Comfort Inn South - Northwood

Very dirty and unmanaged. Lounge was smelly and unattended.

The hotel was not in great shape. It was a little old and ward. Appearance from putside was rough also. The room was a bit warn and the bed spread had many stains on it. If my wife was with me on this trip we would have not stayed the night.

I reserved 2 rooms and both of the rooms had dirty carpet, there was sand in 2 of the beds, hair on the towels, empty water bottle in one of the rooms, and soiled bottom of the shower/tub. There were kids running around up and down the halls and partying going on in the courtyard late into the night. I looked in the courtyard and there must be rooms […] that are rented by the week because I saw some grills and even a tomato plant. I moved my car and parked it outside my son's room because there were several patrons that were drinking excessively. When we walked in to check in, there was loud inappropriate rap music being palyed in there bar area. Overall, it was an unpleasant experience and none of us slept well because of the noise. We chose not to eat at the continental breakfast because of the condition of the rest of the hotel. Would not recommend it to anyone! Læs mere

When you walk into the hotel, the lobby area is really nice, the exterior is in very bad shape. The room was musty smelling, had ants, had peeling wall paper AND someone had broken into the room at one point through the window. We ended up not staying there, was offered an upgrade but our children felt unsafe.

Reserved online, got to the hotel to check in. Requested to inspect the assigned room before checking in. Room was not cleaned, apparently previous occupants were just leaving. Room smells like someone just smoked cigarettes in the room even thpugh we are told it is a smoke-free room. Internt is our ofservice and they were not sure when it will get […] fixed. hallway has unpleasant smell. Fo me and my family, we will never consider any Comfort Inn anywhere. This is our second bad experience with Comfort Inn. The other one was in Indiana. Læs mere

The place is about due for a makeover: peeling wallpaper, missing grout, etc. and looks a little run-down, but the room was spotless. Everything in the room was fully functional--the a/c nearly froze me out.

The heat was not on in the room upon arrival and the room was very cold. It took several hours for the temperature to get to a comfortable setting. The heating/cooling unit in general was very loud and did not result in a good night's rest. Much of the equipment in the room was dated. We stayed here and paid extra over some of the other discount chains […] because we had always had a pleasant experience at Comfort Inn. The staff was wonderful, helpful and friendly. Check in was as expected. The hallways to the rooms were sad outdated and smelly, a real turnoff, but the room was basic but clean and the bed and linens were immaculate and amazingly comfortable. The pool was clean and inviting and the restaurant was basic but adequate, with an extensive dinner menu. The […] bar area was a plus and the bartender was very friendly and efficient. Læs mere
