This hotel is perfect for a visit to Crufts Dogshow - with dog(s) - very near by the showground - and near by good area to walk the dogs as well. The dogs are very welcome - so a little worn out rooms is OK - and the same with the cleaning standard :-)

Der var ikke mange ting at sætte en finger på, kun lidt omkring parkering og så at nogle af værelserne er lidt gamle. Men alt fungerer rigtig godt, fitness rummet er udstyret med alt tænkeligt udstyr, morgenbuffetten er fantastisk og medarbejderne er smilende og venlige. Perfekt beliggenhed i gå-afstand til NEC. Effektivt personale - skuffende måltid i Lounge. Dejligt stort værelse. For dyr internetadgang.

Jeg har bedømt selve hotellet, som var i top. Mit besøg i restauranten var under al kritik. Der var ingen service- vi måtte igen og igen bede om vin - vand- Buffeten var tømt og mange skåle var tomme. Vi havde bord til kl.. 21.00 kl 21.30 fik vi vin og måtte rykke for vand. I have used this hotel before and it has been OK. I think the rooms could do with refurbishing, I had mine changed due to a faulty plug and water leaking. The hotel itself is fine and service generally good especially breakfast which normally lets most hotels down. If you do decide to drink at the bar be prepared for high prices. Right, I had no issues with the Hotel which was clean, nicely fitted, and conveniently placed near the NEC and Birmingham International Railway Station. However, I have heard a lot of reports from friends about the rudness of staff towards them, as we were there for a Japanese animation convention and frequently in costume, as the seemed to be dismissive […] of some of my friends. All the staff I encountered however seemed to be very pleasant if a little aloof at times, so it seems to have been a very mixed bag. The main issue people had was with security. The food was overpriced but that seems to be par for the course in Hiltons and other high end Hotels. Læs mere

Resturant service top class, pool & leisure area good. Pillows not comfy just being picky.

The room was excellent value and well appointed. The hotel staff are friendly and efficient and it's location is perfect for both the airport and the NEC exhibition halls.

On arrival, i was waiting on my room for half an hour. Then I go sent down to the back (staff quarters) of the hotel. Room was no bigger than a normal hotel bathroom. State of repair was bad. Very disappointing from a big name hotel. Wont be staying again.

I stayed for one night in a smoking room, which was nice to have the option. The staff were helpful and attentive. The hotel is huge with over 800 rooms so can be a long walk to your room. They had a vanity mirror in the room which is useful for doing make up. There is a shower over the bath but it is fixed so no hand held option. I stayed in the single room, and it was basic and a tired, but the service of the hotel especially the breakfast was excellent! It's 20 minutes walking distance from terminals or you have to wait for shuttle which is failrly regular.

Nice hotel with a very convenient location if you are attending an event at the NEC. Walking distance to train station and Skytrain to Birmingham Airport.

The hotel is very convenient for the NEC. It is very large and this meant that there was a very long slow queue to check-in although all the desks were open. There was also a very long queue to get a table for breakfast and queues at the breakfast bar. The public areas were reasonable but the room I had was noted and did not represent value for money. […] This is an expensive hotel that is not trying very hard. Stayed here for an exhibition- would recommend this place as it's so close to the venue and the room is in a good clean condition.

My company had their annual conference there. I booked myself in a day early. Hotel staff were very accomodating about making my transition from self booked to company booked room completely seamless. Conference facilities very good, lots of flexibility on size of rooms.

Hotel was dated and needs a refurbishment, My single room was so hot and I even turned off the radiator but it still did not switch off, so I had the window open all night which was not plesant due to noise when you have an airport and motorway close by. friendly helpfull staff , very comfortable bed , breakfast was brilliant with a huge choice , & perfect location for nec centre & easy 2 get train into birmingham centre much easier than driving in. The down side we found were the prices in the main seating area at the bar & coffee shop a malibu & orange juice & pint of beer £11 & got charged the same […] for 2 cinnamon latte's , it was cheaper to have room service! In my 20 years of business travel around the world I experienced the worst room ever, the single room was worse than a back street bed sit ,smelly, 70style tv, broken radiator, mouldy shower curtain, very dated. Big, comfortable hotel, but food is expensive - £16 for burger and chips in the bar, plus 'discretionary' 10% service charge added to your room bill.

Easy walk from the LG, comfortable as you would expect from a Hilton.

Very disappointed with this hotel. Arrived to find dozens of smokers at the hotel entrace, everything reeked of smoke. Unfriendly reception desk staff upon my arrival. Given room 314, filthy mattress and mattress cover, old smelly single room in desperate need of renovation or demolition. Had to pay for an upgrade to a slightly better room - 1037, no […] view, only a bitumen rooftop, no fridge in room. Hotel has a grand foyer, lounge and restaurant, but rooms are well below Hilton standard and I have stayed at Hilton Hotels throughout the world. Would NEVER go back to this one. Læs mere

We had a faulty vanity mirror which fused all the electric in our room. The maintenance man came and while trying to mend it got an electric shock, my daughter was using it earlier and it could of been her. We were then moved to another room and off we went to the horse of year show when we came back yet again no electric in the room at 2am we finally […] got some electric. When checking out they said we had had a £3.75 phone call to pay for which we did not make. Very nice hotel but they were not very helpful on the above. After spending over £200 on meals and drinks in the hotel we felt as though they were trying to say we had pinched a phone call which I can assure you we had not. The manager was not available but they said he would email me or give me a call to apologise as yet I have not heard a word. Læs mere

Ideal location and luxurious comfortable accomodation...we enjoyed our stay

room rates, hotel location and overall stay was good. But awful selection of beers at over £4 per pint plus service. Ouch. Shameless pricing for a captive NEC based audience.

Excellent location for the NEC ,short walk,also easy access to the airport and trains,short taxi ride into Town,some of the best Curry houses you ll ever eat at ,my vote goes to the Titash,amazing,Hotel is first class,beds a bit lumpy but can't fault it ,bar is very lively ,restaurants expensive so take a taxi into town. Will be back

Living Well Health Club has major hygene problems: used towels strewn in the changing room, bad odours from the toilets and when I visited a swimwear drier that had a bucket collecting the water...until of course it overflowed! Nice...not! Further, left this as a comment to the General Manager of the Hotel...8 days ago and still no reply!

check in very efficient. Deluxe room was of a good size and very clean. Bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept in. Leisure facilities excellent. Stayed in exec rooms, comfy enough but showing signs of wear and tear. From the TV remote held together with tape to the sink that took an age to empty not to mention the broken coffee machine in the exec lounge this is in an hotel in need of some investment. Only walkable to NEC Halls 1-5 otherwise you need the car or take a bus.

The Metropole is on the surface a typically large Conference/Event hotel. However, despite its size, it manages to offer some very personal touches and a clearly dedicated and efficient staff that make your stay a total pleasure. Despite the large number of rooms and guests, there is no evidence of delay or bad service which you might expect from other […] providers. On the contrary, the public areas remain calm, clean and efficiient and the staff, without exception, truly delightful. I would recommend the Metropole without hesitation for those planning to visit the NEC or the surroundign area - we shall definatley return. Læs mere

perfect place to stay for visit to NEC - just a five minute walk from venue. Staff courteous, rooms reasonable size. Bath tub and walk in shower which you do not always get in UK hotels. Downside: spa treatments only available Fri/sat and fully booked so unable to indulge.
