Vi boede på et 3 personers værelse. God plads. Dejlig indretning. Gode senge. Gode gardiner, der kunne mørklægge værelset. Mega lækkert badeværelse. OK morgenmad i pæn spisestue. Fedt at hotellet ligger tæt på RER, når man skal til og fra Charles de Gaulle. Hotellet ligger tæt på Jardin des Plantes, hvor man kan tage en løbetur i smukke omgivelser. Værelserne er ikke som på billederne. De er helt igennem nedslidte ( så et andet værelse da jeg klagede ), radiator vand vælter ud på gulvet, på badeværelset løber vandet igennem loftet fra hotelværelset ovenpå og møblementet er udtjent for år siden. Prøvede at ringe Hotels.com op for at rette klagen dertil da de jo står inde for hotellet, det lod […] sig ikke gøre :-/ Men ønsker du at bo tæt på alt og er du ligeglad med at du betaler for hotelkomfort som du ikke får ( 3 stjerner ), så vend det blinde øje til og sov på det. Værelset var alt for lille.Sengen var alt for lille.Vi er ellers begge af normalhøjde.Hotellets beliggenhed er OK.Fri internetadgang.Lobbyen kunne næppe være mindre.Jeg vil højst give hotellet 2 stjerner.

Vi var 3 veninder på tur til Paris. Vi fik det bedste værelse - nyistandsat i uge 18. Det var meget flot, men der var en ulempe. Det lå helt oppe under taget, og Paris var meget kold i uge 19. Der var ingen varme eller isolering, så vi måtte under dynerne når vi kom hjem om eftermiddagen for at slappe af. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. I also appreciated the add at the counter for a van shuttle to the airport which was cheaper than a cab.

From the moment I checked in I loved everything about my stay here. The room was adorable, clean & loved the double french windows to open & look outside. I enjoyed my stay so much that I extended it for 2 more nights. Great location, the staff was very friendly. This area is where Hemingway tromped around in the 1920's. Easy to find, Direct train 5rer B) from Charles de Gaulle, not far from Bd St Germain and Bvd St Michel. Reception was great. Room simple, bathroom not new, but good deal for the price. Breakfast with everything. Staff fantastic and very helpful. Will go back

The hotel rooms that are not redone are not recommended. Ours was a basic room and smelled of cigarette smoke. We also got bedbugs from bed/room. We had arranged for the front desk to have a cab ready for us in the morning to go to the airport and they did not call the cab. We had to flag one down on the street outside. The best part of this hotel is the location-----within walking didtance to significant sights. Our room was surprising large--ask for room#12.The staff was very helpful with directions, transportation, and checking on reservations.

Very nice little hotel. 24 hour desk attendant. About two blocks toward the "parthenon" off of a metro stop. In the Latin quarter closer to the eastern part of the city. Awful hotel. Very dirty, small and disgusting. When we walked in, the electricity was out so we had to carry our luggage up the stairs. The rooms are small and filthy. The windows were broken and did not fully close. The A/C did not work. We walked out and refused to spend a single night in that dump!

Basic clean, friendly, accommodations in the 5eme on the rue des Ecoles. Breakfast room and lounge are "modern" but rooms are traditionally furnished. I really liked the pergo flooring in the room (I was in #44) rather than carpeting and the large windows that opened onto a narrow balcony, which is sort of standard for the buildings on the rue des Ecoles. […] Le Petit Perigourdine, a pleasant small bistro, is on the nearest corner. This hotel is very convenient to several sights around the latin quarter. There are also several good restaurants in the immediate vicinity. The neighborhood is very quiet and the top floor has rooms that each have a cute balcony overlooking the street. We did not eat breakfast there as we wanted to see the sights so I cannot comment on it. The staff […] is very friendly. In particular, one of the staff members (Jennifer) was extremely helpful and gave us very good recommendations on restaurants, bars, etc. One unusual aspect is that they make you leave your key when you leave the hotel. I switched to this hotel from another in Paris to be closer to the action in the Latin Quarter. I definitely got the location, but as far as the hotel, it was 3 stars at best overall. I mean it was clean, but if you are hoping for a nice, more modern place because of the name and reviews, I would really not. ROOM – an older room. The bed had a plastic […] sheet on it that we removed right away – it made noise and was a bit ridiculous. Otherwise the room was ok. The bathroom was ok as well. Overall clean but older SERVICE – the guy at the front desk during the day was a bit annoying. He was a bit condescending to people, so really did not appreciate it. The guy at night was much nicer. HOTEL OVERALL – with the name like “Moderne” and the neon blue lighting, you’d expect the rooms to be the same, but it’s just a cover. The lobby is a bit “Modern” but really it’s just the outside. Once you get above the first floor, it’s all the same old 3 star stuff. BREAKFAST – didn’t try it based on the reviews I read here before. There was a great café right across the street to the right – would highly recommend the Croque Madame there! INTERNET – there is internet, so that part was ok! LOCATION – is great – just a couple of minutes walk from St. Michelle. You can just walk around right from the hotel, or take the metro (depending on what you wanted to do). This hotel is in a great location! The staff was very friendly and willing to help us with any questions we had. The room we had was a little small - but we weren't really in the room that much because we were out exploring most of the day - so it didn't really make a difference at all. Loved the area and close enough to Notre Dame The Hotel was more like a motel with elevator service only to the 5th floor (our room on the 6th Floor) which normally would not be a problem but carrying the luggage up and down an extra flight of stairs was someone difficult, but the hotel staff assured us this was really the best room with 3 single beds. […] All the staff were very helpful except on our last night/day when we had an altercation with a weeknight desk clerk that insisted we leave our key at the front desk, which we told her we felt very uncomfortable doing. No one else had insisted and the front desk is not hiding the keys, they are just out for anyone to walk by or come in off the street and take! Particularly, when we mentioned that we had gone by the desk on several occasions when no one was at the desk (we have pictures to prove this). Then because we would not do as she insisted, she did not want to talk to us anymore, and made it very uncomfortable to ask a question or even go through the lobby. I've been to Paris a few times before and stayed in other areas of town, but kept gravitating towards the St. Germain area so I thought I would look for a hotel in the area for this trip. The Moderne Saint Germain is a cute hotel right in the heart of everything. You are not only in the St. Germain (Latin Quarter) area and 3 blocks from the Pantheon, […] but less than 10 minutes walk to Notre Dame, or about 15 minutes walk to the Louvre. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff was really great. I will definately be staying there on my next visit. :) Læs mere

Hotel was fine but had extremely thin walls, and doors that you had to slam to close. Constant noise from other guests at all hours.

I was pleased with Moderne Saint Germain Hotel. I arrived early and I was able to check into the room as soon as housekeeping was finished cleaning. The staff spoke English which was great. The room was really nothing special (small shower, as to be expected in europe), but it was clean. The location was fantastic (close to everything - restaurants, […] metro, and more). This is a hotel for tourists---that is, don't choose it if you prefer the sterile, Marriott, it could be anywhere but certainly feels like the U.S. type of hotel. Do choose it if you simply want a reasonably priced base of operations convenient to the sites you will want to see in Paris. Ours was an unusually (for a big city, including Paris) large […] room with 3 single beds. Nothing fancy, basic furnishings, but seemingly recently rehabbed. This particular room (#28) was on a quiet back street (front of hotel may well overlook Rue des Ecoles, which is a significant thoroughfare). Small, modern and easy to deal with. Perfect location with access to the Metro. Rental bikes available right outside on the sidewalk. Good breakfast but priced too expensive at 12 euros.

Basics were all satisfactory. Room was small, TV was small and only got a few stations and no movie channels. Free wireless was a plus.

I chose this hotel for the location and the modern photos it displayed however the only part that had been modernised was the reception & ground floor. We had a triple room which whilst not spacious was ample however the fridge did not work, one of the bed's was broken and because of the sloping ceiling, the shower head could not even be attached to […] the wall and no shower curtain or door turned the bathroom into a wetroom. Location wise it wasnt bad (10 mins walk to Notre Damme and 5 mins to bars/restaurants. Didnt bother with the breakfast at 12 euro when you could get it down the street for 6 euro. Rooms were pretty moisy due to paper thin walls which if you're a light sleeper could distrurb your slumber. Wouldnt recommend this hotel but if it suits your budget it isnt the worst. Læs mere

Business in Paris at back end of week so looking for hotel that would allow easy access to sights for the weekend. Spot on. Service was good, staff friendly, breakfast a joy. Room was slightly small with no lounging type chair but as I spent most of the day on the streets not a real issue. However, the gym was not really accessible to me (and one of […] the reasons I chose the hotel) as it was only open between 9am and 7pm (not mentioned on web site) whereas really you need this facility early morning or later in evening so you don't have a decision to make...gym vs sightseeing! The hotel was what I expected for cleanliness, and amenities. I paid more for a room with internet access and had great connection with no problems. The hotel is just a 3 min walk to the metro, which was also great. You are definitely paying for a "typical" room in Paris. The only problem, which ruined the whole hotel experience for me, was one of […] the men at the front desk. He was absolutely rude to me the last two days. I stayed a total of one week, and on the last night my longtime friend took the train to see me for dinner. I had a big bed, so intended to have my friend stay overnight. The man the the front desk told me that after I paid over thirteen thousand dollars, that I could not have any guest for one night. Then he preceded to say awful things to my guest . To top it off, the next morning, I was 15 minutes late for the airport taxis scheduled and he again preceded to patronized me, like I am inconveniencing him. Læs mere

impressions d'amertume : un accueil froid, odeurs de peinture très incommodantes, changement de chambre en cours de séjour. En dehors de ce problème, l'hôtel est propre mais le personnel trop peu attentif pour un établissement qui se veut de ce standing !

Hotel bem localizado, quarto limpo e sem cheiro do mofo, nao espere um quarto luxuoso, contudo para o meu objetivo que era somente dormir atendeu muoto nem. Atendentes atenciosos.... Simplificando um hotel bom e barato.

Hotellet ligger i gangavstand til metro-stasjoner, man kan gå til flere store turistatraksjoner , det er flere gode restauranter i nærheten, standarden er grei nok; senga er god, det er dusj med varmt vann i, rene hndkler og rent sengetøy. Betjeningen er hyggelig og tjenestevillige. Et rimelig og veldig bra sted å bo.

Hotel très agréable, accueil très sympathique et efficace. Chambre spacieuse et propre, seule la salle de bain aurait mérité un petit rafraichissement. Localisation idéale dans Paris.

Hotellet var bedre enn forventet. Bra frokost. Nær metro.

Hotellet ligger meget sentralt og rommet var pent å se på og hadde god plass for en liten familie på 3. Eneste problemet var total mangel på lydisolasjon. Ble holdt våken til langt på natt av skritt og pratelyder, og våknet tidlig på morgenen av akkurat det samme. Hadde de isolert litt i gangene og byttet dørene ville dette ha vært ett perfekt hot […] ell. Læs mere

Staff friendly and helpfull. Rooms clean. Cenrally located, 5-10 min. walk to Metro and Notre Dame.

Hotellet har en fin beliggenhet og ligger i en forholdsvis lite trafikert gate. Hyggelig betjening og god frokost. Rommene er som resten av Paris små, men de har det du trenger og er ryddige. Kjempefin plassering mtp Latinerkvartalet og tilgang til metro og båt. Anbefales
