Hotel staff was very nice. Breakfast had large variety with superior quality. Room was nicely sized and very clean. Overall a great stay.

There was a problem with some stains on the toilet rim. Housekeeping had gone for the day but the front desk attendant personally and promptly cleaned it up her self. The hotel was comfortable and well located in a cozy neighborhood, not far from the University and best of all, just across the parking lot from the Des Moines dinner.

Hot water in bathroom sink had little water pressure but the shower was totally fine. Rest of hotel and room were good. Breakfast was good.

I was in Devils Lake on business and was pleasantly suprised by the Holiday Inn Express. I will definitely stay there again.

It was a decent hotel but the cell phone signal was basically non-existent, which made work and contact with family impossible from the room. Had to drive two blocks and sit in a parking lot for any meaningful phone conversations. There is no way I could stay there again because of this. Everything else about the hotel was fine.

Best "free breakfast" at any hotel chain. The automatic pancake machine is way cool and the pancakes are delicious. Best location for Drake visits. You MUST eat at the Drake Diner; excellent food; excellent menu; excellent experience.

The hotel team was professional and helpful. The room was spotless and perfect. There was a wonderful breakfast and free parking. And, you could be in downtown Des Moines within a matter of minutes. Stay here!

we really enjoyed our one night stay at this hotel. although there was no pool for my daughter to swim in, overall the accommodations were very pleasant. the room was clean and had an open feel to it and was much nicer than another hotel we stayed at the last time. thank you

Room looked clean, how ever i have to change the room in the middle of the night due to bed bugs. We told the hotel management.

I like Hliday Inn Express because I always know what to expext. The beda are the same (very comfy) and the breakfasts have a varied enough menu that you can eat healthy or indulge (like my husband). The staff at this hotel was absolutely outstanding- so helpful. Only problem i had was they did not have an exercise room (and wether was bad so i could […] not wlk outside) And the bathroom did not have a venting fan so the particle board ceiling was kind of crumbly. Staff was great and room very comfortable. Food was good. Only complaint would be no vent in bathroom and there was was therefore some mold on the wooden door and the ceiling waspeeling. Otherewise- excellent!@

After doing some research online with various other hotel chains, we chose the Holiday Inn Express. It was close to Wells Fargo Arena and not far from restaurants. Holiday Inn Express is well located for Drake University area. Everything went well including the manager stopping the party next door. Breakfast was OK for two days and everyone was helpful in cluding the manager stopping a party in the room next door. Thanks.

It started with the check in. The person at the desk acted like she was being bothered when I arrived at the hotel. Very unfriendly, I think she was playing a game or something on her computer. Bathroom was covered with black hairs and when we went for the complimentary breakfast, we had to stand in line behing the housekeeping staff, who took the last […] of the breakfast leaving us with toast. This room had one of the noisiest air conditioners I have ever had at a hotel. It would cycle on and off ( you could not set it to run the fan continously), and was very noisy when cycling. My wife was not able to sleep well at all due to the continous cycling noise.

my only negative is i wish it had movies on demand.

As with most Holiday Inn Express Hotels, it was a good night's stay - comfortable and clean.

My kids loved this spacious hotel room with 2 queen beds and lots of various kinds of pillows. They laveled on the pillows firm, soft, etc. No refrigerater but the free breakfast was so nice ever. yogurt, boiled eggs, apples, chocolate milk, cereal, breads and so on. I liked it and would like to recommend definetely!
