Vi var på vej videre så dette var blot et stop på vejen. Men Monterey er bestemt et besøg værd. Monterey Bay Travelodge er super til prisen, og fint til en enkelt overnatning.

Hvis man får et værelse ud mod gaden må man forvente en del støj, men ellers et aldeles udmærket hotel. Morgenmaden får man i en restaurant i stueetagen - ejes ikke af samme ejer - den "inkluderede" morgenmad er ikke noget at skrive hjem om - alternativt får man 25 % rabat på morgenmad fra menukortet - helt ok.
Gebyrer for ekstra opredninger kan forekomme og varierer afhængigt af hotelpolitikken.

"Basic Room for a Basic Price"
The hotel isn't in the best area but the room was surprisingly comfortable and clean.. it has all the basics a bed, tv, fridge, microwave ect... Because its off the freeway it was really noisy but it wasn't a bad hotel and I would stay there again if I was on a tight budget..

Most disgusting room i have ever stayed in. Wet floors, Mildew laden curtains, non working TV, bad internet, no lights, no alarm clock, no coffee pot, no breakfast- received free muffin only. and had to wait until 9:30 for the manager to wake up to receive it, heater did not work! Every commercial establishment in the immeadiate area had bars on the […] windows and doors even Taco Bell! Decided to cancel this hotel and book elsewhere. "Good for the Price"
The people working there were nice and helpful. The room was tight to get around in but it was clean and we had a good quiet stay. Not all the lights in the room worked so we had to do a bit of feeling around to find a functional light when we came in at night. The WIFI was incredibly slow and kept kicking us off so that we had to sign in again and […] wait forever for it to work - again. The grounds and the surrounding area were uninteresting but Old Town Salinas was just a short drive away. A continental breakfast was available but not until 8 am so we missed it as we had to be on the road early, but there was a coffee maker in the room. "Next highway"
When I got there I could it was not very good. The TV was huge but all out of whack. I spent 35 minutes and got it working well. The freeway was extremely noisy, suggest you not stay on the south end where they put me. This hotel was barely, and they should spend a bit more on the hotel and less on advertising. Not worth the money.

This hotel is very well maintained. The room was very clean. A bit noisy on the back side. Cable/ Satellite large TV. Friendly staff. Way nicer than most budget hotels.

"Best Value Salinas"
My wife requested a change of rooms for health reasons and the manager (George) graciously accommodated her. The neighborhood is not the best but we had no problems whatsoever. Location is close to the freeway but noise was not bad. The price is right compared to similar places in Monterey.

We stayed at this hotel to save money to go to Rennsport at Laguna Seca. The staff were extremely kind and helpful and the room had everything we needed. There are no frills here, but do not take that to mean you won't have everything you need. There is a refrigerator in the room, a microwave, coffeepot, and hairdryer! Hotel was very clean and reasonably priced. The front desk clerk was helpful and check in and out was a easy convinent process. I would stay here again just for the cleanliness alone.

HOTEL REASONABLY CLEAN. THE FREEWAY TRAFFIC IS UNBEARBABLE AT NIGHT! I WOULD NOT STAY AGAIN OR RECOMMEND THIS MOTEL. THEIR SO-CALLED CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST IS STAID CEREAL, NO COFFEE, ETC... FRONT OFFICE STAFF NOT VERY FRIENDLY AND ENGLISH-SPEAKING LIMITED.

"Not satisfied"
The room is small and not well maintained. It's just by the highway and quite noisy. There was almost nothing to eat for breakfast. We chose it just because it was cheap. But we will not stay at this hotel again.

"Salinas"
Here's one where you get what you pay for. Basic amenities for a basic price. Nothing to write home about, nothing to complain about. Go here if the location is convenient for you, i.e. Laguna Seca is just down the road. Beaches are a little far but it's equidistant to Monterey and Santa Cruz beaches.
The hotel is surrounded by freeway on and off ramps, as well as the freeway. Can be noisy and not too scenic!

"Good Value"
Stayed here because all else was outrageous & scarce due to the car show weekend in Monterey Bay. This hotel was exactly what I expected for the money. No frills, but clean and adequate. They could put additional towels in the room.
"Not what I expected"
Paid too much for room. Was very disappointed. Had my secretary make the reservation. From now on I book my own rooms. The sound of the freeway was all I heard all night. If you are a business traveler I would recommend looking elsewhere. If you are a truck driver looking for for a quick shower and a place to park the rig, look no further.

This was our second stay at this motel. We chose to book it due to our previous positive experience. The place is not real fancy, nor does it have lots of amenities. But it is clean, comfortable, fairly roomy, and has a friendly staff. And it is very convenient to the freeway. I was kinda worried about the condition of the hotel (for the price) & the safety of the neighborhood when we 1st checked in. It was not bad at all. A little close to the freeway so if you are on that side cars is all you will hear. We simply turned the tv up a bit & couldn't hear it until bed time =/. Staff didn't want to bring an extra towel over […] when asked but it wasn't that big a deal to walk down to the office & get it. The hotel was clean & everything worked. Good deal when considering the cost of hotels in Monterey on a busy weekend. It was an easy 15 min drive to Canery Row & was great to be able to stop & rest for a decent price. "Good hotel i Salinas"
It is not a luxury hotel, but for the price it's fine. It's just a decent motel, close to the Laguna Seca track if you're going to the motorcycle races. We didn't eat their breakfast, because it was served too late (8 to 10 am) and on the last day I found out the coffee was absolutely terrible. anyway - you get what you pay for.

Although front desk staff was not rude, each one of them seemed to have just woken up from a very deep sleep. It seemed to take forever for me to check in because of this even though I was the only customer in the office. The continental breakfast was quite sparse so I didn't bother. The coffee pot was empty and nobody was around so I made my own from […] the supplies under the breakfast counter. The room, although a little run down, was good enough. The fire alarm was dangling from wires on the ceiling. The freeway is about 100 yards away which is great to get on the road quick, just don't be a light sleeper. "If it's your only choice, go ahead."
The front office staff is not very welcoming. The rooms are okay, but half of the cable channels are unavailable. Call the front office for an iron and ironing board, and they said there wasn't one available. The location is very convenient, but hardly makes up for the short comings.

No wifi available at the stay. Manager told me that I could use wifi at the lobby but it opens at 8am...

"Americas Best Value Inn in Salinas"
Hotel exterior has a nice appearance, the room interior design was rather old but clean. Very friendly and helpful staff. Location is convenient for access to 101, and there are some shops and restaurants nearby but not close to the town center. Very good value for money and would definitely repeat or recommend for a stay near Salinas.
some mold in the bathroom above shower, person on duty told me it was my responsibility to contact THEIR internet service because of weak signal. Only good thing was location in regards to were i needed to be.
Great value for the price. The room was small but very comfortable and clean. Perfect for a one night stop over and visit to Monterey. I loved the fresh smell as I entered and the linens smelled fresh. I live in a quiet neighborhood so the freeway noise was loud for me. I was glad to have earplugs. "Basic room, no frills"
If finding yourself going through Salinas and needing a basic room with no frills then this is the place. Owner/manager very nice and gave us many extra pillows to help with handicapped traveler be more comfortable in bed. Alas, bathroom was not very handicap accessible but we did have a downstairs room.
