Hotel was a good value for the price. Didn't have continental breakfast or pool. Didn't have facility to easily print/fax docuements from my personal computer during my stay. Had to drive out for meals and/or call for delivery from local restaurants.

Thank you. You were most helpful in extending my stay and assuring that I had the same room. Very convenient on the first floor since this guest had difficulty walking. Very helpful and gracious reception staff.

Stay was due to no electricity at home. Hotel exceptionally clean given it is pet friendly. Staff extremely pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful, especially given the volume they encountered due to statewide power outages. Good value, kitchenette was a plus.

I stayed here thinking it was a good reasonably priced choice since I was checking in at 7pm and leaving the next morning. The next night I spent an extra $40 and got an amazing hotel, accomodations, service and amenities at the Hotel Siera up the street. The homestead was as basic as it gets. I would not stay again. It started with an uninterested […] hotel clerk who told me nothing about the hotel's amenities (if there were any). She asked if I needed shampoo and I said I may and she went to the back and brought me out a sample...seemed odd that it wasn't in the room already. Apparently there was a vending machine but I didn't see it. No lobby to speak of, not welcoming, not warm. Spend a little extra and get much more. There's at least 7 other hotels on the same street. I went up a day early arrive there around 12 am we had made reservation for the following day but we went a day early ask front desk if there was a empty room for the night after we talk I told him that I we have reservation for that next day he help us out and got us the room a day in advance. great service will go back again and again lots of store […] in the area the only thing they close early... This hotel is a no frills choice. Like the no upgrade choice compared to Courtyard or The Sierra.

The hotel was very nice, clean and comfortable, but it lacked a few finishing touches. For instance, they had a coffee pot/brewer, but no presentation on coffee, cups and related coffee condiments. They had ice, but it was behind the counter if you asked for it. They had a kitchen with some plastic cups, but no coffee or water cups. I would recommend this hotel for anyone driving to Fairfield CT, with a family, since a laundry room, refrigerator, ironing board, etc., are available -- which would be great when traveling with kids. For me, as a single just visiting family for three days, the location wasn't convenient as I took Amtrak into Bridgeport and had no car. The following […] drawbacks should be reported so that they can be fixed: The closet doors stuck, would not slide, and were off the runners at the bottom. The heating unit was EXTREMELY NOISY: It was a cold night, but I couldn't sleep if the heater was on; likewise, the refrigerator sounded like a freight train going through the room each time it cycled on/off. In general, the way the hotel has been built, it's a very noisy place: Every time another resident opened his/her door, the sound resounded up and down the corridors. If it hadn't been for the noise, I may have really enjoyed my stay as the room was very clean, and the front desk people most polite and helpful. Læs mere

Comfortable and near where business trip is intended. Main inconvenience is lack of option for a light continental breakfast in the hotel.

friendly and enthusiastic staff, quiet! ONLY CON- need to update TVs, the color and quality of picture was awful.

I was only there one night but I found the Homestead very clean and the staff friendly and efficient. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again and I would recommend it to others.

I made the reservation on short notice, but the accomodations were very satisfactory nonetheless. Room was clean, quite and well appointed.

This is a nice hotel - convenient if you are staying for an extended period. Full kitchen is nice. Bed not especially comfortable but not bad.

Saw many reviews which were not great after making reservation, so was quite skeptical. Hotel was great, checkin easy, convenient. Room very nice. I only stayed one night so did not need alot of the extras stove, microwave coffee pot i would definately recommend if staying for several days.

This is the worst hotel I have stayed in EVER. You have to take your wet dirty towels to the front desk to get clean ones. God knows how many people have put their dirty towels on that front desk. Cigarette butts on the floor in the hallways. Beds and and bedspreads in the room do not match and the beds are horrible. An air mattress would be better. […] Bathroom is minimally cleaned. NOT WORTH the savings of a couple bucks. Stay down the street at one of the other hotels and at least you get maid service and breakfast. I travel to Shelton often and i will NEVER stay there again. Jeg hadde forretninger i området, så jeg valgte dette hotelet pga at det var så nære. Det gjorde jeg rett i! Var relativt lett å finne fram til med bil. Ikke rare du kan foreta deg i øyeblikkelig nærhet, men det var ikke forventet. Respepsjonisten var veldig behjelpelig. Rommet var STORT, rent og veldig tilfredstillende.
