Comfort Suites Columbus West - Columbus

This was the worst comfort suites I have ever stayed in!! I have always be impressed with the quality of everthing not this time.We had to ask three times for bedding for our sofa bed and extra towels for our fouth person. We made three trips to the front desk after 2 phone calls to get them!! I go to columbus often and will Never Stay or recommend […] this hotel.Please tell me that this was a fluke and that the one hotel chain who has never let me down is 20 years isn't going down hill. Overall we enjoyed our stay: convenient, quiet, clean, and very hospitable. Our only minor recommendation would be to improve the pillow quality. We would certainly recommend the motel to anyone traveling to the area.

We stayed over the week end for a soccer tournament and enjoyed the convenience, the size of the room with a nice sitting area, the pool & hot tub. What makes this a great deal is that a buffet breakfast is included in the rate. It is a good breakfast with a variety of options. Definitely recommend!

I had reserved 3 rooms, figured they would be held and ready and all next to eachother. When we go there 2 rooms were on one side of the hotel and the third was on the other. Third room hadn't even been cleaned yet, so they had to give us a room on another floor. All 3 rooms were supposed to be King suites and one of the rooms was not.

This was a totally satisfactory experience, once we got there. The hotel was easy to see from the freeway but more difficult to reach in the dark because it is necessary to get off the freeway and drive past the hotel to reach the street that actually winds back around to the hotel. PROS: My room was BED BUG FREE; it was CLEAN (except for a stained chair--see more on that under "Cons"); staff was friendly enough; location is very convenient to restaurants, shopping, highways, and attractions. CONS: Extremely noisy; very uncomfortable bed--very hard; outdated decor, wallpaper peeling in places; sofa in room was torn and "safety […] pinned" to hold fabric together (tacky and perhaps even dangerous if small children get around it) ; the seat of one out of two desk chairs was totally stained with who knows what; control in micro fridge was missing (but it still kept things cold) ********************* The appearance of the room left a lot to be desired, but at least it seemed to be clean--no funky odors, no strange hairs or stains of any kind on the linens, bath towels, vanity, or bathroom floor. Tub and toilet were clean. Ammenities were replenished as needed, and I have no complaints with housekeeping. Maintenance could do a better job gluing wallpaper back in place, and surely an upholsterer could have beeen called in to fix a ripped sofa, rather than placing a giant safety pin on it. My biggest complaint is how noisy the room was. If the hotel is full, don't expect to get a wink of sleep, especially if you are a light sleeper--you will hear every door slam, someone in the room next door turning the water on, a cough or a sneeze next door, and you will most certainly hear the tv on in someone elses room. I stayed on the 2nd floor, and not only did I get to hear everything going on in my neighbor's room until 2:30 am, I also got to hear stomping on the floor above me, which sounded like the Budweiser Clydesdales were having tryouts. The owner of this property needs to invest some bucks in major updates, which would hopefully include modifying the walls for a bit of sound proofing. Our first room was very dirty. The toilet seat was even broken and the toilet was dirty. They tried to move us to anther room cleaned by the same maid. I smelled of cirgarettes. When they moved us to a different floor, our room was clean and comfortable.

Great value (price to hotel quality). This hotel was the best among the various hotels we stayed at the past 10 days.

We found this hotel online and booked it from previous entries from other patrons. The hotel was very clean and the complimentary breakfast was great. We enjoyed the whirlpool and pool after a long day.

room was smaller than I expected, old television, pop machine in hallway aprox 2 doors down was vibrating so strongly I could hear it in my room all night, I almost went down the hall an d unpluged it. on the plus sidegood location and room was clean

Hotel was fine, but we were charged after the fact for that stupid little safe in the closet. i find this practice to be sneaky and underhanded. If this is part of the price for the room, tell me about it before I book my stay. How many people pay this without looking or because it is only $1.50 a day?

All in all this was a good hotel for the money. The room was clean. The staff was polite. The pool was nice and the hot tub was relaxing. The breakfast offered variety and was good. It is located close to shopping and lots of restaurants. There are only two things I would warn about - the doors are very thin and if you are hoping to get a good night's […] rest starting anytime before midnight good luck. People are coming and going and talking *loudly*. Maybe this could have been helped by requesting a less-convenient room further away from all the coming and going. The other issue was the free wi-fi which worked fine in the evening and would not work in the morning. I notified the front desk and they didn't (or couldn't?) do anything about it. The staff was nice and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. The neighborhood had all we needed.

A great place to stay. The lights from the neigboring car dealer were a bit bright at night, but other than that, the hotel was great. There was some noice from the floor above.

The rooms were nice with fridge and microwave. We were able to check-in a little earlier then posted. The swimming pool was a perfect temperature, not too cold for younger children (0-5). Time for a room upgrade. Drywall tape on ceiling was coming down. Toilet leaked and ran all night. Tub faucet dripped all night. Waffle batter was not sufficient and too runny. Bananas were good last week or the week before...way over ripe now. Staff was ok. AC unit in workout room sounded like a jet plane. ice machine on 1st floor broken, had to go […] to 3rd floor to get ice...pain in the butt. The "suites" are very small. there really isn't a separate room, just more of an out cove that has a small sofa bed and a table. the pool area is rather small as well. There were 5 kids in the pool and they always seemed to be in each other's way. The breakfast area was really small only had about 5 or 6 small (2-3 person) tables. We were there on […] a Saturday and it was extremely crowded. for the price we paid and our needs the "small" issues were okay. Here is why I wouldn't recommend the hotel to others. We found out Saturday morning that there were 5 cars in the parking lot that were broken into the night before. ( I understand that hotel parking lots are easy targets for criminals- I won't hold that against the hotel, as that can happen anywhere) Here's the problem.... the Police where there and wanted to view the parking lot security cameras, but no one at the Hotel knew how to play back the video, I could understand that if it was just a clerk working, but one of the Hotel managers was working and she didn't know how to work the system. What is the point of having camera's if the managers don't know how to work them!! I think this is a major training issue and If the manager's aren't trained to handle this situation. The room was clean and the bathroom was VERY clean! The room smelt like it hadn't been used and opened up for long while, could of been from the air condition unit. Overall we were satisfied with our stay and would stay there again.
