God beliggenhed til aktiviteter i Dublin. Skulle måske gøre bedre opmærksom på hvordan man låses ind ved ankomst. Pæn størelse på lokaler og god vejledning ved henvenselse i receptionen. Kunne måske godt have tænkt på lydisolerende vinduer til gaden. Men det blev hurtigt en vane selv om vi kommer fra landet med rolige omgivelser. Kan godt anbefales til andre.

Fra første øjeblik vi trådte ud af taxaen foran hotellet blev vi mødt af fantastisk venlige og rare hotelfolk. Servicen var i top. Folk var utrolig rare. Beliggenheden er helt fantastisk. Området minder lidt om soho i london - bare med færre mennesker. Vi vender klart tilbage til westbury hotel...

Centralvarmen var defekt, men erstattet af en elektrisk radiator, som var lidt for lille. Værelset var temmelig koldt ved ankomsten, men efter en nat med fuld plus på den elektriske var rummet OK. Venligt personale og en hyggelig stemning med lokale folkemusikere fredag og lørdag aften. Stedet ligger fint i forhold til centrum og buslinier. Kan anbefales.

Det grønne Ballsbridge er et stille og eksklusivt beboelsesområde omkring 20-30 minutters gang fra byen (der er regelmæssig busforbindelse). Grand Canal løber gennem området, og selvom en del af denne vandvej er langt fra storslået, er der et behageligt område i nærheden af Richmond Street-broen med pubber ved kanalbredden. George Bernard Shaws fødested er en populær attraktion i området.

"Medspil hotel- ikke så langt fra bymidten, 20 min"
En god hotel ikke så langt fra bycentrum. Bus stoppestedet er tæt på, eller 20 min gårtur. Fine, store værelse, god seng, TV, te/kaffe kande og venlige personale. Men ingen køleskabet på værelset.
"fantastisk"
Det var et dejligt hotel, og det rummede det man havde brug for og mere til. Det var nemt at komme ind ntil centrum og hurtigt. Det var fantastisk rare mennesker og meget hjælpsomme.Morgenmaden var rigtig god, og der manglede ikke noget. Baren var hyggelig ja det var i det hele taget et pragtfuldt ophold.

"Rigtig godt hotel til rimelig pris"
Meget stort hotel, men receptionen er alligevel meget personlig og morgenmaden er fin. Med bussen lige rundt om hjørnet er man hurtigt inde i centrum, men har nattero. Især den lille thai restaurant på vej fra bussen kan anbefales.

Good hotel for the price (even though breakfast was NOT included and cost 8-10 euros). Rooms were nice and clean and the facilities were all in all worth the price. Center of Dublin is within walking distance (20min).

The hotel staff were all excellent, very professional but also friendly and helpful. The location is a little way from the town centre and Temple Bar but is within a few minutes walking distance of Baggot Street, which we found to be preferable to Temple Bar for pubs. Hotel had all i needed. Parking was my only problem, no spaced in their car park.. Location perfect, reception friendly.

"Very noisy in rooms"
Stayed during Bank Holiday Monday and Tuesday 2011. Was woken at 1am and again at 4.30am by people coming into rooms next door. The walls are very thin! Also workmen in room next door banging at 9.00 on Tuesday; what a thing to do with occupants asleep in room next door!

overall ok. the staff is friendly. the cleanliness is ok. location ok only as a bit far from public transport. however the drawback is that the housekeeping staff is not so pro in the sense that never refill the necessary toiletories for us.

We found the hotel not up to a standard of cleanliness. Someone had written in the dusk on the legs of the chairs in the room HELP. What does that tell you. We booked a triple room, yet had to ask for three towels. We stayed two nights and had to ask for an extra towel and tea cup again. The room had an unhealthy air quality probably becaused of the […] dust and our room was situated at the back so we heard the garbage pick up and noise of the parking lot all night and early in the morning. "Good Hotel for a Good Price"
Hotel located a little off the beaten track, but there within walking distance of downtown (about 20 minutes) and plenty of bus service. Good size rooms, wifi and computers in the lobby. Starbucks right next door and restaurants within a few minutes walk.

Very good, comfortable, staff at front desk were very helpful and welcoming. Great value and a quiet room - plumbing was a bit noisy but did not cause a problem sleeping.

Hotel staff were very helpful and full of information. We were given triple room when booked a twin, so it was nice and spacious.Beds very comfortable. Hotel further out of the main city than I'd thought. Would spend a bit more on a more central hotel if went to Dublin again, as spent a fair bit on getting busses(which will only take exact fare). I stayed at the Mespil Hotel in Dublin for 4 nights and was really impressed. It is hard to tell what you are going to get - booking online, but I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel room was great (clean and comfortable), the breakfast buffet was very satisfying and the staff were really helpful - especially Peter on the reception desk. He honestly […] helped us with our trip and all our queries more than he needed to. Being in a family room, it was a little annoying having to keep going to reception to request for more teabags, milk and an extra cup everyday, as the room wasn't stocked properly but other than that, the distance from the city centre was the only negative really. "The hotel is in a great spot - close to Aviva!"
The hotel is a very nice hotel, the staff are very accomadating. We arrived at 11am; due to check in for 2pm, we had arranged to leave the bags with the hotel, they gaves us a room at 11am. Very happy wth that. Unforunately the only negative i have with the room 516 is that it is situated right behind the elevator. My wife and i heard it only at night, […] in saying that we did sleep right through it as we were shattered from the dublin tours. I can only find one thing detremental durung my stay in the Mespil Hotel. A card suggesting ways of protecting the environment was in the room and one was leaving plastic bottles for recycling. On day prior to checking out bottles were left in room althgough they had been taken all other mornings and soap was not replaced in bathroom that same morning. Apart […] from this the stay was perfect and I would recommend the Mespil to anyone who is thinking of a stay in Dublin especially if going to the Aviva stadium or RDS as they are both within a 20 minute walk of the hotel. I booked this hotel at the very last minute and am very happy with my choice except for one thing : the hotel staff. My friend and I were badly welcomed by the receptionist who never made eye contact with either of us. She asked my friend (who had made the booking) to spell her surname 4 times as she could not see our booking which had been made half […] an hour before. I told her that the booking was probably still in the hotel's fax machine or inbox but she totally ignored me. The next day, I asked another receptionist if I could borrow a pen and I got it literally thrown at me! This was utterly rude! Apart from the rude and unprofessional staff, the hotel is well kept, the rooms are basics but clean which is what you would expect from a 3 star hotel.
