Hotellet helt fantastisk. Dejligt værelse, service helt exceptionel. Gratis internet, gratis parkering, gratis brug af fitness, spa, pool. Ingen ekstraudgifter. Eneste minus var, at Detroit downtown er - intet! Vi havde ikke planlagt et besøg i Detroit, men måtte blive her i 4 dage, da vores fly hjem blev aflyst. Og alt lader til at ske uden for centrum. Havde nogle dejlige dage takket være hotellet. Men Detroit kan ikke anbefales.

Better than expected for the price
Have stayed here befor and have found it to be a fairly pleasant experience.
I would say that the Hotel was very nice and accomidating. The staff was very friendly and was always concerned of how the conditions were at the Hotel. Thank You La Quinta for a pleasent experince and stay in Southgate MI.
"Beds not made"
We arrived to a room that I didn't think was vacuumed, the fridge handle and phone were dirty, the room was not dusted well and most importantly there were no Blankets or Comforters on our beds. The boy brought two to our room and left them for my 82 yr old mother to put on. One was a queen and the other a King size. The TV did not let us watch the […] local sports team(Red Wings) on Fox Sports Detroit. The good point was that the bathroom and sink were clean although there were no liners in either of the trash bins. If we weren't so tired we definitely would've left for another hotel. Læs mere

"Average Hotel in an Average Location"
Not too close, not too far from Detroit Downtown area. I travel a lot, and often require packages shipped to meet me at the hotel. However this hotel was not accommodating to this need. I had to pick up from a UPS shipping facility, which wasn't too far from the hotel, so this wasn't a huge hit to my rating. "Quick Business Trip"
This was a last minute booking for a business meeting in Dearborn. As always, La Quinta provides a good value. Room was comfortable and clean although the A/C (who would think you would need it in Detroit in Mid October) had a little difficulty in keeping the room cool. Breakfast was ample and staff was helpful & friendly.

The hotel was exactly what we needed for our short trip to the Detriot area. The room was clean and the bed was quite comfortable. The staff was very nice. This was a quality selection for both price and comfort.

My only problems with this hotel were that it was out dated, and I spoke to a staff member about adding a kitchen and microwave to my room which didn't happen. I ended up having to move to another room. Which was slightly inconvienient. Besides that my stay was ok.

This is a VERY average hotel. At the same time, it was quite adequate for my needs. However, in three nights there, my bed was never made! Apparently they don't clean after 12:00Noon. I put out my "Do not disturb" sign until almost noon, then left the hotel for several hours. I always returned to an uncleaned room. "Average hotel close to shopping"
We chose this hotel for the convenient location to shopping in the area. It's not a bad hotel, in fact the customer service was excellent, but it could definitely use some upgrades. "most bang for the buck"
Clean, quality lodging for the cheapest price in the neighborhood. Staff was very friendly and supportive. Nice complimentary breakfast includes hot waffles, muffins, danish, fruit, yogurt, etc. Would go back in a heartbeat.
"Hotel smelled like smoke"
The Hotel smelled like smoke. The lobby was non smoking and so was the room, but both stunck of smoke. It was convenient and for the price I guess what can you expect. They did have a complimentary breakfast which was okay.
"July stay"
The room I got after making my reservation on line was was not very good. I seems like to hotel gave me the worst room available. The carpet was dirty and pulling up from the floor. The bathroom floor was not very clean either. If this is the kind of room you get from making reservations on line with this web site, I will not use it again.

This hotel is well-located, clean, complete and an excellent value. We have used this unit three times the past four months and have never been disappoined.

Checkin was very short. The room was in good shape with a comfortable bed. Highest marks for the heating/cooling system.

I had a very nice stay here. Stayed for 2 nights. The room was very nice, employees very friendly and their continental breakfast had a lot of food options :) The hotel is right next to a couple of fast food places and a gas station next door, which was nice having all of that so close by. I will definitely stay here again

"Close to the Detroit Airport - Good Value"
Several of our family members stayed at La Quinta to attend a wedding in Southgate. Although we live on the East side of Detroit, only an hour from the reception hall, we decided it would be great to get an inxpensive hotel to stay the night. The wedding party booked the Comfort Suites next door, but we chose to stay at LaQuinta since the rate was lower […] in cost. The hotel was clean, comforatable, and good for what we needed, a place to sleep after the wedding. The hotel is right off the expressway and ws only miles from the Crystal Gardens reception hall. The serve-yourself breakfast in the morning was good. You could make your own waffles, oatmeal, cereal, bagels, toast, and muffins. I came from out of town and my parents were able to drop me off at the airport in the morning and it only took 10 minutes to get there. Læs mere

This La Quinta property was well maintained and apparently under very good management. It was clean and attractive inside and out. The service was prompt and friendly. Pleasant atmosphere. "Just right for the money"
Location and facilities were as expected. It is good service for the money. Breakfast was adequate to get you started for the day. Desk staff was very helpful. I would recommend this place if you are looking for a good location with price to visit the Henry Ford and Greenfield Village which is about 6 miles away.

Upon my arrival at the hotel, I was waiting behind another person in line and two other gentlemen walk up and barged ahead of me. The desk clerk politely told them that they would have to wait until she check us in before she would see to their needs. I was very happy that we were so close to the freeway and travel time into Detroit only took 10 minutes. The location off the Highway was great. The Rooms were very clean. The staff was very helpful and knew the area and best places to go to eat.
