Godt hotel i udkanten af Washington, hvor jeg opnåede en yderst favorabel pris ved at booke mig ind en uges tid før ankomsten. 20 min. gang fra en ende-metrostation, men der er shuttle til og fra hotellet, og ellers koster en taxa fra stationen til hotellet mindre end 5 dollars. Ingen morgenmadsservice på hotellet, men der er køleskab, kaffemaskine […] og mikroovn på værelset. Lige overfor hotellet ligger et mexikansk lavprissupermarked, hvor man kan købe alverdens madvarer. God aftensmad kan fås i hotellets restaurant, og betjeningen var fin, da man først var kommet igennem de indledende manøvrer med fravær af personale og nogle personalemedlemmer, der ikke talte ret meget engelsk (!) Jeg planlægger at vende tilbage til hotellet på et senere tidspunkt, da det er et komfortabelt og prisbilligt alternativ til andre overnatningsmuligheder tættere på centrum. Det kan også let nås med tog fra Baltimore, hvis man flyver ind til lufthavnen der. Læs mere

I arrived late so they gave away the room I had reserved with a King and were going to put me in 2 Doubles. Not a big deal to me but some people might be upset. However they decided to upgrade me to a junior Suite with a King bed. That was a nice surprise. However, Upon getting ready for my meetings in the morning the shower had no warm water, helped […] to wake me up I suppose. Then I went to grab the iron and Ironing board and there was no Ironing board so I put a towel on the desk to Iron. They were able to get me one for the second day I was staying there though. Not knowing anything about tbe DC area we definitely wanted a hotel with shuttle service to the Metro. A shuttle schedule was provided and the times were stricitly adhered to. The hotel staff was friendly, professional and very helpful. There weren't that many restauramts close by but the pizza place Manny & Olgas in the same area was convenient and […] very good. Arriving at the hotel, the exterior barely matches the web site photo. The sign had missing and broken letters and the place looked run down. Somebody was also getting arrested in the driveway. Bad 1st impression! Entering the lobby, however, you can see where the renovations have taken place. The lobby was clean, contemporary and attractive. Stepping […] off the elevator to our room, however, water was steadily dripping from the ceiling and the area smelled musty. Our room smelled musty as well and the bed creaked mightily. We went to the Front Desk and told them about our findings. The Front Desk agent was as nice as she could be and gave us a different room on a different floor. The 2nd room was leak, smell and creaky bed free. The decor again contemporary and attractive. The bathroom was enormous, however only had a single vanity sink. Lots of wasted space. The TV was a new LCD, but all the programming was SD. No HD programming. The hotel offers free wireless Internet but despite a very strong signal the bandwidth was pitifully slow. Too slow to even surf web pages. Perhaps something simply needed to be reset on their end, but we didn't bother mentioning it to the staff. Overall, if you can get past the exterior aesthetic, this Metro Points hotel offers a good value especially when compared to the rates at similar nearby hotels. Bathroom was dirty and out dates. Cracked sink. Someone wrote "get put " in the mirror so when i showered it shows up in the steam. Our view was of a wall. During the night you could hear the traffic. So it was not restful and when people were leaving in he morning you got woken up again because the room are not sound proof. So much better than we expected for the price. The desk service was exceptionaly nice. I agree the mattress was a bit soft and we needed a reading light over the chair. Those aren't complaints just comments.Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.

We stayed here while visiting the DC/VA area. An older hotel, the current owners have made a nice attempt at "upgrading" with hard wood flooring, light fixtures, and modern furniture. But one can still see the little signs of wear and tear around the edges. Free parking. Free Breakfast consisted of egg, sausage, pancake/waffles, fried potatoes, yogurt, […] cereal, grits, fruit, and juice. The front desk and cleaning staff were excellent. My room was cleaned very well everyday. The shuttle bus, was nice. We had a rental car, but when others in our party wanted to sleep in, we took the car, and they would catch the hotel's shuttle to New Carrollton Station, and take the subway into town to meet us. The area is a typical Prince George County neighborhood. There is a grocery store across the street, which came in handy for running to get water and snacks. In the same parking lot of the hotel there is an Ihop, and a few other little mom and pop c\Chinese food and greasy spoon type eateries. The hotel is directly off the highway, which made it very easy for us to jump on and get into DC or Baltimore within a matter of minutes. The Metro Points is by no means a luxury 4 star hotel, but it gets the job done, at an affordable price, in such a high priced area, which made for a pleasant enough stay Læs mere

This was my second time staying and I loved it my only concern is the shuttle to and from the metro.....it was untimely you have to let them know in advance when you need it and the weekend bus was old compared to the weekdays...overall its a great place to stay

Good place to stay. The bar has a small selection of food, but the morning complimentary buffet is pretty good, now that they have meat! Only drawbacks are: 1. it over 30 minutes to get there from the District on Metro, 2. The shuttle is sometimes an issue if the regular driver is not there.

What the hotel looks like on the outside is NOT what it looks like on the inside. The staff was very accommodating to us. It was nice to have the breakfast and we only ate their once, but the breakfast was cold. Nothing worse than cold scrambled eggs. That is the only negative I have about our two-night stay.

Recently stayed overnight with my family. Very very nice staff. However, food was terrible - dinner was cafeteria like presentations and taste. Breakfast was over-heated and therefore was soggy and/or tasteless, but hey it was free. For the cost of the room it was a great. Just a couple issues in the room - first there are no hooks or areas to hang […] clothing in the bathroom, toilet had no pressure so you had to flush 4 or 5 times. I thoroughly enjoyed my recent stay at the Metro Points Hotel. It was a great value and conveniently located within walking distance of the last stop on the Orange Line. If you don't like to walk, don't worry, they will send a shuttle to pick you up. The staff was friendly. They checked me into my room several hours early without acting like it was […] a big deal. There are affordable restaurants in the area. They have a great happy hour and the hotel restaurant has very reasonable prices. Hotel was clean and pleasant, with cheerful and helpful staff and a well-equipped fitness room. There are no sit-down restaurants other than fast food within walking distance and I was advised not to walk at night. The hotel has a modest bar (no tonic for a G&T on the night I was there) and Happy Hour with food (potstickers the night I was there) and […] cut price drinks. The fish and chips I ordered form the menu was adequate - overcooked and chewy fish, and food-service fries. We found the staff very unprofessional and we were ignored at the desk for a long time by staff and management. The bathroom was in very rough shape, bathtub had large chipped areas and the sink top had a huge crack. The hallways in the hotel were in a need of a total paint and/or remodel as was the room.

Front desk attendants were very rude, I booked reservations on line. I had to wait until he check in over 30 people, it was just only me I was there first before they got off there bus. The room didn't have a microwave, refrigerator and the bottle of water in the room and it was not in the room. I was told that I had to pay extra for the refrigerator […] in the microwave. Neutral Hotel that provide you with basic things and convenient transient stay for one or two nights max. Not far from DC city center, but of course you gotta have a car to move freely.

The hotel is modern and classy looking but the neighborhood is not pedestrian friendly or visually appealing. I liked the room but didn't like that there was no refrigerator and/or microwave. The staff was accommodating and friendly.

Hotel was very nice, clean and in a secluded spot. Room was very clean, bed comfortable and in all it was a great stay. Would definitely stay at this Hotel again.
