Waikiki Sand Villa Hotel - Honolulu

Der var meget larm fra gaden så vi kunne ikke sove. Morgenmad var til grin 4 toast og 2 pk smør og dåse ananas fik vi hver morgen. Så vi valgte ikke at spise på hotellet. Ikke så meget at sige om dette hotel

Ikke den bedste placering i Waikiki, men udmærket standard til prisen. God og billig bar.

This hotel is placed in walk distances for the most of Waikiki. Fx 5 min. to the beach. It has a great view to the north part of Diamond Head and a river behind it is also viewable from most floors. The service is okay. Staff is nice, but not so smiley. I'll guess you can find better. Breakfest is almostly redicolous. You'll get toast, butter and marmelade. […] As extra, you can get mini croissants and micro donuts. But off course you can eat as much as you want. The bar is so nice. Here you can also order delicious lunch and dinner. And last but not least, you can also have some nice hawaiian fruit cocktails and enjoy them in the very nice pool. Læs mere

Rooms are kinda small but for the price,location and how clean and comfortable the room was it is worth it. Pool area awesome. Definetly would stay in the studio next time. If you can get a corner room facing the beach - great view and more balcony space. Restaurant open way into the a.m. Would recommend this place and will return.

The bed was hard as a rock. Had a hard time sleeping. Ac thermostat was set to 65 but barely reached 74. Woke up sweating both nights. Other than that I thoroughly enjoyed the staff and liked the price and location.

Very good for the price. We needed a one night stay when we got onto the island. Good location, away from the general noise which doesn't stop all night closer to the beach. It's a very short walk to the beach, with decent views of the city, mountains, and Diamond Head. I wouldn't want to stay here for an extended trip, but it was good for a budget […] layover. Læs mere

Great location,the staff was friendly but the beds in our room was uncomfortable very hard, mattress had plastict liner the breakfast poor.

Say was good as I tried to stay out of the hotel room most of my time. As the hotel room is not in same building as Waikiki Sand Villa hotel but in Aloha Surf Condo, a very little is taken care of in terms of clienlyness of the room, the stinks all the time even after keeping the door open for an entire night.

I thought it was comfortable considering the construction going on. Was able to use the pool and jaccuzi which was relaxing. Confusing staying in one hotel and trying to call another for service, like extra towels or room service for food. Parking should be included in the price of the hotel room.

a beautiful, LARGE pool, which is rarely crowded

Hotel charges $21/day for parking plus valet tips. There was no self-parking available. This extra charge was not shown when booked on hotels.com. Would have chosen another hotel if we had known this. The hotel was also under construction at the time of our visit limiting access to the lobby. Best part of Hotel was the the FOOD and it was cheap!! And being 2 blocks away from beach was nice. I would reccomend this hotel if you dont care about being fancy, it met our needs. It was family friendly. Pool was nice, deepest was 4ft. great for young kids. I went on a trip with 2 girlfriends and we rented a room at the Sand Villa - reserving the room w/3 twin beds. My only complaint about the Sand Villa is about the beds. The beds in our room were the most uncomfortable beds that my friends and I have ever slept in. The most we could endure in the beds was about 6 hours. We wanted to stay off the main road of Waikiki and this place was perfect. It has a great pool and is near the canal. The breakfast is really just toast and a cup of fruit so don't make your decision based on this (we only ate breakfast there once). It's just a few blocks from the beach. We were able to walk to a local Safeway and stock up on fruits and snacks and store in the mini-fridge. Great way to safe on some money! I was not expecting a bi-lingual experience at this hotel, but enjoyed it once I saw the Japanese translations everywhere and the Japanese-style toilets!

The room quality was poor. The bed was uncomfortable and had an old hard matress that was bent at the edge. The toilet seat was too small. The air was controlled by an unknown mechnaism and oyu could not turn up or make the air cooler. The refrigerator in the room did not operate to cold and would not keep items cold enough. It was on old cheaply made […] refrigerator. The remote control for the television did not work. I thought it was the battery and they came and changed batteries and it still did not work so i could not even watch the television. The front desk personnel after 3pm was rude and inattentive. It did not feel safe the lay out of the hotel as anyone could access the entrance wiht no screening as the front desk was off to the far right and oyu could access elevators wihtout being seen by the one inattentive an duncaring front desk clerk who worked by himself after 3 pm. The hotel was lower priced, clean and comfortable. The service was great. We enjoyed being two blocks from the beach. You can walk along the canal. We met some nice families there, too. The breakfast is very light. My daughter thought her single bed was hard. Our double bed was fine. I look forward to going back.

For the price a very good value. Parking was reasonable and street parking is available nearby if you can catch an open space which we did several days. Friendly, helpful staff. Plenty of hot water and AC ran well. Comfortable beds. Reasonably priced but limited menu at the restaurant. Included continental breakfast not bad, again considering price. […] With in room fridge we were very satisfied. Waikiki Sand Villa was overall a good experience. If you are looking for a cheap hotel in a great location a few blocks from Waikiki Beach, and satisfactory rooms, this is your hotel.

Comfortable place, great location. The bar seems to be popular with locals, especially during happy hour.

Good hotel:it was exactly as we thought it would be.Not 5 star but we weren't paying 5 star rates. The bed was comfortable and the room was small and clean (but dated).The continental breakfast was minimal but easily supplimented with purchases from the ABC store nearby. Our room faced the street and was noisy due to street activity (especially the […] tour vans with their reverse "beeping" sound).The hotel was a quick 5 minute walk to the beach. They are very into being "Green" with their energy. You have to use your room key to activate the electronics in your room. I thought that was a smart idea, it should be used in most if not all hotels.

enjoyed our recent stay at Waikiki Sand Villa Hotel. Convenient to beach, restaurants, and Diamond Head.

I was happy with the value of this hotel and would definitely stay again. It was right within close walking distance to the beach and nearby shops.

Extremely clean, close to everything, top notch swimming pool...what else do you need?

Hotel service is so bad. It charges $21 in parking and to make it worse, the only parking option is valet parking, so every time you ask the valet to get the car, you need to pay $2 or more in tip. Hotel's complementary breakfast is the worst and the breakfast room is so crowded. Timing is poor. I wish they would have charged extra and given nice breakfast […] like the hotel I stayed in Maui. Other services is are also not good. Overall I was not happy a single moment I was in the hotel. I just wanted my vacation to be over. Læs mere

Good location, but bad service! After check-out, I found I left my watch in the hotel room and called the front dest many times. Every time i was told they would check the room and call me back in a few minutes, but they never call me back.

Our room floor was very dirty. The air conditioning did not work at all. Pool water was so dirty, that we did not even think of swimming in it until later it was cleaned and also good for swimming. Jacuzzi was very nice. Be aware this hotel charges a deposit during your stay on your credit card and the shuttle to the airport is not free!

The room, with modern energy-saving features, was very clean and the hotel was conveniently located. The bed was stiff and hard, and the "high-speed" wireless was excruciatingly slow. I might stay there again, but it wouldn't be my first choice

The Waikiki Sands Villa Hotel was located within walking distance to all the shopping and restaurants Waikiki offers. Our room was on the 11th floor and was relatively quiet. I thought it looked nice for its price in the pictures, but when I arrived it was in a terrible, slightly ghetto location. Parking was $20, plus a $75 deposit, food is overpriced and no good. When we got to our room it was very small, ugly view, very uncomfortable bed, small shower with terrible water pressure, small tv and to top it all off, the fire […] alarm went off at 7 in the morning, everyone was rushing out, but it was a false alarm. So if you don't mind staying at a semi polished turd of a place and enjoy a fire alarm as your morning wake up call, then you should stay here. Overall, I am happy about my stay in the hotel Sand Villa. It is only few blocks away from the beach in the heart of Waikiki. The house keeping service was acceptable and the sheets and towels were clean. The hotel is targeting mainly Japanese tourists and you may find special Japanese appliances in your room, for example a toilet seat heater and washer! This hotel is the one you have to pay for coffee fee. One bag for $2.00 In the room you can smell toilet . very old and dirty in the bath room. The bed is very uncomfortable. The hotel is build next to min street. To noise. Can not sleep. I never come back this hotel.
