Hyatt Regency Pier 66 - Fort Lauderdale

Pier 66 er et super-rart hotel! Det har en dejlig have med et stort og meget flot pool-område med opvarmerede pools. Vores børn på 5 og 6 år elskede det. Værelset var fint og stort, med en dejlig balkon ud mod pool-området. Eneste minus var parkeringen, der var meget dyr.

super dejligt sted, hyggelig have ned til havne, god betjenning, dejlige opvarmet svømming pool. det er et hotel vi kommer tilbage til.

We stayed at Hyatt Regency Pier 66 for 7 days end of august. We were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a nicer and larger room on the 13th floor upon checking in. The room was very nice, great swimming pools, free shuttle to the beach, the view was stunning and area safe, however, there were some small things that weren't that great e.g. the door […] to the closet was hangning at one side, both sinks in the bathroom were clogged, the pillows unconfortable and housekeeping was not as thorough as it should be. Parking costs 21$ pr. night and breakfast in the lobby 20$ pr. person. It would have been nice if breakfast was complimentary. Otherwise a nice stay and I would go back there again. Læs mere

The room wasn't cleaned properly and when we complained the didn't even apologise for that. They just send to bottles of water for the inconvenience which they charged us for afterwards. Besides that little issue the hotel is nice and pool area is great.

Vi skulle paa cruise fra Port Everglade, Fort Lauderdale, og det var let at komme dertil fra hotellet i taxi. Meget laekkert hotel med gode faciliteter.

Nem og ukompliceret indtjekning og rigtig venligt personale. Vi var der i 4.og july weekenden og hotellet var ret fyldt. Det kunne godt være svært at komme til i morgenbufféen, hvis man har købt det med. Til gengæld er der også mulighed for at for 15 usd at tage maden med, således at man får 2 beholdere som man så kan fylde op og derefter tage med […] sig. Dette er ret bekvemt hvis man som os gerne vil have morgenmaden ved poolen eller hvis man skal afsted tidligt om morgenen. Pool området et ganske stort med 3 pools. Der er rigeligt med liggestole og også mulighed for at leje private cabanas, fik dog ikke lige tjekket prisen på dette. Hotellet i sig selv er ganske fint, pænt og indbydende. Når man kommer op på gangen og i værelserne kan man dog godt se at det er af lidt ældre dato og lidt slidt, men er er rent og det er for mig det vigtigeste. Vi boede i et Tower-room og havde en stor fin altan med udsigt over marinaen og broen, hvilket var ganske fint. Der er skevet lidt om at det kunne være et problem på dette hotel når broen går op og man dermed skulle vente med at komme videre. Vi boede på dette hotel i 4 dage og havde ikke dette problem en eneste gang....og dette på en weekend hvor det vrimlede med både. Så det må vist enten nogle meget uheldige gæster eller også er problemet ikke så stort. Det eneste minus ved dette hotel er at det ikke rigtig er beliggende til noget i en kortere gå-afstand, det er ret irreterende....især som dansker. Læs mere

Terrible. As we would be arriving from a very long flight, at the time of booking I asked for high floor with possible ocean views in order to avoid unnecessary noise to obtain sleep. However we were allocated a 2nd floor room with garden views, loud hotel noise and an extremely loud airconditioning system in our room that had to be turned off in order […] to get some sleep. The hotel was nice for the price, until they charged $25 to park your car, and $40 for breakfast. Should have clearly stated that there was a parking fee, and that breakfast was additional. Even if you didn't want breakfast, they didn't even offer complementary coffee. They wanted $3.00 for that too. Would not stay at this hotel again.

We had a lovely stay. The view of the ocean was beautiful, the staff was very courteous and friendly.

Worst stay ever. Booked king size bed got double. Nothing to eat after 10pm cupboard in room broken. Charge $3 for a water bottle in room. Room service food was horrible and over priced. We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights after our cruise. Our room was located in the older part of this complex. We were on the second level and had a very nice view of the marina. The grounds, pool and front reception are very nice. The room we were assigned had tiny ants crawling all over the desk so they assigned us another room. One can see attempts […] to renovate the room. Cleaning staff should pay attention to cleaning edges and corners of the floor. The hem of the drapes were in need of repair. The bed was too soft. The air conditioning is very noisy . You can't turn it off because it would get too hot and stuffy. One would not feel safe leaving the patio doors open at night. There is a breakfast buffet of fresh made omlettes or scrambled egg, bacon , sausages, potato,oatmeal, yogart, fruit , muffins, cereal. The juice and coffee is included in the price. The hotel is within walking distance of the water taxi and public bus. There is no complimentary shuttle from the cruise port or to the airport. The cab fare for each location is about $15 to $20 . There is a shopping mall nearby which we discovered when we were leaving for the airport. Læs mere

Spent three nights in the hotel as a part of our 10 day family vacation in Florida. Our room was in the Tower and we have nothing to complain; the room was clean and up-to-date with in-room WiFi, Flat-screet TV (that we didn't use - there's so much more to do when you are on vacation) and fridge. Nice pool, sufficient outdoor parking with valet, decent […] breakfast available, etc. Although the location is good, you better have a car. The water bus has a stop at the hotel, but other than that it's either taxi or a rental. Only thing we were not happy with was the staff's activity on telling you the practical arragements related to hotel. They pretty much did not tell us anything about the available services or arragments unless we asked about them (WiFi, Pool use, Parking, Breakfast, etc.) Læs mere

We had a beautiful east facing view from our room in the tower that overlooked the canals, beaches and Port Everglades. It was a wonderful addition to our giant, comfy and very homy bed we enjoyed. All in all it was lovely. The only negative aspect was that it would have been nice to have a bigger bathtub. But, that didn't hinder our lovely experience […] at this hotel! Læs mere

THIS HOTEL WAS VERY CLEAN AND MODERN. THEY HAVE A FREE SHUTTLE TO THE AIRPORT AND OUR FLIGHT WAS CHANGED AT THE LAST MINUTE AND THE DRIVER TOOK US EARLIER SO WE COULD GET OUR PLANE. GOOD LOCATION AND A GREAT RESTAURANT WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE - ANTHONY'S SEAFOOD-GREAT!

Our view of the marina was blocked, we could only see a tiny bit of the marina. The revolving resturant was closed and that was the main reason I booked this hotel, The shams and curtains in the room had splash marks on them, but the bed were very comfortable. Most of the hotel rooms appear to be in an older part of the hotel, and not in the newer tall building they feature. Our room smelt a bit musty but the grounds were kept up nicely. It looks like this hotel does quite a volume of guests as it is fairly close to the cruise terminal. However, the hotel offers no shuttle service so we had to pay two taxi […] fares. Læs mere

Chose this hotel mainly due to it's proximity to Port Everglades, and the Hyatt Regency name. Got a great rate, but for the discount price we had a "lanai" room, which are in a motel-style building off to the side of the property and not in the main tower. But it was quiet, and we were able to use all the Hyatt amenities the next day before we left […] for our cruise ship. Was a bit disappointed that there is NOT a hotel shuttle to the port. We had just came off a cruise and booked this online before we arrived back in Fort Lauderdale. A stone throw from the Princess Cruise Pier and not far from the FLL Airport. Should have a shuttle. Really nice and clean rooms. The Pelican Pier was very good to eat at but not too much else around. A good price only gets you 2nd floor no elevator.

My boyfriend and I checked in for one night and as soon as we arrived the very happy receptionist told us that she could bump us up into a Tower suite. We had got an amazing deal already on our room and to be bumped up further was a great surprise. We had an amazingly big room, with two sizable double beds, a very spacious living area, balcony and very […] large bathroom. The only down side was the stand up shower, but a small barely noticeable factor. The overall decor and appearance of the hotel was wonderful! Not to mention that their pool is open 24hrs!!! I enjoyed looking at the yachts in the bay from my balcony. It was truly a pleasant experience! I will be back when I have more time to enjoy more of their amenities!! :))

I booked that Sunday for same day arrival but then they tell me they are "sold out"! They said I should have "called their hotel" which makes me wonder if that's why they gave me a filthy room (which I took photos of, so they switched us). The wait staff at the pool bar and lobby bar was not up to par. Service was slow or non-existent. The price paid was not indicative of the type of service that I am used to.

We chose this hotel because we were taking a cruise and the location was so close to the port. The grounds were beautiful. Enjoyed a nice lunch by the pool. We would stay here again.

The hotel itself is a bit old but they do a very nice job with what they have. The pool is great and they had good house lounge music playing during the weekends (when not raining). The lounge bar staff is really nice and the food was better than I expected. They have a sushi chef in the lobby who made some interesting and delicious creations. My wife and I were ending a cruise in Ft Lauderdale and spending 2 additional nights there. We chose the Hyatt Regency Pier 66 after reading some good reviews. Upon our early arrival, we were greeted by a friendly front desk person who was very accomodating. She confirmed the "package" we had booked online and when we informed her we were celebrating […] our 13 year anniversary, she gave us a complimentary upgrade. Our experience was very good. The bellmen were friendly, the concirege very informative and accomodating, and the premises very clean, quiet and nice. The only bad thing is their on site eateries were VERY expensive. Glad we had a meal voucher included in our 2 night stay!! We would recommend this place to others for sure. Læs mere

Customer service good. 1st room floor wet, but room was changes right away. Did not know about $20 extra charge for parking when booking. Otherwise nice stay.

I was offered a room at this motel for a very good rate and a very nice room with a balcony and looking at the ocean suppose to be very nice we got there and went to check in and apparently they didn't like the way we looked or something they put us over around back of the hotel that wasn't a part of the hotel had to walk forever to the room opened […] the door and the room was't fit for my dogs to stay in come on now this is the hyattt regancy the floor was broken up and dirt in the floor Læs mere

Room was very clean and bed was very comfortable and clean. Good choice for me to choose this hotel. It was very nice and closer to everything.Keep up good work. Also big Thank you to concierge Leo for help with faxing documents for my real estate agent. Thank you again. J & J Andrysek

The hotel is conveniently located for our most recent business trip; however, the lanai rooms are old and outdated. Stained carpets and I found 5 hairs in the tub upon arrival. We traveled with our pet (12 lb 10 year old miniature pinscher that we adopted from a rescue organization 2 months ago) and chose this hotel mainly for A) its location, B) the […] fact that they accept pets, and C) the Hyatt name. While some of the staff has been wonderful, like Chris at the Orchid poolside restaurant, and Johnny at Pelican Landing, when I called the front desk to report that my small dog had been attacked by one of the many feral cats on the property, I was told that I was in a room that did not allow pets, even though I clearly put the request in my booking. The gentleman further told me that they cannot control the feral cat population and he was more interested in deflecting my concerns by telling me I had been less than upfront when booking the room as to traveling with a pet. I did not ask for anything, not for them to pay for vet fees for an exam, or any type of refund, or anything; just notified them that the feral cats were a problem for pet owners. They told me that they were going to charge me the pet fee (fine, I assumed they already had because I told them I was bringing a pet). I gave them the location of the cat that chased us down the hotel corridor a good ten feet attacking my dog while I was dragging her backwards. While walking the property with my dog, looking at the many boats in the marina, we encountered two more feral cats as well. I was very disappointed in the front desk clerk's lack of any type of concern - he didn't even ask if my dog had been injured; he simply began accusing me of not telling them I was bringing a pet. I called hotels.com and reported the incident and they confirmed that my booking reservation clearly stated we were bringing a pet with us. I was really annoyed that the hotel advertises the use of the athletic equipment and sauna at no additional charge and when you arrive there to use it they charge a fee. I asked for the manager to call me on two separate occassions and they failed to return my call. On a positive note: The hotel is a bit of a hiden secret. Great location and value for my family and I prior to cruising out of Fort Lauderdale. Wish they had a shuttle to and from the ship which is less of a distance than the beach.
