The room was rather small but still as expected. The morning breakfast was fine. The hotel is situated right across the station Gare du Nord which made it very easy to travel around in Paris.

Situated within 50 metres of the metro exit of the Gare du Nord, this is very conveniently located. Friendly, English speaking staff and a good spread for breakfast, I couldn't criticise anything about it (other than perhaps having to wait 2 minutes for a table at breakfast on the Saturday, but that was during the Six Nations and a fair few rugby fans […] there). it is an older hotel, but very clean. reception was very helpful. very close walk from the train station which was convenient. wifi is included for 24 hours. greatly appreciated that, as it is hard to find that, without an additional fee

Very convenient location to Gare de Nord ( two minutes walking distance ) . We stayed there for 4 nights and surprised how spacious the room was considering this is in Paris . The staffs are very friendly and speak English. I will definitely stay there again . Highly recommended !

I would have given 10 stars if it had. 1 min walk from the Gare du Nord train station, can't ask for more. Stayed in the Privilege Room, was sizeable with comfy king size bed, neat and clean with coffee making facilities. Lift only holds two or three people max at a time, not a problem for us though! Friendly reception who guided us about the local […] tickets, routes and places to visit. Allowed us to drop the luggage very early before and after checking in. Tv with some english channels but who has time to watch TV anyway. Bathroom was neat, only very slippery probably polished a bit too much. B'fast was ample - typical continental with juice, cereals, coffee, croissants, bread toast, poached egg, mushrooms, etc etc., gets you going for the day. Stayed for 2 nights and haven't had a single complaint. Would be my first preference if I ever go back to Paris. Læs mere

Staff was courteous. Room was small but clean. Only issue was that the elevator was not working during my stay. Best feature for me was walking distance from Gare du Nord.

This is a nice, well maintained hotel. Breakfast room is a bit small, but with a good selection of food. The room was clean with nice en-suite, though there was a bit of a step up into the shower. Also the curtains were too thin to keep out daylight making lie-ins difficult. If you want to watch TV, english language stations limited to news.

This is a well maintained hotel. Convenient to the Gare du Nord. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Not super fancy but a good place to stay.

My priority for this visit to Paris was to be close to the station on arrival & departure. Hotel de la Gare du Nord certainly fit the bill. The area is as one would expect around a major train station, busy, buzzing and a little seedy in parts, but more positive than negative. I was delighted by the warm welcome I received on arrival & by the high standard […] of decoration in my room. The room was very small, but I fully anticipated that & give the hotel credit for an ingenious room layout which maximised the space & ensured as much natural light as possible. The photographic wall mural featuring the Eiffel Tower was a nice touch and the flatscreen TV, with channels in French, English, Spanish, German, Portuguese & Russian, was terrific. The variety of programming was not particularly high, apart from in French, but was perfectly adequate. The air conditioning was independently controlled & one could open the window as well. The kettle in the room was an added bonus. The breakfast, which came included in my deal, was better than anticipated -- much more than a Continental Breakfast. While some people may want to be in a different area of Paris, those arriving by Eurostar will find this hotel very convenient as the Metro stop is very near & well connected to a few lines. I would recommend this hotel & would stay there again. Lastly, the hotel recommended Villa Andrea, an Italian restaurant nearby. I second that, for a change from the brasserie culture, should you want it! Læs mere

The hand basin in the room waste pipe was partially block and the toilet seat had two small cracks in it and we report this to the front desk to be fixed. They were not fixed during our stay at the hotel. the hotel is in close proximity to the station. So it convenient by Metro and bus to all attractions.

The hotel was quite adequate for our 1 night stay. The location across the road from Gare Du Nord was excellent and the staff helpful and pleasant. The breakfast was the best I had in France and the room itself was very quite despite the hotel being fully booked. A very good restaurant 1 street away and the locals didn't faze me. Overall the stay was OK. Location actually was a bit different from that shown in Google Map. Hotel is close, but not right next to the Gare du Nord. Otherwise no issues and no other particular emotions. Room was clean, things worked well in the bathroom, staff was friendly. My wife did not point out any issues.

I chose this place since it is very close to the train station. There is nothing I can recomend about this place I wouldn't stay here again. Even the receptionist was rude and unattendive.

Was very pleasantly surprised by this hotel. I was travelling by an early Eurostar train the next day so I needed close proximity to Gare du Nord. I was expecting them to take advantage of their great location by offering poor quality service, but I got just the opposite. The staff were very helpful and pleasant (not something I've experienced often […] in Paris), the facilities are good value for money, the room was clean and the bathroom was brand new. Good water pressure! They offered two tiers of wireless access, slow/free or fast/small-fee. There was even a kettle in the room for tea and coffee. The location can't be beat. It is literally a stone's throw from the Gare du Nord station so very convenient for early morning travelers. It's surrounded by cafes and restaurants so it's convenient for food. And the hotel staff kindly put information in the room about where to find nearby ATMs, pharmacies, and other useful services. (The cafes and restaurants nearby also cater to tourists so the menus are multi-lingual). The hotel also offers a buffet breakfast, but I went to a cafe so I can't comment on it. The only downsides I encountered were that the floor creaked, and the walls were a little thin. But the windows are all double-glazed so it kept out traffic noise. Not luxurious, but what do you expect for this price? Friendly staff, clean rooms, decent decor and a decent breakfast. I give them extra points for trying hard. However, the area - next to Gare du Nord - is a bit seedy. Very convenient, but not pretty

Staff friendly and Helpful, location perfect, hotel old worldly and in an interesting part of Paris. For first timers to Paris it is very central and consequently makes exploring Paris easier. Toilet flushing very slow,wash basin (Sink) partly blocked,draining very,very slowly. toilet paper rough could do with softer paper. Good in all other respects.location good,close to all other amenities. Before we go back would advise owner to improve plumbing mentioned,cost of breakfast and drinks could be slightly cheaper.

chose this hotel because of its proximity to the Gare du Nord stop on the subway, and it was a very convenient location. I only stayed 1 night, and I dont have much experience with european hotels, but I was slightly shocked at the smallness of the room. The toilet was in a space the size of a coat closet and with the (small) sink and shower seperate; […] It seemed to be that the hotel originally had public bathrooms and these ameneties were retrofitted, although well done with the space available. There was also a chair and desk and a little cubby with hangars. The room was only 10' wide by aprox. 18' foot long, but it was very cozy for a single person for a single night. With all that said, it was slightly more expensive than I would have liked to pay for the size, but again my opinion may be different if I were more experienced with other european hotels. Læs mere

EXCELLENT location for railway stations, but the neighbor hood is a little rough. Room had peeling paint, and I left my socks on, but it was overall clean and quiet. An excellent 5 star resturant is around the corner for a pricey but outstanding dinner.

Clean Room. Bathroom is spotless. 2 minutes walk to Gare du Nord train station. However, lots of homeless people around the station and the street smell of urine at night. The price ain't exactly cheap for a 3 stars hotel. For the same price, one can find another hotel of the same class in a more central and better neighborhood. This was one of the smallest rooms I have ever had and to top it off the room is connected to the elevator. So every time the elevator the room shook, I trying talking to the hotel, but they were booked and they told me that ALL single rooms are on the elevator. SO I WOULD NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN.

I liked the location which is just next to the Eurostar station, the neighborhood is quite rough (like around all big train stations in Europe i reckon ), but you're not gonna spend your trip around the gare du nord ! I've stayed here twice before. The room was much bigger and better than the small single room I had last time - probably reflected in what seemed quite a steep price. I did not let the latter put me off as I value staying in a familiar environment and the hotel is very convenient for the Gare du Nord (as you might expect from its name). It's well maintained […] and comfortable and the staff helfpul and friendly. I ended up having to spend a long time in my room working (despite the trip being primarily for pleasure). This caused no problem with the cleaners who were willing to do their work at my, rather than their, convenience. My default hotel for trips to Paris. Læs mere

The management has taken great care to make the inside of the hotel look special and unusual. The Hotel de la Gare du Nord is clean, convenient, inexpensive. Room not large, but large enough. Bath and shower quite adequate. Remember, this is a train station hotel. Considering the price and value, I was very satisfied. The staff was very friendly and the cleanliness and amenity of the room is good. I got newly renovated room with street view. Very close to metro and subway station. With the window closed no noise can be hearing. Will choose this hotel again for future stays.

For Gare du Nord rail station, location is ideal. Very spacious room: large bathroom-recently refurbished; separate loo. very quiet except for occasional train rumble from below? Excellent breakfast; friendly and helpful staff. No complaints at all.

Very positive experience, the location is convenient for arrivals by Eurostar as well as L'Open Tour Hop on Hop off busses. The room was comfortable enough for short-ish stay, with friendly staff. Would definitely stay in this hotel again.

We were very happy with our stay here. The only problem was that the desk person did not call us for our 5 AM wake up call. Thank God I woke up or it could have been a mess missing out 9;25 flight out of Paris. I would recommend this hotel, but be careful trusting the wakeup call.

As title says, great location, just around 1 corner from front of Gare du Nord. Good three start hotel, only real quibble was noise but whole area would suffer this. Plenty of cheap internet cafes around and 1 entry point to Metro on the street corner. Meaning you didn't need to go into main station area, which can be very crowded and unnerving. This is an exellent option for the business traveller with morning flights out of either Orly or CDG. The hotel is located across the street from the Gare du Nord which is on the RER-B railway between the airports.

Hotel itself is great. The area is very down-trodden. It's as bit like living in the middle of King's Cross, surrounded by drunks & street-beggars.
