"Good Place to Stay - Delta Kitchener"
I was staying at the Delta for business. the hotel is great if you are looking for not too expensive options. Very close to downtown and I felt very safe as a woman in the area. Only thing I would improve upon is the menu in the restaurant. I ended up walking across the street to Crabby Joe's and the food was fantastic. The room smelled heavily of smoke. I guess they had just changed it to no smoking. Not bad enough to complain. Also the drain in the bathtub did not work. No big deal - the hotel was very central, clean and we had a nice meal and a couple of drinks in the lounge. I would go back.

We have been a non smoking hotel for several years and try to stop people from smoking in the hotel as much as possible. I hope that this wasn’t too much of an inconvenience as we would like to see you return to the property in the future.

My stay was very nice :) The room was big and clean and the fitness centre is huge. However, the hot tub was literally TOO hot for anyone to go in and nobody working there were able to turn it down, which I thought was an inconvenient system. Other than that though, it was great!!

Pros • Room had a bar fridge, microwave and coffee maker. • Beds are fairly plush and not bad to sleep on. • Close to shopping and restaurants • Nice thick walls and doors. Noise from activity in other rooms or hallway is very minimal. Cons • The TV was an old CRT model, not a flat screen. • An additional fee of $10.00 per night is charged for parking. • […] Toilets have no tanks. Ours had "run on". Even after we called to have it fixed it still did it after 3 flushes. Thankfully the doors are almost soundproof so closing the bathroom door blocked the sound at night. Læs mere

"Delta Kitchener needs to be updated"
Surprised at how run down this location was for a Delta hotel. Service was fine, rooms and hallways really need to be updated though. For the price it costs to stay here, I expected a lot more. Location is good, buy that's the only thing is has going for it

"Consistently Good"
It's not a 5-star hotel. But it's consistently good. I have been there 3 times in a month. I am always happy with the speed of checking, checkout and the smoothness of everything in between. It's a great hotel overall. It's what you would expect from a chain that keeps strict quality standards.

Conveniently located for my plans, but that's where the positives stop. The walls and doors are banged up, marked up, dented and worn. Just kind of shabby and tired looking. The rooms themselves, thankfully, are less run down, but too small to allow for anything but sleep, unfortunately. The queen beds have a an extremely thick covering on the mattresses, […] offering no support. I had one of the worst night's sleep ever, and my partner woke up with a sore back. Beds are strewn with 4 pillows, all of them too soft to offer support or prevent suffocation if you sleep on your stomach. Room rates were excessive for what you get. Receptionist was mechanical and worked mainly from a memorized script but did her job well enough. Won't be going back there. Læs mere

The room itself was fin but nothing that Wowed in anyway. The bathroom was very small and I thought the bathroom floor needed to be swept to get rid of the hair. The bed was very comfortable but I was disappointed that the hotel didn't have the Leaf game on the TV I would have paid for it if given the option. There was a noisy hockey team on our floor... players playing and running up & down the hallways - kids being kids. But it was at 11 pm! We informed the desk & the attendant offered to change our room to a different floor. No one wants […] to move to a different room at 11pm at night! a person from security came up resolved the issue. noise - stayed 2 consecutive Sat. nights this month (Nov.) and by 10:30pm there were still a number of kids running up and down the halls. I would not recommend it for Sat. night stay

We recently stayed at the Delta Kitchner and found the hotel to be very unsatisfying for a Delta reputation. We were awakened all night by music and loudness next door and upon complaining nothing was done , it finally stopped at 4am. Children ran about throughout the early am when they should have been i n bed asleep. We were not the only people that […] complained there was at least 2 other couples ahead of us upon check out. A 15% discount was given to us for our 2 night stay, which was a nice gesture, but our 2 night stay, was to be a romantic getaway for me and my husband, away from our won children, turned out to be a disaster. Close to everything. Expensive for the quality of the room. The coffee cups and spoon that I used one morning were not cleaned up and replaced when the room was made up at the end of the day.

The hotel was great. The staff were very friendly, but the noise at 3am was REALLY BAD.There should have been security on duty (giving that it was Oktoberfest). Breakfast the next morning was good, although should have been warmer.

The area is close to the Tannery district with its attempted rejuvenation but isn't close to very many restaurants within walking distance after dark. The hotel, while clean, needs a major face-lift. I did appreciate the comfortable bed and pillows!

We stayed in this hotel to attend a wedding. The facilities were excellent and the staff unfailingly friendly and competent. The beds were very comfy! We highly recommend this downtown hotel.

I enjoyed the stay, the room was very comfortable, and the staff were very attentive - I think they would have spoiled me if i had let them. The ONLY thing I found out of the ordinary was that I would have been required to pay $ 8.00 per night to park the car in the parking lot. I am used to parking in a hotel parking lot for free, however the hotel […] does not have sufficient parking so guests must park in a city owned and patroilled lot. I was fortunate to find alternative parking in the church parking lot where I was attending a conference - the lot was unsupervised - but it was free. Over all, I am exceptionally pleased. Læs mere

As for the parking we do charge for it since other public parking inthe area is also pay parking. The hotel was very nice, it was a great stay and a very convenient location. However the entrance to the hotel its self was busy and took a while to enter and held traffic up a bit

Our parking is currently undergoing some contruction and tht may have contributed to the delay but this is in no means permanent. Hopefully the next time you are in Kichener you will visit the Delta and see the changes that we have implemented.

This hotel was great. Really no complaints except for the fact that the decor on the room floors requires updating. also, the parking area is a little far away from the lobby and the rooms themselves. Really close to everything.

Mold on bathroom ceiling and tub. No power outlet near desk for my laptop. Battery died while I was connected to internet. I had to unplug from internet and power up next to the bed.
