Worldgate Resort - Kissimmee

The hotel tried to put us in a room that was not what we paid for. We paid for a deluxe room and was put in a standard room. The housekeeping service moved all our personal belongings around(our things were not in a place where they needed to be touched for housekeeping to do their job).

I like this hotel, clean, accessible to I4, parks, restaurants. I would recommend to a friend :)

Rooms where not ready, they do not have queen beds as listed on web, phones do not work in rooms. They asked for you too wiggle the cords in order to use phones. They do not answer front desk phone. I paid for a deluxe room and was told when i got there that there is no such thing and do not know why i paid extra but it was on the site listed as deluxe. […] This hotel looks to have been nice at some point but i was not pleased at all. 1. Hours before arriving they told us we had no reservation. ...turns out It was booked under my 1st name. 2. The assigned room was for handicap access, was unmade and very dirty with a dehumidifier blowing. They gave us a new room. 3. At 2am they called us to ask why we were in that new room instead of the 1st room. They were not polite!

We wanted to stay at a comfortable resort since we were only going to be in town for two nights with our two small children. My husband is 6'2 so a King bed is a must. I booked the room b/c it had a King size sleep number bed (I have had previous back surgery so a comfortable matress is a must) with modern decor. I booked the hotel with either a pull […] out couch or roll away bed for my 5 year old a crib for my 8 mo old. I called the hotel two days after booking and then the evening of to make sure their wouldn't be any issues with our room and preferences (king, crib, etc.) when we got in since it would be late in the evening and I need to get my girls to bed. We got there and they had given away our room and only had two doubles. After TWO HOURS of waiting we finally were able to get into a room with two double beds. Once we got there it was old, run down and florida decor from 30 years ago and the bed folded when you sat on it. I called to complain of that and ask where my crib was which they said I could come wait in line b/c they were busy checking others in. At this point we were exhausted but I NEEDED my crib to put my baby to bed. The manger assured me that the crib would be in my room when we went to this room. We waited for 45 min. I finally went down stairs and asked where they kept them so I could go get them myself. Then the manager took me to the other side of the hotel and changed our rooms and put the crib in. I will NEVER stay here again. If you book this crap hole of a hotel, keep in mind you could be on the unrenavated side of the hotel which nothing more than a $30 a night crap motel. Even the "renivated" side was poorly done and falling apart. Do your self and your family a favor and book somewhere else. This hotel isn't what the pictures on the Internet show. Please don't be fooled by the misleading pictures or amenities. It is very dirty and has lack luster appeal. DON'T STAY HERE

There was trash left in second drawer. the bathroom had dirt on the floor in the bathroom. No trash bag in the bath. It was a nice hotel, but little things go missed.

Location was great. There was a free shuttle to Disney Animal Kingdom. The shuttle was prompt and efficient. However, our room left much to be desired. We were supposed to have a mini fridge. After my 4th request, we finally got one. Housekeeping was sadly lacking. We did not receive washcloths on 3 of our 4 days. The carpet was old and heavily stained. […] The bathroom floor did not look like it had been cleaned. The front desk staff was great! They waived our resort fee because of the difficulties. When we called for washcloths we were told housekeeping would bring us some which they never did. Læs mere

Hotel was one of the worst I have stayed in. Waited 30 minutes in line to check in. Halls were dirty, rooms were dirty. No running cold water in bathroom, had to brush teeth with hot water. Beds were sleepmatic, which if they worked, would have been nice. Just not a pleasant stay and as a very frequent traveler, I would not recommend it at all.

Staff at hotel exceptionally pleasant to talk with. Especially the night shift. Stayed at Worldgate through out tour company while on trip with middle school orchestra. Hotel gets a lot of business through this. Though there were hundreds of kids at hotel, not peep was heard after the 11:00 curfew the has in place for such groups. It's not the top of the line hotel, but the rooms were clean and neat and it was in a decent location. The downside is the hallways are tile not carpet so anyone coming or going with rolling bags is pretty noisy. Overall, it was a decent hotel for the price.

This hotel is pretty good. The location was good. The cleanliness was good. Nice shower. Good pricing and had several channels and a fridge in the room. The only thing that was my main dissatisfaction is that when looked at hotel online and reviewed details it said that the beds were Sleep Number beds which was one of the reasons we picked the hotel […] besides good pricing. The bed was not comfortable at all and had to have 2 doubles instead of just 1 king bed. Otherwise would recommend. Læs mere

I stayed at Maingate during Spring Break when all other hotels were double the price. The staff was friendly. While the bed wasn't the most comfortable it was good enough place to sleep on for one or two nights. Our room was obviously recently remodeled and the tile floors through out the entire room was phenomenal, wish more hotels would do that instead […] of carpet as it feels & looks cleaner. Loved that there was a cafe that served a limited selection of Starbucks coffee & drinks and a very nice kid's area equipped with tv playing new movies & (3) gaming systems. Overall I liked it and when in need of an inexpensive room I will certainly remember this one. Just beware that they do charge a $10 resort fee PER NIGHT and if putting it on a debit card they "hold" the $10 per night plus, in my case an extra $5, that they will remove a few days later when the exact amount given at checkout clears your account. This hotel for the price was overall an A+ . Fancy for less.Our room was very spacious ,with comfy sleep number beds .The staff members were super sweet and i will truly re book another visit to this hotel agian!

We stay at this hotel last year for the same function. Staff was fine. The overall condition is going down. Rooms now have tile floors that just dull and dingy looking. Will probably not stay there again.

The staff was very polite and helpful in all situations. The room was clean and housekeeping kept the room clean the duration of our 6 night stay. The pool was cool and relaxing. My only complaint was the "sleep number" beds. They weren't true sleep number beds and the "numbers" weren't on the same scale as my sleep number bed. This hotel is a located near all the major attractions and the neighborhood felt safe with lots of stores and places to eat. However, the property needs a lot of attention, the guestrooms in particular. It was a mission to get in an elevator, had to call it about three times before it actually opened its doors. There was a funky smell in the hallways […] as well as in the room. The furniture was old and stained; and the matresses and bedding were worn out and tattered. Bring your flip flops for the shower! The floor inside it was filthy. Although we didn't use the pool it seemed well-kept, small but good for kids. The lobby and general areas were nice, and there is a play area and a little theatre for the kids which I thought was adorable. The property has the potential to be great but the rooms definitely need to be upgraded and better maintained. It wasn't horrible but it wasn't great either. This hotel seemed like it was in the middle of renovations/ownership changes. The outside badly needs some TLC as the landscaping was lacking and the building really needs a coat of paint. One day I noticed an old TV near the lobby that said Hotel Info. It was clearly not functioning. Later I noticed it was down and a ladder was in its place. The last […] day we stayed it had been replaced with a new flat screen TV. On our floor by the elevator was a phone missing most of the buttons and it was also disconnected. Plus there was an abandoned board room and mysterious "resort fees" tacked on when the place is clearly not a resort. We stayed at this resort for the weekend, people were very friendly & informative about the area! The room that we stayed in was extremely clean & comfortable...Staff was outstanding. We for sure would go back again.

Late night when we checked in. Long wait, obvious confusion between associates behind desk. We were given a room that was unavailable (someone's possessions inside the room, room not made up, etc.) Problem was corrected but between the long wait for service and wrong room assignment, I cannot recommend this hotel. Okay so I booked this hotel based upon other users reviews. It was a mistake. Perhaps it was only my room, but going to share the horrible experience I had. First, we entered the room and it reaked as if it were an old smoking room converted to a non-smoking room. However we were very tired, so we ignored it and went to bed. Next day after we got […] back, maid had not replaced any towels, but she took all of them. So I had to go get new towels from the front desk. Nothing like showering and drying off with a towel only to discover it still had a clump of hair from the dryer on it. Additionally while in the bathroom I discovered a large hole in the wall at the base of the tub. The shower head wall plate was coming off of the wall. The corners of the bathroom had some kind of black mold looking gunk growing in it. Carpets in the room were stained. Maid left the TV stand open (we didn't have it open, made me question if he/she was watching TV while in our room cleaning). They also charged us an additional resort fee on top of the price listed on Hotels.com so that costed us extra, which was not disclosed until check out. Definately not willing to stay here. This was quite possibly one of the worst bookings I've ever had. Læs mere

We picked this place for a one night stay before we checked into our Disney resort When we got there, we were told that there was an additional $19.07 charge for the resort fee (which I expected) plus the taxes that Hotels.com could not collect. When I showed the person our receipt that read paid in full, she said there were still additional taxes which […] only the hotel could collect. Ironically, the next morning when we check out, the person at the desk said there was the $10.11 resort fee which we would have to pay. I told him what had happened the night before, and he said no, just the $10.11. Only the $10.11 showed up on my credit card, but they sure didn't know what they were doing there. The room was indeed spacious, but was in need of maintenance. The little refrigerator was sitting on the floor, and rocked everytime we opened the door. Not sure it would actually work all night, we opted to leave our things in our little ice chest. The lighting in the bathroom looked 20 years old. My husband did enjoy soaking in the large bathtub. When we turned down the sheets to go to bed, we found a live bug crawling around in it. We got rid of it, then checked every nook & cranny of the bedding to be sure there were no more. Of course by now it was late, and we assumed there was no housekeeping services available to change our bedding. I did report it to the front desk upon check out, and their only response was "Oh my." No apology, nothing. Needless to say, the next time we want to save ourselves the early morning drive to Disney, we'll be staying somewhere else. Læs mere

Good.. the rooms are big, plenty of space... close to attractions, very good for the price... The staff was very nice Bad... mattress was very uncomfortable, in the room did not look at the website, also no microwave and a fridge

this hotel is in bad condition , the phone didn't work, the beds were hard as a rock, everything was in bad conditon. Long line to check in, gave me wrong room at first (king bed instead of 2 beds). Housekeeping screamed repeatedly at us at 9:00am . difficult to sleep due to noise echoing from the lobby , and they added on a $10 "resort" fee

We booked this hotel based on the description. We needed 2 queen beds. When we arrived at the hotel, there were no queen beds and were told by hotle staff that the hotel doesn't have queen beds. The staff was rude and not accommodating at all. They proceeded to charge us for a roll away bed. Overall the room was clean.

I needed a hotel in the area after going to some games at the Wide World of Sports. Location was good. It's not the Ritz, but it wasn't a flea bag motel either. The A/C unit dripped a bit and we were by the elevator so it was a little noisey. Over all, not a bad night stay. Looked like the rooms had been redone as well as bathroom which was good. Their service was excellent even before I arrived. I was driving down from VA and was going to arrive between 11am-noon, original check-in time is after 4pm! In any case, they were very friendly and said I could check in early if clean room available. Check in was a breeze, and our room was clean, and the view of the front of the hotel fantastic. This hotel used to be a Radisson, but now is dirty with horrible service and with food quality worst than a gas stations. I was lucky I only had to stay one night. I will never return to this place and would never recommend this place to anyone.

The hotel was really clean,pools were nice and clean.the only thing I don't liked was the charge a extra 10 dollars for maintain the pools cleans and buses for disney and universal studios even if you don't use those services.But overall really nice hotel for the price

The hotel definitely did not look as good in the pictures, but it was not bad by any means. The room was clean, but the floors were tiled instead of carpeted, which did not make it feel as luxurious. The restaurant had delicious food and friendly staff. The convenience store located within the hotel had tons of beauty products and snacks, which was […] a great resource. The hot tub was HOT and AWESOME, open 24 hours a day! Overall, the hotel was good, not great. If you are looking to be close to Disney for a good price then you are in luck! Læs mere

We came for a last min night out an Disney the next day an for the price and location I will defiantly be returning, hopefully this weekend :-)
