The motel was generally in good condition. Room was clean. We had been staying near Gulf Shores in a motel that was not as clean and more expensive. This was worth the extra drive to get to the beach. Price was good. We enjoyed out stay, even though our hotel room did not have a microwave. when we asked, could they provide us with one they did.

the staff was very polite and assisted us with any situation, but the condition of the motel was poor in terms of quality and appearance. That is to say that the place is bad need of rennovation etc or updating to meet the quality of other motels in this chani where we havs stayed

Have stayed here before and will again. Night manager was great and agve me extra coffee.

For some reason, the bed felt wet and humid. Actually, the whole room felt that way. The bathroom was too small and the bed wasn't very comfortable. However, convenient location, clean room, and great service. For a 2 day stay for a wedding, not bad. However, most definitely the most uncomfortable night's sleep I've ever had at a hotel.

Lobby decor was, of course, much nicer than the room itself. Thought because of location it would have been a little more upscale. Disappointed that the room did not have a microwave.

Very close to the Pier, restaurants, and only 45 min. to Gulf Shores (away from the tourist). Very helpful staff. Breakfast is very good and free.

This hotel was chosen because it was a last minute decision. All others were filled and I am glad they were because our stay at Holiday Inn Express Fairhope was wonderful. Thumbs up! It met our every need financially, comfort, and cleanliness. I will be back!

Our stay was very pleasant, the hotel staff were very helpful in all matters (where to eat, close by attractions, and in giving directions). Our room was very clean and an issue was resolved very quickly. The staff made sure that continental breakfast was fully stocked during serving hours. After a very unsatisfying interaction with another hotel, we tried this one. It was excellent. Very comfortable, and they even had a hot breakfast every morning with a changing menu! My only concerns were that the tub/shower drained very slowly (20 min) presumably b/c of sand clogging and the bathroom faucet had a fast drip. Neither one was enough to […] ruin our stay though. I loved the hotel. The staff was friendly and it was very clean. Lanscaping was pretty as well. Pool had leaves in it though. Beds were sort of hard and pillows were terrible.

there where 2 sides of the hotel. one faced the beach and the other faced the canal. I unknowingly booked the canal side. the mattresses were very thin and when i walked to the other side i noticed that thier mattresses were much thicker and they also had a microwave and fridge. I have stayed at plenty of Holiday inn's in the past, I must say, this hotel was not one of our best stays... The staff was very polite and friendly. But is was my choice to book on the outskirts of the area, Due to the very expensive condos resorts and hotels. But we chose Holiday inn express, Because we are familar with the chain... The BAthrooms […] are extremely SMALL!!!!!!! And all around our Toilet was rusty like leakage coming fron the top back of the toilet and all around the back on the floor...And for the first time in my life of staying in a hotel... I found a ROACH crawling on the bathroom wall!!!!!! Never in my life have I ever seen that! So yeah that really threw me off...The beds are not comfortable at all... But I must give them one plus sign... The air conditioner in the room worked fabulous... And As long as we are *Comfortable while we are asleep and not sweating, then I can live with everything else...But do not think We will be going back to Gulf Shores anytime soon so I know now to get something a lil more closer Cause that was just too much Driving....But again that was not there fault it was mines cos I was the one whpo booked the hotel... it was really goos a really good service but the carpet in our room had a not that plesent smell but everything else was good ooooo really good breatfast

My family and I stayed at this hotel during our vacation to Gulf Shores. The hotel was more than what I expected! The staff was respectful and courteous. We never ran out of towels no matter how many times my kids swam in the pool. The rooms are very nice and cozy, and they all come with a refridgerator, but no microwave. The room was not ready at 3:00 for check in. The staff did not give us any information about the hotel i.e. breakfast, computer, pool ect.. when we checked in and did not even tell us when check-out time was. The carpet was filthy as my socks were black from walking on it and the pool needed to be skimmed for bugs. Nice hotel and location--Rooms were clean, but the elevator floor and downstairs hallway were filthy. That would be easy to take care of and would have made our stay much more enjoyable.

Quality and maintainence of holiday-inn for that price is not good..

I stayed at this hotel for a triathlon. The staff made special arrangements to open their breakfast buffet early to accomodate those of us who needed to eat early. Upon returning to the hotel after the race, and after the breakfast hours were over, the staff found some yogurt for my wife and I. booked two queen beds on line.....then followed up with a phone call directly to the hotel. They insured me i would have TWO queen beds.....i walked in the room to find ONE queen bed!!!! i brought this to the attention of the staff and she was rude and no help!!!!! would not recommed this hotel to anyone!!!

Super nice staff and the rooms were clean. Very quiet and comfortable. If we ever pass there again we will return to this hotel.

Hotel is very clean, staff is great, free breakfast is a treat. But, the bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever stayed in. I could not have slept 2 nights on this bed.

We had a nice time at the Arts and Crafts show. We really appreciated the free shuttle service. The wine and cheese each evening was a special added gift. Breakfast was convenient, good and free! This was our second year to stay with you and we will recommend to all and return next year. The staff are so friendly, helpful and nice!

The hotel was very run down. We turned on the heat and it set off the fire alarm. The bathroom didn’t eliminate any moisture from the shower. Thus, the moisture was allowed to flow into the hotel room. Unfortunately, the air conditioner didn’t eliminate the moisture either, and the room stayed humid throughout the duration of our vacation. Upon arrival, we were happy to see a Burger King right across the lot because we were hungry. There was a lof of businesses and eateries on the street. The receptionist was very friendly. There were a lot of kids hanging around the hotel because of a baseball tournament so that was a downside. We stayed in the new wing they had built, thank goodness. […] It was clean, quiet, and very comfortable. I could not say the same for the main wing, which is aged, the elevator was scary, the carpet needs redoing. The breakfast was okay, the pool is nothing fancy and there were ants around it, but I'm not a swimmer anyway. The main doors you should have a keycard to enter did not lock. All in all, we enoyed ourselves. If you ask for a room in the new wing, you shoud enjoy it. Læs mere

Friendly and efficient staff but the beds are old and sagging in the middle and the room had that old musty smell like sour laundry.

The pillows were pitifully small; otherwise, the place was great. Very friendly people.
