The bins in the family room could have been bigger. they also should have had a complete resturant menu in the room instead of a small one. maybe we could have ate there.

The outlook is much like old-aged European style but it is beautiful and quite. The room (Manor Twin)I lived is quite big and clean. I recommended this place to families. But due to the weather, the swimming pool can not be used coz the water temperature is too cold and there were leaves in it.

Excellent location, very comfortable bed, pleasant surroundings. Would certainly recommend it.

Arrived at hotel for w/e away from Sydney with husband to be told we'd be in twin beds, even though we'd specifically booked a Queen. It was not the hotel's fault, surly receptionist said, it was the fault of Expedia (we'd booked a 'Manor Twin' room, with the Queen bed option, thru Hotels.com). The Queen bed, she said, was a 'special request', not a […] definite booking, and Rydges could not provide it. Plainly ridiculous and news to us. She could upgrade us to a more expensive room (at our cost), but we would have to cancel Hotels.com booking (which had been paid in full with no cancellation allowed). Her manner was officious in the extreme. We asked to see the manager. "You can see him," she snipped, "but it won't make any difference." The upshot? We saw the manager -- by contrast a capable and delightful man -- and spent the weekend in a lovely big room with water views, a kitchenette and a deliciously comfortable canopied Queen bed. Asking a different receptionist later if she would call us a taxi, she pointed to a dedicated taxi phone behind me and said, 'pick up that phone. They'll ask you everything I would ask you.' Charming. Rydges needs to look seriously at its front desk staff. It's a mystery why they work in hospitality. Overall, in terms of the room, it was old and tired, tiles were broken in the bathroom, grip strips in the bath had come away etc. etc. but the bed was comfortable and the room spacious and lovely. Pleasant, quiet location in North Hobart, very spacious room, good restaurant and friendly, helpful staff.

We recently spent a week in Hobart and we would like to thank Danny and the crew at Ridges for making our stay a great experience. The rooms were very well appointed and the beds were the most comfortable we've ever slept in. This must be the loudest hotel room I have ever stayed in. I think the water pipes went through our room and whenever anyone in the entire hotel used water, we heard it. It sounded like a dying cow. I could also see light through the doorframe, not between the door and frame as you'd expect but between the frame and wall! The floor had dirt on it when […] we arrived and the same dirt was there when we checked out. They also had taken the light fixture down in the bathroom and just left it on the counter. Læs mere

歴史を感じさせるホテルで落ち着けた。 メンテナンスも古い作りを残したまま、きちんとしてあり 快適である。 低層階のためエレベータ等はないので、階段での荷物の出し入れは少し労力がいる。 ホバート中心部から少し離れているため、不便だが とても静かな環境。車利用の方は便利。
