Vi har haft stor fornøjelse af at bo på Stratford Hotel. Hotellet ligger meget centralt lige ved Union Square. Værelserne er ikke så store, men servicen er fin.

Hotellet har en fantastisk beliggenhed ved Union Square i hjertet af SF. Fine værelser, om end noget små. Vær obs på at der ikke er gratis wi-fi på hotellet. Det koster 11 dollar pr. 24 timer, så det kan godt løbe op, hvis du bruger internettet til f.eks. at finde spisesteder og lign. i SF.

Hotellet ligger helt perfekt i San Francisco. Banen med sporvogne ligger lige uden for døren, hvor man bare kan hoppe på og betale om bord. De kører helt ned til Pier 42. Der er elevator og værelserne er små, men fine. Morgenmaden kan man til gengæld ligeså godt smide ud af vinduet. Det er bare lidt toastbrød med 2 slags syltetøj, enkelte muffinslignende […] tingester samt kaffe, te og juice. Vil klart anbefale at smutte ud på et af de mange andre breakfast steder... Alt i alt anbefalelsesværdigt. Ps. Hvis man kun skal have få overnatninger og kommer i bil, så benyt Valet parking, hvor du bare afleverer bilen foran hotellet, så kommer der en og henter den og kommer med den igen. Det koster ca. 30$ pr. / overnatning. Prisen på en alm public parking i SF er 27$ så det er ikke meget at spare, og så slipper man for "bøvlet". Læs mere

Man kan ikke finde et bedre og mere central område i SF og hotellet er udemærket. Prisen afspejler mere beliggenheden end værelsestandarden, men det er ok når man bor midt i byen

Rent og pænt hotel med en super beliggenhed midt i San Francisco. Det er nemt at komme rundt i resten af byen enten på gåben eller med offentlig transport, som findes meget tæt på! Venlig service fra de unge mennesker i receptionen. Ok morgenmad.

Rigtig tilfreds med dette hotell!! Morgenmaden er ikke af europeisk standard, men ok. Müsli, muffins og toast, samt juice og te/kaffe. Dejligt værelse; renholdt og fint. Beliggenheden er dog det bedste med dette hotell; tett på det meste. For et ekstra tillægg kan man få valetparking hvilket vi var rigtig glade for.

The room was really small but was nicely kept. The girls at the counter were not hospitable and didn't offer any help with luggages, holding the door open, etc. The location is great however.

Hotellet har en perfekt beliggenhed med Union Square rund om hjørnet og Powell St. lige udenfor døren. Hotellet er rent og pænt. Værelset var funktionelt men lille.

Hotellets beliggenhed er alt - du bor side om side med de allerfineste hoteller og kan hoppe på "the cable cars" lige udenfor døren - er du på shopping tur, så bo her og brug pengene på shopping. -Morgenmaden er kedelig, men absolut ok. -Personalet er flexibelt og søde og rare. - Rengøringen absolut i top. Hotellet opfyldte alle mine basale krav på bedste vis, Det er ikke luksus men det er rent og pænt. Jeg ville bestemt gerne benytte hotellet igen.

Værelset var varmt om eftermiddagen og aften, men en loftsvifte afhjælper sagen. Varmen er mit eneste ankepunkt.To udmærkede senge, et pletfrit badeværelse på et hotel lige midt i byen., så man kan gå ærinder, gå på sightseeing og tage hjem indimellem. Venligt personale hele vejen igennem. Udmærket morgenmad, igen set i forhold til prisen. Yugurt, toast […] og muffins kaffe og juice. Pæn plads på værelset - TV osv. Vi købte os trådløst netadgang, men det viste sig noget usikkert. Det lykkedes dog altid efter nogle timers tur. Læs mere

loved the location, very convenient and comfortable. Privacy is minimal but not to the point where it is uncomfortable. I would totally book at the Stratford again.

Very nice hotel. great location on the corner of union spuare. litle noisy if you get the street view room (but for us its better because the other rooms are facing a wall). the staff is very very friendly and helpfull. helped us with a smile every time. the room doesnt have air condition but we stayed in april so its good. but in the summer i think […] it can be too hot. Although the room was the smallest I've ever stayed in, it was clean and suffient. The location was excellent as it is on the trolley line and only couple of blocks away from the BART station.

A very small room and the bathroom sliding door was impractical. But the room was clean and the hotels location is awesome.

Clean rooms, comfy beds and a basic breakfast - all you need for the price (very tasteful decore too). Only issue was lack of space to put suitcases, but we worked around that and hardly spent any time in the room anyway.We had a nice high room at the front so we could see the action in the street below but weren't too disturbed by the late night "ding […] ding" of the trolley cars. Just in the middle of the city. If you are with a car, you will pay 27$ a day for parking.... the rooms are quiet small. The front desk people were very helful and friendly. The hotel is well located and in overall it is nice hotel

right in the middle of everything

Great location for shopping and cable car. The cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. The reception desk is excellent. Lift is slow Room is small but thoroughly enjoyed my stay there and wouldn't hesitate to stay again. I caught BART from the airport and once I arrived at my stop it was only minutes walk to the hotel.

This hotel was so personable. Elisa the front desk lady and the other staff were very friendly. My room was small but the clean sheets and cute decor made up for it. Although the hotel is on a busy street, it was not noisy at all. I'd definitely stay here again!

after reading the reviews earlier I expected to be in very small quarters but the room size is not that bad. My family of 4 stayed in a double/double. It's not a large spacious room with lots of furniture but definitely comfortable unless you are a family of large people. The bathroom looked like it was newly renovated and the beds were firm. Our room […] face powell street so we could watch the trolley's. It can be loud if there is an event going on that night( we were there for St. Patrick's day and it was noisey) but the trolley sounds were fine. The hotel location is super convenient with lots of shopping nearby, union square and the trolley stop just outside the hotel. Læs mere

The Stratford Hotel is a gem. It is very close to shopping, transportation, convention centers, restaurants... and priced economically. OK, my room was small but I did not expect to spend much time in m room - I was in San Francisco! The management team and staff accomodated my requests in a couretous and timely manner. this is definitley an older hotel, but the rooms were very clean and basic. The location was great, right in the middle of all the union square action. I wouldn't stay at this hotel if your looking for the romantic lunch tea time or for the breakfast, but for a quick getaway to the city, you can't go wrong.

The Stratford Hotel in Union Square is extremely well located, close to the center of the city where you can grab public transportation everywhere. There is even a BART stop close by for those coming from the airport. The hotel itself is small but cozy. Breakfast consists of toasts and coffee so plan accordingly. If you stay on this hotel, make sure not too stray below Market street as it's quite shady, however, if you stay within Union Square or go North or East to the financial area you will be fine and it's always well lit and populated. this hotel is in a prime location close to shopping and restaurants. The staff was great. The only drawback was that the rooms are extremely small and there was no control over the temperature in the room. We were very uncomfortable because it was too warm.

We arrived at Stratford Hotel after a long international flight, but were told we would not be able to check in at 3:00 because of a computer problem. We finally got into our room at about 4:30. The room itself was clean and comfortable, though quite small. My only real complaint about the room is the unevenness of the temperature. Very old. Very small queen room, open the door & the bed is about 4" away. Window looked out to a brick wall. No a/c had the window open at night & it rained there was a piece of sheet metal & when the rain hit it sounded like steel drums at 3 a.m. not what I wanted to hear. The wall our headboard was on the stairs were behind it. Elevator very slow […] so everyone was taking the stairs. We complained & did get moved to a suit. Bedroom was the same & looked out on the same brick wall, but there was a living room that looked out onto Powell st. was nice & big with a fridge, and a/c in the bedroom. Would not stay here again. We were really pleased with this hotel the location was ideal, right in down town, and they have free breakfast. Rooms were small but spotless, save money for enjoying San Francisco and sleep right in the center of all the action for a reasonable price.

I stayed for five nights at the Stratford Hotel in San Francisco. The hotel is central and very convenient to everything, the cable car line right at the door, excellent eateries and shopping. I strongly recommend the hotel.

We liked this hotel a lot. It's located in the middle of a very fun and busy neighborhood and only a ten minute walk from the convention center. The rooms were small but clean. Good wifi too. The only thing I didn't like was the shower. It is tiny and has a flow-restricting shower head that barely gets you wet. Other than that, it's great!

We booked for two nights and stayed for another four! We so enjoyed our stay at the Stratford Hotel in San Fransisco. It is so central to everything, the cable car line right at the door, excellent eateries, coffee shops, cinema - we could not believe our luck in hitting on the Stratford as an online booking, completely ignorant of San Fransisco.The […] tariff not only included breakfast, but they offered afternoon tea as well - how much fun is that! My friend and I decided to go to San Francisco for a weekend of touristy sight seeing and we decided to stay at the stratford. We did not realize what a great location it was in. The cable cars run right in front of the hotel, which was really convenient. The rooms were very clean and the towels were nice and fluffy. Beds were not as comfortable as […] the Hilton or Marriott but still pretty good! Loved the oldness of the hotel, it was like going back in time. Elevator was a little slow.....oh well. Hotel is old, but very clean and charming. Set in a great part of town - conveniently located. Would stay again and recommend.
