I stay in a lot of hotels, and it's not very often that one really reaches out and grabs me, but this one did. From the genuinely friendly staff to the really great breakfast, everything sparkled in this Holiday Inn. had the ubiquitous non-functional mag-key issue, and not only did the front desk clerk jump to replace it, she called to make sure I got […] into the room. The room had a large gap around the room heating / cooling unit on the floor. I had to place pillows from the bed around the heating / cooling unit to keep the warmth in the room, the outside temperatures was around freezing (Nov 14-16). I had also placed an order for breakfast. It was supposed to arrive at 8:00am, +/- 10 minutes. I had to call 2 times […] and find out about the delay. Had a wonderful stay with my kids. They only cared about the pool- which was clean and well-kept. One strange note, the first floor appeared to be college dorms?! Not an issue, just strange.

Great value for the money. When we booked the hotel I wondered about the noise since the hotel seemed to be fairly close to the airport but the noise from the airport wasn't an issue at all.

Construction in the room right next to mine. Hotel staff should really think about booking guests in a room with construction going on right next store, very load and could not get a deep sleep. Will deffinatly no recommend this hotel to friend

I stay at this particular Holiday Inn every summer while in Pittsburgh visiting friends who live in Moon/Coraopolis area. I was especially impressed this time with the young lady who checked me in; she had exceptional manners, was very warm and friendly. I GOT LOST TRYING TO FIND THE HOTEL, I CALLED AND THE PEOPLE ON THE COUNTER TALKED ME BACK TO THE HOTEL. I REALLY APPRECIATED THE COURTESY OF HELPING ME. THE HOTEL WAS CLEAN, MY ROOM WAS PLEASANT, THE STAFF WAS VERY ACCOMADATING. ALL IN ALL A GOOD STAY.

Our stay was fine except for one small thing. Room cleaning service was knocking on the door at 9:AM. - ouch! please stay away until 11:am which is check out.

My friend and I stayed here to attend a concert in a neighboring town. The hotel was good for what we needed it for, to sleep. The staff was friendly and the room was big and mostly clean. The room was fine with a view of the airport. However, we requested a wake up call at 4:00 am so we could have time to shower, etc., before we caught the 5:00 am shuttle to the airport. We happened to wake up at 4:30 AM and hurried to get downstairs to catch the 5:00 shuttle. What if we had slept on, feeling secure that we would be awakened at 4:00 […] am? Our stay was satisfactory. The only thing i was not happy with was the beds. Not very comfortable and definitely to small and I am of average height. We were told they were queen beds but felt more like twin beds!

I was not expecting alot as I had read that it was owned by the University there but was pleasantly surprised at the condition and the quiet. Nothing spectacular to look at or experience here but definitely a good nights sleep!

We had some vehicle problems and the desk person was very helpful. We felt it was our best stay every in a hotel. We used the airport shuttle and was very pleased to find this service available.

The staff were very helpful. I had a baby with me and requested whether they can get me access to their refrigerator and they sent one to my room and also when I wanted a microwave, they sent one too.

Hotel itself was just what I needed. It is located about 5 minutes or so from the airport. and has 24 hr shuttle every half hour. I came in around midnight. Airport signage was unclear about where to get shuttle, and I took the elevator with two bags to a level that was marked "hotels". It turns out there actually is one hotel, a Hyatt, in the airport […] building -- not sure why the sign was plural. When I phoned Holiday Inn help me find shuttle, I found out that the shuttle comes right where I got my bags. A call was made to tell the driver to make sure he came around again to get me before leaving airport. He did not stop near me when I waved to him, so I had to navigate around a bunch of people waiting for a city bus. He was not too helpful with my bags there or at the hotel. Next morning another driver was very helpful going back to airport. All else was great. Especially the large lovely indoor pool with skylights and open sliding doors. There was an issue with both the cable and the water, neither of which was the fault of the hotel, the one night I stayed there. Unfortunately, they happened to occur the same evening. The water was out from 11 pm to 4 am, but that didn't interfere with my schedule. The cable was out the entire evening. I missed my favorite shows, but again, not the […] fault of Holiday Inn. I was able to take the shuttle to the airport at 4:30 am the next morning and that was wonderful. During my stay I was told by one of the hotel staff members that the local college has rented out seven floors of the hotel to be used as a dormatory for incoming students in the Fall of 2012, leaving about 80 rooms for travelers.

The hotel was great except the cable was out, now normally this would not bother me as I don't usually watch TV but I was in town for the Pittsburgh marathon and the day before planned to spend time off my feet and relaxing. WIthout TV there is not much to do in a hotel room. I tried to call the front desk to inform them of the problem only to find […] out the phone in our room did not work. So I had to call the hotel from my cell phone and was told there was nothing they could do for either problem. Very frustrating for something that would under any other circumstances be a non issue. However the room where very clean and up to date, comfortable beds (I am really picky), the pillows were fresh (not smelling like someones else head, always a plus), and other than the TV issue the staff were very accomodating and even brought a microwave to the room for me so I could make my breakfast at 4am race day. Hotel was very clean. Room was spacious for the king sized bed we got. Plenty of good restaurants in the area, including the grille in the hotel. Pool and fitness room were great. I had room 500 the parking lot lights shined in the room all night and the chiphon curtains did not block the light. The heavier curtains to my amazement only were corner curtain with no way of closing. Other than that it was a good experience. The whirlpool was broken too.
