Needs an update, rooms on lower east are too close to the bar terrace and are very noisy late into the night. Try to get something above the 4th floor. $10 cover charge to get into hotel bar! Ridiculous! It's also a middle age pickup bar, so you can imagine the crowd. Overall the location is excellent, the staff was competent and I would stay here again, […] but would be wary of the rooms above the bar terrace. Breakfast was terrible. I thought the room was clean and staff were friendly. There were no towels in the gym, and the television in the gym had poor reception. The hotel was full of teenage girls (I assume for a tournament) who were very loud until 11pm. There was a lot of noise after 11pm as well. Friendly staff get you into your room quick. Nice facilities and great view of the lake from your room. Great location if you wanna see what downtown has to offer and a awesome walkway along the lake just to the right of the hotel!

Had meeting in boardrooms in the hotel, all well kept, good service. Only issue was suite's bathroom ceiling had peeling paint and ice maker hardly working.

We had to ask for another room due to the fact that ours stunk of smoke. Our second room was far better. I can't say that our stay was terrible but I did expect far better room conditions for the price I paid. I would recommend the hotel for a convenient place to stay but not for a romantic getaway.

Elevators could be upgraded kinda scarey the sounds it made and we could hear them in our room. Breakfast buffet was ok, would have liked to see some fruit on it, the food hotter, and maybe some names on the food. We thought one thing was potatoes/hashbrown but it was sausage we think. The carpets were old and soiled, the bed felt like a rock, the staff was not able to answer questions or fix issues. The phone was so dirtl you have to hit the plunger a few times to get it to unstick. This is a party hotel and gets treated like one. Great location on the shores of Lake Ontario. The hotel was clean & comfortable with very good restaurant. Free breakfast was disappointing - disposable cups, plates and cutlery and only basic food (Toast, Muffins, Cereal and Eggs & sausages, but the first morning the eggs & sausages were not even warm - someone had forgotten to turn on the heating […] trays or had turned them off an hour before the end of the breakfast period. Front desk staff were friendly when approached, but NEVER said "Good Morning" or "Good Evening" when we returned to the hotel. We attended a pre-wedding function on our 2nd night at the hotel and I must say that they did a fantastic job with both the food & drinks on that occasion. Included breakfast offered only white bread for toast, and eggs at first glance looked like pancakes. Even when you tasted them, it was hard to tell. So Breakfast was second rate. Everything else was first rate.

Noisy room (wedding in the hotel,overlooking outside bar). Breakfast was substandard for food quality and presentation. No syrup for waffles. Your kitchen could have made a decent breakfast. One of the two elevators was broken and not fixed.

Enjoyed the gorgeous setting, even though there is presently construction on the peer. Loved eating outside on the terrace. We have only 2 suggestions-- new carpets needed in the hallways and improved breakfast--more fresh fruit. Otherwise it is a fabulous spot.

The location of this hotel, right on Lake Ontario is wonderful. The bar/restaurant has an outdoor deck overlooking the lake. Sure the wallpaper is curling in a few spots but the room was lovely and clean, staff are great and that more than makes up for the hotel perhaps showing it's age.

Location is amazing, especially for the price. Staff was very friendly, free breakfast and web which is great. Upkeep of the hotel has been limited, renovations needed, but it is still very clean

We stayed at a cheaper hotel in the same chain and were disappointed that this hotel's shower and breakfast was not as good as the previous hotel we stayed in. The hotel has a good location - quiet. The staff were very nice and helpful and the hotel was very clean and comfortable.

My wife and daughter stayed for 4 nights, The hotel was in a very pleasant location, and opposite the bus terminus. It had views of lake Ontario but through the number 10 bus, was only 15 mins. away from the Niagra falls bus and the Union Station Toronto train. Hotel is tired but clean. We were given a room on second floor overlooking roof of restaurant below. Air conditioner was very loud. Drain in tub/shower was significantly clogged - tub filled as you showered. Location was convenient to where we needed to be, but otherwise it had nothing to offer. Thought the hotel was rather overpriced. We were members of a large wedding party but were not given any reduced price for a group booking. We also went to stay in a modern waterfront hotel in Toronto which was considerably cheaper and much less dated looking than The Waterfront. There were also several more facilities.Thought the decor could do with […] an update.....the carpets were all rather stained and very worn looking. We booked off approximately 20 rooms for our wedding night, for guests from out of town. Some came from Europe, and they were very happy with the location. It's right on the water, has a pub on the main level overlooking the lake, and is RIGHT downtown Burlington - loads of cafes, restaurants, and little speciality stores to keep each guest entertained. […] Staff was accommodating and welcoming. I had read reviews and was a bit worried about going there, however, we wanted to visit the country festival which was in Spencer Park right next to it. On arrival the girl let us chose from 2 different rooms to see which view we would like, we had to ask first. I needed more hangers she came up very quickly. Staff spoke each time you passed most pleasant. […] A/C was good, the beds were good. Tea and coffee machine nice tv. It was a bit dark but we were not in the room that much, nice big bathroom and seemed very clean. The toilet was placed under the work top which I thought was strange because you hit your bag on it when you sat down. I don't think they hoovered the room or the hall in the 6 days that we were there. They only changed the bed sheets if you requested it. I didn't request it as I don't change my own bed sheets every six days. There was a safe for 2 dollars per night which I would recommend. The only thing I missed was somewhere to sit outside with a sun lounger and pool. There is an indoor pool but it was so hot you wouldn't use it. The breakfast was pretty poor. Sausages and omlett every morning, cold tea and hard waffles. The toaster took for ever and a day to work, most people couldn't work it. The orange juice and apple juice was not very good. Had much better breakfasts in other hotels. You would get fed up pretty quickly and go elsewhere for breakfast if you are fussy. However, the staff were nice and I would defo recommend it, as it wasn't horrendous. Læs mere

Overall we were very happy with our stay We arrived late at night so we just went to bed soon after arriving but it was very quiet for a Saturday night especially considering there were 2 Wedding parties at the hotel The AM breakfast buffet was good and staff was very helpful and friendly I would recommend it !

My stay at the Waterfront was good. The staff were friendly, check in and check out were quick and the rooms were homey and warm with a lovely lake view. The only downside was paying for the "executive" suite, and having a door labelled "mini fridge," opening it and their being nothing inside. After paying the top dollar to stay in just Burlington, […] I thought it would enclude such as it stated in the description. Overall it was satisfactory. We asked about the birds that appeared to live in the overhead cover but the desk clerk didn't know and didn't seem at all curious. We also asked if the tv had closed captioning. We couldn't locate that option on the remote. The desk clerk said she was pretty sure it was available but did not follow up onit. Great spot, good hotel in the heart on downtown. Excellent restaurant right on the waterfront. If you like night life, look no further, the restaurant turns into a dance club after the dinner hours.

The hotel staff we're very friendly and efficient. We had no problems checking in or out. The room and bathroom were very clean and the bathroom was very large for the size of the hotel room. I found that no matter how long we ran our air conditioning the room always had a damp feeling to it. All the things in the room were clean and up-to-date, linens, […] etc. But you can tell it's an older hotel so the structure itself walls and finishings are old. If they could give the rooms the level of care that is focused on the lobby, etc. This would go a long way. Læs mere

We needed a place to stay before heading to our final destination; this was perfect! Very nice location with amenities to suit most needs - a pool was the perfect touch for the kids while the hot-tub was ideal for the adults. Great Hotel. Great location to park, waterfront pathway for biking or running. Patio was also a nice ammenity to lounge on in the evenings for drinks & food. Service was great.
