Man får hvad man betaler for - nothing more, nothing less. Men til gengæld har Hotel Carter en af de mest perfekte beliggenheder på Manhatten - og selv om man ikke lige synes Times Sq. er det mest charmerende sted i 'The Big Apple' så er der super nemt at komme til og fra med subway'en der ligger lige om hjørnet. Personalet flinke og hjælpsomme - Værelserne er ikke noget at skrive hjem om - små og lidt slidte men dog rene og ganske udemærket til prisen et sted at stille tasken og et seng at sove i - men ikke mere! Men alt i alt ganske godt tilfreds.

The hotel incl. the rooms definitely look bigger on the pictures than in real life, so don't be surprised... Pretty good location without being located in the most touristic areas. The Subway is three minutes walk away, so you can quickly get to the tourist attractions.

The hotel is too small. Everyone writes this about the hotel, but one is still surprised of how small the rooms are. Our door touched the bed when we opened it. The beds are at the same time horrible! But it has a lovely location. It is very close to metrostations, stores for shopping and breakfast/lunch/dinner-restaurants. "Great location and clean rooms"
Fine average turist hotels, the rooms are clean and the furnitures nice and relatively new. Staff is friendly but not very helpful with regards to directions and advice. The area is really great, not too posh and with several really good restaurents. I world go back, especially considering the fair price.

Urimeligt dyrt for en overnatning i et så lille værelse på et hotel med så forholdvis ringe service (også selvom det er i højsæsonen) Venner, se jer omkring og find hoteller i New York City der er halvt så dyre, dobbelt så gode, og ligger midt i begivenhedernes centrum. Vi var yderst tilfreds med hotellets beliggenhed. Det ligger i et roligt kvarter tæt på Central Park og Broadway. 10 min gang til subway og busser. Der er en god stemning og betjening på hotellet. Rengøring og rene store håndklæder hver dag, var super. Det levede til fulde op til vores forventninger

This hotel was OK. The room was teeny tiny, knocked your elbows on the walls tiny. Sheets were mildly stained, not gross yucky stains, but old pen marks and the like - you didn't really want to crawl between them. "More cramped and twice as expensive as Tokyo"
The room was barely large enough for the bed, with no clothes dresser, no desk, not even a chair, and no place to open a single suitcase other than on top of the bed. "smallest room ever"
We have slept at this Hotel twice because we did not know that the room are the smallest I have ever seen anywhere. We taught we had seen small rooms elsewhere in the world but this Hotel wins the CAKE. We were in NYC to take a boat for a cruise so the night before our cruise the room ventilation was very noisy and it took us a while to understand that […] it was not a parked truck outside that had it's motor running but that it was the floor bellow us ventilation system that was making that noise. The bed was not very comfortable. The second room after the cruise was a bit bigger but not enough since we had to put our luggage in the bathtub to make sure we would have room to move in the room. The washroom was almost half the size of the room and our cabin during the cruise was way bigger. The price was fair but I did not like the service. "Very clean but small"
I stay at the Belnord often when I am in NYC. It is very convenient for my business when I am in town, and it is also very clean and well maintained. I believe that the rooms have been recently renovated. The only challenge is that the rooms are very small. This was a very nice, small,clean,quiet hotel in a great neighbourhood with good shopping and close access to the park and museums. Perfect if you want a taste of the life New York residents live, Very convenient if you want to get downtown as it is one block to the subway and about 10 minutes to Times Square.

we got the same room. this time a little less painful but still need time to ask for code to get to internet. people could be nicer working behind the desk. toilet got a little dirtier than last time tho.

This modest hotel has a wonderful location one block from the 86th street and Broadway IRT subway stop, and one block in the other direction to Amsterdam Avenue and many,many wonderful restaurants. Hi All, Just stayed at the Belnord--was excited to stay--the location is great. I stayed in a single room--the room was clean, but wow was it spartan and absolutely tiny! Definitely the smallest hotel I have ever stayed in--including my national and international travels. It was pleasant enough, but for me, it was difficult to get over how tiny the […] room was. You open the door, there is the bed and that is pretty much the size of the room. Also, the heating system was excessively noisy. On the plus side, the location is great if you want to be on the upper west, and right next to 1 train, one block away on 86th st. Yes, the rooms in this hotel are very, very small - in fact it is the smallest room I've ever stayed in. Even with the smallness of the room and space in general, it was a great place to stay. You can't beat the location on the Upper West Side - many restaurants and sites to see very close by. Walking distance to Central Park and great shopping very […] close by. And the price is one of the lowest in town. The entire hotel was VERY clean - no worry of bed bugs or other critters here! This hotel was very clean. The room had nice real wood trim, as did the hallways. It's a small room, but the bed was comfortable, nice flat screen TV, good heat and is literally 1 block from the subway. There is a Starbucks just around the corner. Great location - clean neighborhood with lots of food offerings! Cozy room - not much of it even by NY standards!! We only slept there so it didn't matter. There was a nice closet with shelves to store luggage so you didn't trip all over yourself.
