This hotel doesn't deserve 4 stars. I'm not even sure if it would qualify for a full 3 star! - Free underground parking (good) but there's rubbish, bins etc everywhere in the underground parking. This was our first impression. - Only one lift, needs at least two - Reception didn't look professional. It was messy and again didn't reflect a 4 star hotel […] by far. - Room was a good size, but furniture was outdated. The windows were set very high so you can barely look outside. - There's a club or bar in the same building and there was loud music until at least 2am, keeping us awake - Room was next to busy road and again, lots of traffic noise coming from there (even with windows closed) - There was a door linking us to the neighbouring room. There was no noise insulation whatsoever. When they got up at 6am it was like they were in the room with us. I could understand every word they were saying. - Bathroom is nice size and very clean. - TV channels were a disaster and the quality of them I'm still in shock that this hotel has a 4 star rating. If it had been a 3star and cheaper I would have expected what I've got. I would never go back there. Læs mere

This is not my first stay at the Plaza Hotel in Tallaght. The hotel offers a good service and a very nice room. The value for money is good as you are not paying Centre city prices but you must allow for the fact that this hotel is very much in West Dublin not centre city. Overall great rooms with everything you could want and free no password wifi! […] The rooms are of a good size and nice and warm on a very cold night. Tallaght is well served with public transport but you are going to find the walk to the LUAS (Tram) a bit of a journey if you have luggage with you! Buses are nearby but you might need advice as to which one to get and where! I used my own car and the free parking is nice for a hotel in Dublin. There are two car parks, overground around the hotel and underground beneath the hotel. Both very handy. If you use the overground one park at the front of the hotel for the free parking. As it was winter and I had an early start I parked underground and the car was nice and warm in the morning! You can enter and exit the undergound carpark 24 hours but the gates to the undergound carpark are closed at 10pm and you need to press the buzzer to enter and exit. The problem is that unless you have stayed before you won't be looking out for the buzzer until you come to the gate by which stage you have passed the buzzer which is located about 20 meters before the gate. But allowing for that, it is nice to have lift access directly from the underground carpark to the lobby / reception. Remember that you have most likely parked on the level -1 not -2 when you are returning to your car. The hotel is located across the road from the local Garda (police) station and the -2 level seems to full of their cars! Didn't try the food / breakfast so I can't comment on that. This hotel was a replacement with assistance from Hotel.com after the original hotel choice(the Maldron) closed for christmas without telling me I only found out when I called them with another query. There were some short comings with a very limited service but the Guy on duty Ali certainly made up for this with his very friendly approach. i thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the plaza and would recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant night or two. The staff were very friendly and the rooms were modern and clean. The restaurant serves good food at a reasonable price and it's close to a lot of other interesting sites and areas.

We stayed there for one night. Twin room was adequet, basic, no extra comfort but price was fine. Room was very clean and the beds very comfortable. However, due to the location of the hotel, the traffic outside was extremley loud all night long which disturbed our sleep.

Clean, good service, good value for money. good location if having a car. complaints about the noise of the night club. maybe not a problem if the room is in the other end of the house. non-smoking room was smelling for smoke.nice pub in downstairs with excellent service. food portion were huge.
