"Outstanding deal for your money"
On my way through on vacation. My family and I checked in and were greeted with 2 drink coupons each and buffet breakfast coupons. Nice pool and hot tub. Would definately stay again over and over! Very friendly staff and prompt service.

The best hotel I have ever stayed in! Highly recommend this hotel. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Very clean! Close to shopping and interstate. Has a great hot breakfast and evening reception. We stopped at this hotel during a break on a long drive from San Francisco to Portland. The staff was so friendly and helpful! The room accommodated our family of 5 very adequately, and the two televisions made it easy to watch grown-up t.v. while the kids watched a movie. "Highly Recommend"
It was the best nights sleep we had throughout our vacation. Staff was friendly and checked us in promptly. Moved us to another room at check in because they knew a party was going on where our original room was located. The room was very clean and comfortable. We will definitely stay there again.
"Stayed out of neccesity"
The weather turned bad so I called my wife to book a hotel in Redding. I would not have stayed but since the reservation was made and the weather was terrible I went with it. The location is close to some chain restaurants but nothing great and the hotel is in desperate need of updating as well as soundproofing.

I stayed here as an overnighter, as I was en route to another destination. I was traveling with my cat and the process of checking in was effortless. Lately, the prices of accommodation have risen to shocking levels, but the Redding Oxford Inn has excellent value for the money. Loved the decor and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The bowl […] of organic apples on the check-in counter was a welcome perk. This property was located next to a Marie Callender's which was also welcome. Wireless internet is free and easy to log on. The evening reception and breakfast food were…okay. I was expecting somewhat better than ham and grits and they only had bagels and white sandwich bread for toasting. Enjoyed my stay in a king suite with a fold out coutch. Room was a little on the small side for a suite but it was laid out well. I was most impressed with the complimentary wine and snacks in the evening then the breakfast in the morning was quality food. "Clean. comfortable and convenient"
We have stayed at other Redding hotels. The Oxford Suites was by far, much nicer. The staff was very friendly, our room was very clean, and the room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Love the extra pillows too!

Stayed over for one night on the way up to Medford, OR. Would stay again!
Overall, the hotel is great, but our room was uncomfortable and noisy. The bed was not comfortable.

Excellent value. Room was clean and the employees were very helpful. Located within close proximity to restaurants and shopping malls. Free breakfast was outstanding after a workout in the hotel's fitness room. If I returned to Redding, I would stay there again.

The value was outstanding, the staff very friendly and helpful, the room very clean, pleasant and comfortable. I was surprised at the above because of the poor condition of the street sign and a large notice regarding submission of a request for change of ownership; but was happily proved wrong at my initial judgement. One complaint - there is a *very* […] annoying noise coming out of the refrigerator in the sundries/snack shop in the lobby. It sounds like a futuristic evil robot or a british emergency vehicle far down the street with its alarm going. I asked if it was broken and the clerk said no, it was as a result of it being fixed. I professed my sympathy for their audio work condition, and they said they'd rather hear that than the uber-irritating motion sensor alarm that electronically ding-dongs every time someone passes the store threshhold. I was charmed they are the type to count their blessings and counted my blessings too. Because then it's all I could hear and yeah - it's annoying. Seriously, fix the refrigerator noise, and find a more pleasant sounding motion sensor - your lobby employees work really hard to keep your guests happy, and that's what sets the tone for a nice stay at Oxford. "Surprisingly High Quality for Price"
This hotel was clean, comfortable and a very good value for the price. I have stayed at far more expensive hotels that didn't offer the quality that this one did.

My family and I stay at lots of hotels while traveling for competitive soccer and I'm pretty sure this is the best place place we have stayed so far. The service was great, they went above and beyond to accommodate, giving us early and late check out, free drinks and snacks. "Green"
I always stay at this hotel in Redding. I was very pleased this time to see that they have gone green! They now save thousands of bottles by using refillable bottles in each room. They also have recycle bins in the room. The new shampoo/conditioner/lotion they use now is amazing, smells and works great.
"Good Hotel - terrible bed"
The one thing that is most important to me when I travel is the quality of the bed provided by the hotel in which I stay. The bed at the Oxford Suites was very uncomfortable and I barely slept at all. The matress was hard and lumpy with a trough in the middle. In fairness, everything else about the place was fine.

Booked a King Suite at hotels.com, paid extra, but when I got there they gave me a loud Queen Suite instead and went through the whole "must have been a screw up on the hotels.com side, who knows what you really booked or paid for.. you know those computers.." hand waving routine, like it's that complicated or obscure. They were supposed to get back […] to me and let me know exactly what hotels.com indicated I purchased so we could straighten it out, but they never did. On checkout told me it was really my problem and couldn't even give me paperwork indicating what type of room I received. The people were nice about it though, but that didn't help anything in the end. The other problem was the room we got was loud, wedged on a busy hallway intersection next to the pool and the ice machine on one wall, lots of screaming kids running through. The hotel was ok, not great. It's an older hotel, the room was clean but the place could use some updating. Breakfest was good but could have started sooner for those of us wanting to get an early start.

"This hotel is not worthy of a 3 star rating"
The only thing that saves this hotel is the super friendly staff. As we unpacked our truck upon arrival there was a man in the parking lot trying to break into cars, the surrounding neighorhood is not safe. The room smelled strongly of cheap air freshner which made me feel ill. The sheets and towels were threadbare.

This is a nice hotel right off the 1-5 freeway for those traveling up and down the west coast. We are a family of 4 with 2 young kids. Front desk service was excellent, the woman was really friendly and welcoming. Hotels.com did mess up on our reservation but the hotel made sure to give us the large suite we had paid extra for. The room was big and […] spacious with lots of nice amenities and the bed was comfy. It was a little old and smelled kinda musty when we first walked in, plus we didn't feel comfortable walking around barefoot on the old carpet, however the bathroom was clean. The breakfast was a little less then average, but I was still happy to have something to eat before I hit the road again. The area is busy and there is a lot of places within walking distance. "They Try Harder"
This is an excellent place to stay. The suites are very comfortable, and are actually suites, with a separate closable sitting room. The sitting room has a second TV, frig and mictowave. The buffet breakfast is better than most. They serve complimentary hors d'oevres in the evening, and give you two free drink chits at check in.

Check in was as easy as telling them my last name and proving ID. They asked which floor I prefered, handed me my key and pointed me in the direction of my room. I was in room 106 and it was FANTASTIC. There were 2 TV's and doors that could be closed to create two rooms if needed. The shower was very warm with very good water pressure. The only possible […] downside was that the window to the room looked out over the pool and if there were noisy children at the pool (for me there was not) I could see that being a problem. The breakfast the next morning was delicious and the people working the diner were very nice. Check out was as easy as handing them my keys and saying "Goodbye". "Stop and Go Stay"
For us this as a stop and go stay. We arrived in the early evening and left the next mornng. There was full hot breakfast included in the cost of the room. I would recommend this as a very good place to stay for a stay such as ours. It is not a resort type facility and sould not be expected to live up to be.
