Super skønt hotel, hvor servicen er i top. Der skal betales ekstra for morgenmad, internet m.m. Til gengæld bliver morgenmaden serveret på værelset, hvis man ønsker det. Hotellet er under renovering. Eneste gene var dog, at poolen ogsåmvar under renovering. Det betød dog, at vi slap for udgift til morgenmad m.m. Udgift til parkering Skal dog lægges oveni. Området er virkelig skønt, og hotellet ligger perfekt. Vi kunne absolut godt forestille os at komme tilbage igen. Her falder man i søvn og vågner op til bølge skvulp.

Vi blev opgraderet gratis til en suite, som var rigtig fin, ren og rummelig. Vi valgte stedet pga afstanden til Dinseyland, ellers ville vi ha boet tættere på centrum. Det eneste minus ved stedet var, at det gratis internet desværre ikke virkede i de 5 dage vi var der:( Resten var tip top.

Super billigt hotel der ligger i gå afstend fra conventioncenter og Disney. Hyggeligt men ikke highclass. lille ren pool. Flinkt og hjælpsomt personale. Rent værelse med badeværelse med kar og bruser som virkede, god seng, TV, bord, køleskab, mikroovn og kaffemaskine. Morgenmaden er donots, danish og kaffe til afhentning i reseptionen - nemt men kedeligt.

Et billigt hotel i Gå afstand fra Disney Land. Rent, lidt slidt. Særdeles venlig betjening. Morgenmad er ok. Men lidt rigeligt med kager. Man får hvad man betaler for. Kan anbefales hvis man har brug for en seng at sove i og ikke stiller store krav til comfort.

"Close to aour daughter's apartment"
The staff could not have been nicer! Everyone was smiling, polite and helpful. Even the night of the power outage (planned) room service helped us get food and the desk staff was very accomodating. "Near our destination for the evening"
Our room had some problems. The door to the outside, with a walkway, didn't lock and even after we notified the front desk, it was never tended to. There was a major wet spot in the area between the entry door and the bed area. The save wasn't big enough to put my camera in. The sheets were less than new. Sort of less than great for the price. "Great overall but one snafu"
I enjoyed my stay except for this. I was working out in the gym for about an hour and within that time, three different people asked me if I was staying at the hotel, and after I said yes, even asked to see my room key card. I was insulted. The hotel should make other arrangements to secure the gym's facilities if they are having issues. "Relax in Bayfront ambience"
I can't wait to return. I have friends in the area and it iis a great place from which to visit and tour the area. Valet service (which I did not use) was really on the ball. Front desk helpful. Food very good but expensive.

My daughter and I took a trip to for the day and night to Newport Beach. I found Balboa Bay Cub and Resort on the internet and read some reviews. It is very important for me to find a safe, comfortable, clean hotel when my daughter and I travel. This was the best by far. It met all my needs. We have done a lot of traveling and even though a hotel can […] be nice, you still feel like thousands of people have slept her before. Not at this resort. Very clean, comforable and feeling of safety. The room was equipt with an LG HD TV DVD player, refrigerator, separate shower and jacuzzi tub, robe and slippers, coffee maker, feather bed mattress topper, and extra blanket and pillows. Even the toiletries were wonderful. Not the moisture sucking, yucky smelling soap, shampoo and conditioner you normally get at a hotel. I actually wanted to use the mandarin body lotion even though I took my own. We had a courtyard view overlooking the olympic sized pool perfect for doing laps or just hanging out. The menu in the restaurant was a bit pricey but we were very happy with our breakfast, although I say again very pricey for breakfast. That is my only negative about this hotel. BBC has once again provided top of the line service and made our stay most enjoyable. The staff is genuinely friendly and does everything to make you feel at home. The rooms are cozy and gorgeous. This is the first review I have ever written and have been traveling for years. This property was amazing and the staff was extremely helpful and attentive. Every member of the Balboa Bay Club staff was exceptional. I highly recommend this hotel if you are in the Newport Beach area. I would definately go back!!

We enjoyed our stay there tremendously. The rooms are big, comfortable with modern design, large bathrooms, soft bed linens and towels. Centrally located and right on the water makes it a desirable place to stay. We definitely had a very relaxing and enjoyable weekend there and will come back!

"Good location, poor management"
We selected this hotel for the location -on the bay- and with the hope of having a high quality stay. We booked a Standard View room (no availability for other rooms). It's like sleeping on the highway. The room was right on the California #1 Highway, with motorbikes showing their muscles. Sound isolation almost non-existent. The room was an handicap […] access room (which we did not request or need), which lacked many of the expected facilities for a four diamond hotel. We asked to be moved, and after the first night we received a better room for the second night and a bay view room (very quiet and nice) for the third night. So, stay can be nice, if you are in the right room. We appreciated the willingness to move us, but we should not have had to go through this. Food quality to be desired. After a mis-understanding relating to an upgrade, the service, cleanliness/location etc are all superb. i would recommend this Hotel completely and I have to say as all was very very good. Staff were great and standards were above average.
"Some Stars but not based on price"
We have stayed an many 4 and 5 star hotels over the years. This is a 3.5 or 4 star not a 5 star as we had expected. For the price point we felt the total experience was just not up to par. Just a lot of little things that you really expect to be perfect at this price point.

It is located in a central area. Easy to drive to Balboa Island, The beaches and Fashion Island. Service could be less 'snooty!!' Valet nice, Registration not very helpful or welcoming. Just came from Hotel Del Coronado and their hotel was just wonderful and very welcoming.

If you're looking to spoil yourself in Newport Beach, CA, the Balboa Bay Club is a great place to do it. Feather-top beds, huge resort bathrooms and the kind of service you'd expect from a country-club sort of place. Plus, it's all right on Newport Bay.
An excellent choice - could easily be 5* staff could not do enough for us. Would definately go back again and not hesitate to recommend .

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for just an overnight getaway and it was fabulous. I had heard of Balboa Beach Club but never stayed there. It was MUCH nicer than I expected given that I got a deal thru hotels.com. The room was really nice with a fabulous bathroom. The resort's pool was heated & salt water, which was nice surprise.
