Små værelser men flotte badeværelser. Godt hotel til prisen. Vi valgte 5 dage her mod 3 dage i mid town . Godt valg. Mange restauranter og cafeterier rund om hjørnet. Få minutter til linie 1-2-3. Line 2 og 3- kører expres til Time SQ på 7 minutter. Kan anbefales.

Fedt hotel, til den pris! Dejlig tæt på Times suares og central park. Der er pænt, rent og alletiders service! Det eneste minus er at de er dyre med deres internet!

Vi synes, at - det egentlig pæne badeværelese - burde have nogle knage til de mange håndklæder. Vi var tre i værelset - og hvor skulle vi hænge håndklæderne? Der var en dobbelt knag på døren, men det ville være godt med flere knage. Når man har pakket sæbestykket ud, hvor kan man så lægge det? Så synes vi for øvrigt, at det er unødvendigt at skifte håndklæder og dynebetræk hver dag. Spild af resurcer!

"Pan American in Queens"
The room is generally clean although the place is a little old. It's about 5 min away from the closest metro station. And 10 min from a shopping mall. The staff is helpful. They offered free pick up from airport to hotel (although i didn't successful get that after waiting almost 2 hours) and a $10 shuttle return to airport. Wifi was $7 per day. "The the price point and free parking"
I stay here for the free parking and the price. The subway is walking distance away but during late night weekends the subway does repairs ands does not allow for an easy return. From time square 42 Take the 7 to 74th B-Way walk down to the local train which could even be an E and go 2 stops to Grand Ave/Newton. You can't beat the free parking though […] at this hotel. Very convenient if you have to do bussiness in the area. You could see areas of improvement but generally very convenient and useful, satisfies all the basic needs you want in a hotel.

"Pretty Grungy!"
The proximity of this hotel to the subway was greatly understated by Hotel.com. The hotel itself was grungy and pretty dirty. Hallways were NOISY!! The rooms were run down, and needed a LOT OF ROUTINE MAINTENANCE. It took about 4 phone calls to get a lamp fixed and there were never enough towels. ATM broken and the atmosphere in the lobby was SCARY!! […] Lots of "locals" posturing and handling big handfuls of cash. Restauarant was adequate.. hard to get coffee. This hotel is no more than a 2 star. It is on a busy street. If you have a room in the front of the hotel, it is very noisy all night long,.

My original reservation was for two double beds yet when I got to the hotel they assigned me to a room with one double. After seeing to the room, I went back to the front desk to ask to be switched to a room with two double beds. They did not have any with the exception of a room with a queen bed. "Pan American hotel in Queens NY"
Although the hotel is a little old and tired, it was clean. Close to subway for access to all the tourist sights in manhattan and plenty of food options in and around the local area. Shopping centers and laundromat nearby or short subway and/or bus ride away. They also have a scheduled shuttle to JFK and La Guardia airports, very convenient.
"Wonderful stay"
This a very laid back ghotel and although a bt old and run down. Front desk staff will try their best to help you even allowing early check-in or late check-out if needed.

Very spacioius rooms make this hotel different from any other in NYC. rooms have a small fridge and the restaurant downstairs is not bad.

"Great front desk service"
Upon checking in, I was able to check in early. It was a blesing after a long flight overnight with no sleep. Rooms are large and comfortable, two queen size beds! Can't go wrong.
"Old rooms"
The look of this room is way too old. It is obvious that the structure has not been renovated since the 1960s and it shows. The worst part is the bathroom. The soap is so tiny it will dissolve in your hand, bring your own soap bar. Rooms look dusty. Not bad for just a night.

This hotel needs to be renovated and the restaurant needs new management . It can be so much better, I used to be in the hotel business for 5 years, so I know.
"Wait for more then 2 hours for hotel shuttle"
Dec 1, 2011 1. 2:25pm: Call hotel for shuttle bus. Hotel told us shuttle not avbl untill 4:00pm because the traffic. Meeting point is passanger pick up A (gate 8 of JFK) 2. 3:26pm: Call hotel again to make sure the shuttle will come. Hotel told us the shuttle will be at airport about 4:20pm because they are short of drivers(the true reason). 3. 4:37pm: […] Standing outside for over 45 min(cold and windy), the shuttle came but didn't stop. We were dragging luggages and chasing the shuttle. I called hotel again, asked the shuttle turn back. 4. 4:45pm: the shuttle finally back but didn't stop meeting point A. I finally stopped it and got on shuttle. Driver told us the bus won't stop passanger pick up A. Should be stop at passanger pick up C. 5. 5:25pm: check in hotel and they gave us free ride to LGA next day. This is the hotel with terriable service and didn't consider that customers after long day fly still have to wait over 2 hours for hotel shuttle. Told us wrong meeting point and lie us about the traffic. Hotels.com need verify that this hotel does not offer free shuttles for both JFK or LGA. They offer one way free but charge another way. That's fine, but Hotels.com should list and let cliennts know, so we can make choice based on your description. The hotel is very old and dirty. JFK has numerous different terminals and while our pickup generally run from 15-45 minutes, we regret that your wait was longer due to the mixup regarding the waiting area. Please also be assured that our staff would not willfully misrepresent reasons for delay (i.e traffic etc) as we make hundreds of pickups each week with few if any issues. In addition, the airport return fee is clearly described on hotels.com's listing and we are sorry you did not note it accurately. WE like this hotel but this time the room was not as clean as it should be and the bed was hard, not comfy. My daughter stayed it a separate room and her bathroom was not clean but otherwise OK. We stay here often and enjoy the hotel and the easy walk to the subway. We will continue to use this hotel.
"RUN AWAY AS QUICKLY AS YOU CAN!!!"
This place was scary. A true fleabag. Room was dirty, bedspread looked like it was from the 60's and the air conditioning was shut off in the autumn even though it was still warm outside. Surrounding area is very desolate and scary at night. The lobby looked like exactly what you would expect in a fleabag hotel. Run away from this place!
We regret that your experience at our property did not meet expectations. The report, though, is somewhat harsh considering that the hotel has accommodated over 60,000 new arrivals this year and maintain a 3.5 Star Guest Satisfaction Rating on this website. Our Lobby has been recently renovated and features Free-to-Guest private Internet workstations, early morning coffee pantry and community table for wireless internet users. Likewise, the local neighborhood is a middle class residential/commercial mix with 3 schools, 2 shopping centers and an enormous variety of restaurants all within a short walking distance.

"Nice but..."
It was better than staying at a cheap motel. However, you have to consider the fact that it is right on the boulevard and over a restaurant/lounge. There was lots of street noise and people from the lounge hanging outside. Also, the walls were thin. I could not sleep just listening to the people on both sides of me. "Pan American very convenient"
It is an older property but between the airport shuttle, close inexpensive breakfast places, and proximity to the train stop I would definately stay there again!
Price was ok, sheets was not changed just bed re-made. parking ok, next time will bring own sheets.

The hotel is in a great location in queens to get to shopping and Manhattan - BUT THAT'S IT! The room is old and small, but clean. Needed to open the windows to cool down the room. The beds were too small - smaller than full size. My sons feet were hanging off the bed. Next Thanksgiving I am looking for a better hotel - even if its in a two fare zone. […] Just not worth it. Dated hotel with friendly staff.Clean and OK rooms but the traffic on Queens Blvd sounded like it went between our beds...very noisy A bit off but good communications to Manhattan. You are att Times Square within 30 minutes via subway. Buy the MetroCard!!! I stay at the Pan American Hotel every trip I make to New York City. They pick me and my luggage up at the airport and for a small fee they take me back to the airport. The hotel has a "A" rated restaurant called Dukes, Pan American is a short 4 block walk to the Grand Avenue Subway Station and a 8 block walk to shopping malls in Elmhurst. There is […] free wi fi in the lobby and the rooms are comfortable and clean. I have been staying at the Pan American for the past 4 years and will continue. "Very satisfied"
This is a great place to stay when you are traveling in a tight budget. The location is good, only 20 minutes of Manhattan. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the food in the restaurant is good and prices are affordable, Friday and Saturday the restaurant becomes to be discotect and the music is great so if you still have […] energy after walking in the city you can snick there for a good time and some Latin dancing. "Horrible service"
This hotel is extremely tacky. Housekeeping is loud, start vacuumuming the hallway around 8 am. Front desk service is just awful, cannot control the temeprature of the room. Considering its price, I exoected a bit more -- and didn't get it.
Please accept our apologies for any disturbances you note regarding hallway maintenance and vacuuming. Likewise, we do receive numerous complimentary comments regarding the Guest Service provided by our Front Desk staff. Most of these personnel have been employed for many years (two men over 30 years) and they maintain close contact with our guests. We have received a 4 Star Guest Satisfaction Rating on a trip advisor review website and we regret that your experience was not like those enjoyed by the vast majority of our customers.

This hotel is older and nothing fancy, but it's absolutely acceptable. The room was clean and there was free parking on site. The only problem was that the air conditioning didn't work but wasn't an issue because it wasn't a warm evening. We opened a window and that was fine. i loved the location of the hotel, very easy walk to subway and with free parking makes it easy to leave behind all that city driving. the only thing i didn't like was my bed. I just wasn't that comfortable but that could have been me more then the bed. overall its a great place to stay in nyc
I like the fact that this circa 1950's hotel doesn't hide it's age. The older rooms are much larger than today's "squeeze-you-in-per-square-inch".
