room. The window unit in the room was nice because you could set it to any temeperature you'd like. Made everything that much more comfortable. The breakfast was much better than most I have seen before. The food was hot and there was a wide range of food for you to choose from. I will be returning to the area in a few days and will stay in this hotel once again. The hotel was very easy to find from the highway and had several restaurants and gas stations within walking distance. I was unable to use the pool as it had not been opened for the season yet, but it was being completely refinished and looked to be only days from opening. There was plenty of room in the parking lot so I'm not quite sure what type of vehicle was being used in the previous comments. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying the area and I will most definitely reserve another room for my next stay. Læs mere

This was one of the most relaxing hotel stays I've experience. Would definitely recommend this spot for a weekend getaway

Parking was severely limited at the hotel and the parking spaces were the smallest I've seen. It was impossible to park in a space and NOT hit the cars beside you when opening your car door; I now have dings in my doors on both sides of my vehicle. The hotel was too expensive for the quality of service and the condition of our rooms. Our family stayed at this hotel for our family reunion. Never again. We could get cleaner rooms across the street at Days Inn or Comfort Inn. My room was full of dust and I had to place a towel on the chair to sit and not get dust on me. I needed my cane for this visit...the hotel staff was very accommodating and helpful from day 1 of our 5 day visit. I went to the desk and picked up extra pillows and towels for my legs. Each morning I went down to the buffet and packed up breakfast to take back upstairs. The staff again was helpful in fixing plates, covering with plastic, and giving […] me bags and carriers to take upstairs. Good breakfast choices! It was apparent that the hotel had been renovated in the last year or so. No pets according to the signage...also said no smoking, but we discovered that the 3rd floor is a smoking floor. We reported smell of cigarettes in our 4th floor room and the front desk person admitted they had allowed the past guest to smoke in the room. They did bring in an air purifier which improved the smell and also offered to give us a different room. It was so convenient that I will definitely stay here again! Læs mere

Arrived at hotel - room was not made up.... was weird. They did change the beds after we called but seemed to think we did it. Floor looked as if it hadn't been swept in years.... gross. A message on mirror after my shower appeared "This Room Is Dirty" - Someone thought what I thought! Good breakfast.
