Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Bedford - Bedford

Recently I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Bedford Indiana. They accommodated me when I had a bad experience with the Hampton Inn in Bloomington. The Holiday Inn Express was very comfortable and worth the 30 minute drive. Thank you for helping me out in a pinch!

I would recommend to anyone. Wifi worked well, and it was very clean and comfortable...food and shopping and even a movie theatre real close so very handy.

We arrived with our two grandchildren, ages 10 and 6 after dinner at the Golden Coral. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was extremely gracious to the children. The pool area was a wonderful surprise: a clean and large heated swimming pool and a hot tub, as well as conversation areas and a ping pong table. This hotel is very nice...really new and comfortable, but in the middle of nowhere. We went to visit as an alternative to staying in Bloomington. It is really far from everything but fast food restaurants.

Only 30 minutes down the road from IU, this hotel was a great stay for my daughter and I on a college visit. The campus visit was on Friday and we decided to stay the night and go to the football game. The hotels in Bloomington were near capacity and the prices were quite high for those that had availability. This hotel looks brand new, was spotless, […] superb accomodations in the room, and had very friendly workers at the front desk. I couldn't help but become a member of the Holiday Inn group of hotels. The best part......two well marked 'soft' and 'firm' pillows to choose from on both beds. The hotel is new and accommodations were nice. The air conditioning unit did not seem to cool very well. The bathroom is large and separate from the sleeping area but there is no vent in the bathroom to keep mirror from steaming up. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Very nice hotel - room was large & clean. Comfy bed also. Not a whole lot as far as shopping or restaurants in immediate area but there are some a short drive away. Quiet area though and felt safe as I am a female travelling alone.

Stayed over IU graduation weekend and it worked out great. The short 20 min drive allowed us to avoid the construction and traffic around campus and was half the rate versus the hotels around campus. Very friendly, clean and comfortable.

This hotel was adequate for our stay but a little pricey for a small town hotel. The service wasn't the best but overall not bad. The toilet in our room was stopped up & we had to go to the front desk & get a plunger because there was only 1 person working & she couldn't leave the front desk. Never could get to anyone to leave a wakeup call for 1 of […] our 2 rooms. The 1 room that got a call just got a busy signal when the phone rang in the morning. Not a pleasant sound to wake up to. We tried to move the TV to a better angle but we lost the cable signal. The bathtub had a hole on the top side & had a cover over it that moved if you touch it revealing the hole. We did not spend a lot of time in the room since we were in the Bloomington area to visit our son at IU. The room was a nice size and very clean. We actually got a room at this hotel since all of the hotels in Bloomington were booked except for some really cheap ones that had poor reviews. We were very pleased that we made this choice.

The hotel is right next to the highway, but the entrance is off a side street. It is not with the heavily populated stores and restaurants, but is only a mile or so away. It makes for a little drive to get food, but that keeps the hotel property quiet, not crowded. There's a lot of grassy area for kids and pets.

The hotel is extremely nice but a bit pricey. Other cheaper hotels in the area but requires additional driving.

The Balcony Rooms are misleading... I thought I was getting a room with a balcony to the outdoors - however the balcony room are over an inside swimming pool. Although - The hotel was great and so was the staff

This hotel was VERY nice and VERY clean! We slept well on very comfortable beds. I think the only complaint we could have is the lack of an ability to close the drapes to our window. The window had sheers and non-closable drapes. This wouldn't have been too much of a problem if the parking lot's lights weren't shining directly into our room. I usually love Holiday Inn Express. This location, however, did not meet my expections. The room was a little shabby, not filthy, but not spotless either. The pool area looked old and dingy. The staff, however, were very friendly, and they treated my family very well. The building could just use a little renovation and deep cleaning.

Nice hotel. Spacious rooms, very clean. Very friendly staff, too. Hotel just twenty minutes south of Bloomington, IN where hotel prices can be ridiculous because they are based on events at Indiana University. I found the drive back and forth to Bloomington to be an easy drive.

This hotel is just what I had expected. It was clean and well maintained. The front desk clerk was nice and very helpful.

Room was clean and cool. Cold, actually, but a quick tweek to the air conditioner fixed that. It was what I was looking for at that price. My only complaint is minor and specific to my situation only. I selected this hotel, at 24 miles from Bloomington, because they offered a breakfast where closer hotels at a similar price-point didn't.
