Hampton Inn Gaylord - Gaylord

The room was very nice. No bad odors. There was dust very visible on top of head board of bed and other horizontal surfaces, I could wipe it off and see it on my finger. Over all a very nice place, I would go there again.

Excellent

As an admittedly difficult person to satisfy who has extremely high expectations, this hotel more than exceeded my hopes and my expected standards.

Our family had a stop over on our way to ski. This hotel was perfect from the comfortable beds to wonderful breakfast including self made waffles to Oatmeal with almonds. The seating area was posh and roomy and the staff was beyond accomodating! We will use this hotel again!

usually this is a good place to stay but not when there are soccer teams in the hotel! Called the front desk but ultimately nothing was done about the loudness and noise - had a very difficult night sleeping

Very close to many restaraunts and WalMart is in the "backyard". Hotel was very clean. Only 2 complaints if you can call it that. The lobby smelled like a dirty diaper. Not sure what that was all about. There was no fridge in the room which for a 3 night stay was kind of inconvenient. Otherwise, great hotel, very nice indoor pool, nice staff and good […] breakfast. Overall good stay. Lobby and FREE BREAKFAST were great! Service was also very good. Only thing I would complain about is pillows were awful. I couldnt get a good nights sleep. The bathroon was in so so shape. The curtain rod was broke so the curtain would not close all the way. I would stay here again but I'd bring my own pillows.

this was a very clean and nice hotel. we will stay here again when we travel through northern michigan.

A little pricier than some of the competition, but worth it! Very nice and clean. They even wash their comforters! They also serve an actual breakfast, eggs and sausage, rather than cheap muffins and donuts. Nice pool too! Worth a few bucks extra.

A really convenient location our trip, right off the freeway. Friendly and helpful staff, made for a pleasant trip.

The room was really nice and the bed was so comfortable, everyone there was nice and easy to deal with. I was able to check in early which I was so happy with. The down side...not being from the area there wasnt any literature in the room about any attractions and such in the area,there wasnt a phone book anywhere in the room, there wasnt a refrigerator […] in the room as stated. Being on the ground floor, I was a lil shocked that the curtains didnt close for privacy. .over all I would stay there again just have to go a lil more prepared... Læs mere

I used this hotel when I went to the Boyne Mountain Ski Area, MI. This hotel is enough close to that ski area and much cheeper than the resort hotels adjacent to the ski area. Rooms and the indoor pool are nice and clean.

The hotel is well used but is clean enough and comfortable enough for a short stay.

This hotel was conveniently located, nice staff and close to restaurants, resorts and other towns. My disappointment was primarily with the condition of hotel especially the rooms which were run down, wallpaper peeling from bathroom, old heating unit and the breakfast area which wasn't kept clean. Part of the problem is the location right next to pool […] area. Guests were walking in and out of food area barefoot!!! So unsanitary!!! I am amazed this is allowed. They were out of orange juice the second day and other items not filled quickly so we waited. I understand the lobby it up for renovation but the rooms need it also. The good thing was the location and price. We got 2 rooms for the price of one at a resort and with 3 teenage boys were not too concerned about luxury. Læs mere

After unpacking our room and putting toiletries in bathroom we discovered that there was just one very small bar of soap at sink and no soap for showering the next morning. Called downstairs and was told someone would bring some up. Never happened. Breakfast the next morning was a disaster. Waited 20 minutes for coffee. Then waited 10 more minutes […] for milk for cereal. Trash was overflowing all over the floor from trash bucket. Waffle station was a huge mess with waffle batter all over. At check out wanted to pay with cash and was told we would have to take $8.00 in quarters because she had no $5.00's or $1.00 bills in till. Very disappointed. We chose to stay here instead of the Holiday Inn Express that we usually stay at. We will go back to Holiday Inn Express next time. Læs mere

The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The hotel location was very near the ski resort we were visiting and downtown Gaylord as well. The breakfast was ok if you were into carbohydrates, but the eggs were powered and the only fruit were apples. Very good breakfest buffet and a quick pick up before our Boyne ski trip. It is also right next to Bob Evans which has very good food.

Our stay was short so we didn't get to experience the complete hotel, but what we did was very nice. Great location and very clean ... The rooms were exceptional and like all Hampton Inns, the beds were very comfortable .. Breakfast in the morning was one of the better continental servings that we can remember .. Would definitely recommend this hotel […] for anyone headed to Northern Michigan and we will be staying there again in the future. Læs mere

This hotel is not bad, especially the free buffet breakfast. Good location, next to I-75 and shopping area close by. I could see myself staying there again!
