Gode værelser / behagelige senge. Vi var ikke generet af det var et kasino-hotel. Gode spise muligheder på stedet til yderst rimelige priser. Vi havde et ophold med morgenmad inkluderert - det var helt fantastisk.Og det lå i rolige omgivelser. Klart at foretrække fremfor hoteller på The Strip. Vi vil helt sikkert bo her igen.

Take a break from the casino action and check out the Fremont Street Experience, right outside the hotel doors. Twelve million LED lights and a 550,000-watt sound system power nightly sound-and-light shows on this 5-block, pedestrian-only stretch of Fremont Street. Shows take place from dusk to midnight. Day and night, the street hosts live music, classic-car displays, and holiday festivals---and pedestrian traffic overflows into the Golden Nugget.
Also on the show scene is impressionist, singer, and entertainer Gordie Brown, who takes the stage 5 nights a week. Brown is best known for his comedy and impressions of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jack Nicholson, and Sylvester Stallone, as well as Las Vegas icons like Elvis Presley and Sammy Davis, Jr.

The $30 million pool complex the Tank includes a shark tank, a 3-story enclosed waterslide that zips you through the tank (safely), and 13 private cabanas (surcharge). At the 3rd floor of the Tank, the Hideout offers an escape for guests 16 and older. Here, you can swim in the 2-story infinity pool, or sprawl out on a chaise longue (surcharge) and catch some rays. Grab a cocktail at the H2O Bar, or create your own private party by renting a poolside cabana. The pool is open mid-morning till mid-evening. H20 Bar, the Hideout, and the spa tub are open until late night.

"DEN GAMLE DEL AF LAS VEGAS"
Hotellet ligger i den gamle del af Las Vegas og er placeret direkte med udgang til gågade. Der er fri parkering for overnattende gæster og der er underholdning om aftenen på gågaden. Dejligt hotel og hjælpsomt personale.
The A/C was old and really noisy, if you wanted to sleep you either had to turn it off or be drunk enough to ignore it.

Man er meget afhængig af at have en bil, med mindre man kun vil være i den gamle del af Las Vegas. The strip med alt det kendte Vegas er 15-20 minutter i bil fra Golden Nugget! Det er nok derfor, det er SÅ billigt!!
"Rigtig lækkert"
Hotellet er virkelig lækkert, rigtig flot, god service. Check-inn tog lidt lang tid hvilket var træls da vi ankom halv tolv om natten. Deres pool med hajakvarium var virkelig flot og god tidsfordriv. "Fremont street is nice"
We booked the Golden Nugget especially because of the nice poolarea, which turned out to be very nice (you can even play blackjack right at the pool), but it was so extremely crowded that we didn't bother using it. The breakfast buffet is quite okay, but for the other meals I would recommend going to some of the other hotels. Good value for the money - nice **** hotel with great pool and nice clean rooms. Good buffet to a reasonable price (except for weekend). A part of the Fremount Experience area, but long way to the Strip.

I have never experienced worst service than we did on Golden Nugget. When we arrived we had to wait 1 hour in line to check in. When our internet didn´t work we have to wait ½ hour (no one answered the phone when we tried to call the reception from our room). At check out we one more time waited 1 hour. Old school when it is at its best ! Why stay on the Strip when you can stay down town, the perfect Las Vegas experience. Recommend you stay a few nights down town and the rest on the strip.

"Customer service is not a priority here..."
First, I paid for an upgraded suite in the recently renovated Rush tower. The room is decent, but not worth the extra expense. I visited my cousin's room in the Carson tower (lower rates) only to discover that the rooms are not terribly different. In fact, he had a much better view and a quieter stay. If that's not bad enough, the maitre d' (named Blaze) […] at the Grotto was extremely pompous, pretentious, and rude. Plus, many if our party had different rooms in the Rush tower. After the maid cleaned the room, our cards stopped working. Hotel management tried saying that we demagnetized the cards with our cellphones; yes, the six of us managed to demagnetize our room cards with our cellphones at roughly the same time. I guess we're gifted that way and the basic laws of probability don't apply to us. But hey, mistakes happen, right? My issue is that hotel management was patronizing and rude in handling these matters. So, if you hope to receive good customer service for your money, you may want to reconsider your accommodations and avoid the Golden Nugget!!!! Læs mere
My stay was great the hotel is beautiful the room was great. We had 3 people stay in our room our only complaints is that they never gave us 3 glasses to use, they never replaced the coffee cups so we ran out of cups the blow dryer wouldn't work on high if you used it on high it would turn off and I would have to wait to turn it back on or use it on […] low/med. Overall the hotel and the service was very nice, but there didn't seem to be any perks or deals. They even charge you for the in room coffee. Never had to pay for that before! Ever!

Checking in was quick and customer service very nice...they checked us in early no problem! Rush Tower was booked, so we stayed at the Carson Tower. I was very pleased with the room...the bed...the best I've ever slept in as far as hotels. I couldn't believe it... Food was excellent...ate at the Grotto and the Grill! Didn't get a chance to try the sushi […] place...but will definately next time. Pool was great..always entertained by the sharks and fish.. and the slide a lot of fun. Was able to find a chair fairly easy. People staying there all seemed very nice as well.! Will definately come stay again! Played a lot of video poker and the bartenders were great! "Kid friendly"
Our first stay here and we had our three kids, 8,10,&11...they absolutely loved the pool , and so did we. They were able to swim while we got some play time at the card tables thereThe room was very big and was a perfect fit for all of us. The room was also very clean and up to date. I was very satisfied. The one thing I would like to see change is […] the check in wait line. A bit long but for the great service it was well worth it!!! Vegas is not a place for kids but this hotel made it a nice stay for us and the rate was awesome. "Weekend with the girls"
We had a great time. We weren't too pleased with the over crowded pool. Apparently in order to go to the "adult only" pool, you have to have reservations so be prepared if you don't want to be surrounded by kids.... EVERYWHERE! Also if you want coffee in the morning, bring your K-cups. It is a Keurig machine BUT you have to pay $10.00 for 3 K-cups. […] We stayed here previously so knew ahead of time to bring them. Hotel and facilities were great. Room had plenty of space and was nicely furnished. Good facilities with shops and restaurants within the complex. The hotel was a long way from the strip and the rest of the night life.

would be better if customers made aware that a reservation is not guaranteed unless you buy vip pkg.....also had problem cashing out chips because of one person shooting the sxxx. had to complain and got my chips cashed at a supervisor desk...line was approv 30 deep and waited at least 20 minutes...never seen this before at any casino

Although this may be one of the cleanest hotels in Fremont I was'nt all that impressed. The food was bad, I did like the pool area. We checked in and a few hours later I discovered the shower did not work, we called the front desk and they were not very helpful in trying to fix it. They wanted to give us a discount on the room for the shower not working […] which we refused . We asked to be moved to another room with a working shower and they wanted to charge us for THEIR shower not working! We did ask to speak with a manager and they eventually moved us to another room but it must not have been cleaned too well because the bathroom reaked of urine. I didnt feel like going through another hour long argument to be moved again and since it was only a one night stay we just didnt use the bathroom unless we really needed to. All in all the casino and pool area are nice, the service and rooms are not all that impressive. Læs mere

I stayed in the Rush Tower and the rooms are wonderful. Big bathroom with robes, slippers, nice TV, sitting area, and lots of space. Very quiet at night but only a short walk to the excitement on Fremont St. One gripe I had was a lack of electical outlets. I had to iron my shirt in the bathroom because there are no outlets in the bedroom/living room […] area. Odd. The Italian restaurant, Grotto, was perfectly decent and had a reasonable price.
