Stunning views of the ocean but a not so satisfactory cottage. Yiu literally walked uphill from the bedroom to the bathroom. The beds were so firm as to resemble a hard board. The tub leaked water onto the bathroom floor from the underside of the tub. The bathroom floor felt soft and punky. The porch needed to be swept and cleaned of mold. We stopped by on our way to Castine to check in and the women was very friendly. the room was cozy and comfortable Was very quiet and would stop by that one again. 5 stars for us.

Love this little motel with the great little cottages, right on the bay - close to several nice restaurants - good central spot for sightseeing & shopping. Basic as far as amenities (no hair dryers or microwave) but lovely staff, clean and comfortable. Would definitely make it our base of operations again.

We stayed in cottage #10. It was super clean and had a kitchenette. We loved everything about it and would highly recommend it. Ocean views and very comfortable bed.

Could use new beds

There's a reason this hotel is so inexpensive. It's cute but definitely stuck in the 1990s. The front desk does everything by hand and seemed annoyed I had made my reservation using (gasp) a computer. It would be ideal for lengthy stays because of the full kitchen (with glassware and utensils and fridge). The view is nice and you are only a stones throw […] from the beach. The cleaning staff did enter my hotel while I was showering despite the "do not disturb" sign hanging from the door which I found unprofessional. Very much like the family vacation rooms used 50-60 years ago. Nice for nostalgia but lighting was dfificult.

Beautiful view of the water front. Very dated but not in a bad way--kind of a retro setting. Took a morning stroll on the shore line--quiet un-comercialized area. Could use more comfortable mattress. We enjoyed our nights stay.

We have stayed at several Belfast motels in the past, and have found them to be clean and adequate, but by no means luxurious. As we pulled into Colonial Gables, the exterior of the structures led us to expect the same; but we were very pleasantly surprised by our cabin's interior. Our particular cabin had been recently renovated; so everything was […] not only clean but new, including a large flat screen tv in the living room, very comfortable furniture, queen size beds, new kitchen appliances, etc. All with a view of the water! I cannot speak for the motel rooms (or even if all their cabins have been renovated), but this one was a winner for sure. Læs mere

The cottage that we stayed in was very recently updated, the beds were very comfortable. the kitchen was brand new with all amenities. the living area was great and there was a nice size new flat screen tv. ...but be aware it is an older property. We stayed in the mtel rooms not the cottages. It was pretty much as advertised, and it was reasonably priced. The bathroom had loose tile, and the windows didn't lock. The beds were about average for this type of older property. We arrived a little later than we had expected. The Inn Keeper did not make me feel as though I was too late, but rather offered me tea and brownies. Our room was upgraded and we enjoyed a marvelous view of the town. We were there mid-week, during the end of season, so there was not a lot of activity going on around us. But that did not keep us from […] enjoying walking around the area of the Inn. The stay exceeded my expectations. The cottage we stayed in was old and tired, but very clean. The view was excellent

The cottages were typical waterfront cottages worn but comfortable. We had a one bedroom that had 2 full beds, a LR with sofa and loveseat and a FULL kitchen and well equiped even with dishsoap. They had remodeled some of the cottage which was nice. Every morning we would sit outside on the porch and enjoy the sunshine and water view. Loved, loved, loved the hotel...Its in a great location..it looked like all rooms and cottages had a ocean view. Beautiful little location.

The motel room was quite dated, especially the bathroom, and it appeared that one of the two double beds had been used--we found half a pill and hair on the sheets when pulling back the covers. The motel rooms get quite a bit of noise from Rte. 1.

Large Private Deck, Beautiful Views. Comfortable Bed and chairs. Great Location to see the Maine Coast area from.

Had a cottage right by the ocean. Was a bit old but confortable, clean and quiet.

Das Motel und die Cottages liegen direkt am Meer. Am schönsten ist es, wenn man so nahe wie möglich am Meer ein Cottage gemietet hat, da man dann nur das Meeresrauschen und nicht die Autostraße hört. Man hat von allen Zimmern und Cottages aus einen wunderschönen Blick aufs Meer. Das Cottage war sehr modern , neu und sauber eingerichtet. Es ist zwar […] klein, aber es fehlt an nichts. Wie in den USA meistens üblich, muss man ins Auto steigen, um etwas zu unternehmen. Der Ort Belfast ist auch ein nettes Örtchen. Auch den erreicht man nur mit dem Auto.
