Handy to city and st kilda rd trams. Supermarket, chemist etc only a block away. Lots of lovely cafes, Two Doors Down (literally!) great food Banff pizza and Pelican tapas also good Pleasant staff, rooms getting a little tired but okay Cleanliness below average, cockroach type beetles in room and floors and windows very grotty Fitzroy st facing rooms […] nicer outlook but very noisy esp on lower levels overall would rate 3-4 Læs mere

I was very impressed with service that was given when we arrived with the help of one of the front desk people who had just finished a shift and offered to help with the bags. I wasn't to impressed with my Credit Card been swiped but not told that they would put a hold on a $100 which I was made aware of by my bank when I queried the amount. The w/e […] was extremely hot and I decided to sleep on the pull out sofa bed both the Sat. & Sun. night but the bed was broken and I was able to pull it out but couldn't get it back in so I had to sit on the floor until around 1.30pm until some one came to look at it. I found the room was very late in getting cleaned as well, probably about 2.30pm -3.00pm. Læs mere

The hotel is very near our daughter, and she recommended it. It's a short walk to the beach, lots of restaurants, Luna Park. The hotel fronts to the tram, giving access to anything you want to access. The room was clean, and had many amenities, including a patio where we enjoyed our breakfast

Enjoyable stay. Very convenient to restaurants and tram to the CBD.. We had 1 Bedroom apartment. Excellent for staying 5 days. Also had a bigger refrigerator with freezer compartment.!!! Staff were most obliging.

stayed two nights weekend prior to melbourne cup and was upgraded to a top floor "penthouse" apartment. we were also afforded an 11am checkout. i had stayed at the Medina in a standard one bedroom apartment prior but was in awe when upgraded with the 180 degree views adding to the splendour!

Very good hotel apartment, staff super helpful, near public transportations, coffee shops, bars, restaurants and the beach. Nice area, although being a bit noisy in the weekend, but thats because it is a very touristic night zone.

The apartment was of decent size, very comfortable for 2 people. Very modern design. There is kitchenette, which comes fully equipped. We had cooked simple breakfast, and even risotto for dinner and had a couple of friends over! If you into the nightlife, this apartment is perfect for you. Situated in St Kilda, just down the street there are many pubs […] and clubs you can visit. But not to worry, the area is not rowdy. There is a supermarket very nearby, about a few minutes walk. Tram stops are also a few minutes away, and the tram takes you into the city without having to change to other. Læs mere

The hotel was in walking distance to transport, restaurants & St Kilda Beach. The transport system in Melbourne is fabulous. The apartment was compact but had everything you need.

I picked this hotel because it was adjacent to a family members' unit and was delighted. Easy parking, large spacious rooms with excellent equipment for self catering. There is an excellent supermarket opposite. Easy access to city via light rail. Very helpful staff . Area is renowned for its restaurants in all price zones. Close to all the surrounds of St Kilda and the Elephant and Wheelborrow - great Kilkenny there. The room itself was fantastic with everything you need. My boyfriend and I had a fantastice time away. Would recommend for a little "city" get-away.

I rarely write reviews for places Ive stayed but after staying in the Medina I have been compelled to write a review. When I arrived in my one bed apartment I was shocked at the shoddyness of the rooms. Most of the lights didnt work, the veneer on the kitchen cupboard doors was hanging off, the fridge was dirty, the bathroom had lots of stray hairs, […] the lightshade was torn and dirty. For the price I expected more. The tvs in the rooms are in unslightly wooden boxes on the ground and the tv are old and some of the channels the reception wasnt clear. When I rang the reception to change room they suggest a handyman come up and fix the problems and that "he glue back the veneers" however after some insistance I was moved rooms to a slightly better room which did'nt have a spa bath which previous room had. One last point is that the housekeepers are extremely lazy and that the bed was thrown together everyday, sheets not properly tucked in, bathroom never cleaned, and one day I came back to find my room in extreme heat and found they had left a cooker hob on which melted some food left on the counter if a tea towel or something had been left directly on the hob a fire would of broke out. I would only recommend this hotel if you had a group of people staying and you got really cheap rates, but for the solo traveller looking for a bit of comfort keep searching. Læs mere

Wonderful setting right in the middle of busy Fitzroy street with plenty of restraunts & eateries to choose from. a wonderful stay, nice & quiet & room dark so we slept wonderfully. a great side of the city that we had never explored before. Will be back again.

Beds were comfortable and clean, but the room felt dirty and the fixtures and furniture had significant signs of wear and tear. Showerhead was nice, but the bathroom corners were grimy. Sink didn't drain very well.
