Virkelig centralt beliggende men roligt hotel. Værelserne er små, men jeg synes at værelserne generelt er fine og rengøringen er iorden. Man kan lave kaffe og te på værelset ligesom der er et køleskab, så drikkevarerne kan holdes kolde. Hotellet har en fin tagterasse hvor der er udsigt ud over byen og til bjergene bagved. The hotel is in a fantastic location, near old town and the Promenade des Anglais. It's just that bit back from the main streets so there was no noise coming from the traffic or loud passers by. The room was standard, everything you need for sleeping and washing. The one selling point for us were the staff. They really were brilliant. We had an issue […] on the 2nd day where there were problems with our toilet plumbing so they quickly sent up their handyman and moved us into another room. They even left a note the next day to say sorry for the inconvenience. Although we hardly noticed the problem because it was dealt with so efficiently! The Mercure was conveniently located close to all ameneties. The breakfast was good quality and well presented. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hotel to others

This is a nice hotel in a great location. Only negative is that the staff don't seem to know basic information like other ways to get to airport and where markets are.

Hotel pretty run down and could do with some updating especially the carpet. Staff not all that friendly, breakfast very expensive (try the Supermarket next door).

The room we had was tiny but the bed we slept in made up for that as it was extremely comfy. Great location and fantastic rooftop terrace.

Staff are very helpful and the stay was very comfotable. We spent a week there for Ironman France and then returned for 2 nights en route home. They stored our bike boxes and extra luggage for 4 days while we took a trip to Corsica. They were very accommodating in this regard since our boxes are large and they were limited for space. The location of this hotel is good, near a number of restaurants and bars and only a short walk from the beach, but the place has seen better days. The door to the toilet our room didn't close properly and everything seemed a bit shabby and mean. We were only staying for one night and got quite a good price, so it wasn't the end of the world, but if […] you are coming here for a full holiday or paying anywhere near full price then I think it would be very poor value. The hotel is in a great location, and very easy to get to places. The hotel itself is a little old, but not run down, just could use a little revamp. But the bed was comfortable and the bathroom an ok size. The free wi fi did not connect in our room, so could only get connection in the lobby.

Very disappointed as I expected more for the rating. It was clean but appeared run down. Duvet cover was ripped, Bathroom tile mildewed in tub area. Large hole under sink - just waiting for bug or rodent to appear. Staff was very nice.

Lovely little hotel tucked away in a small street in the centre of Nice. Quiet, no main road - and a lovely delicatessen next door.

We had a good experience staying here. Good size of room with all the ammenities you would expect. The hotel is central to the centre of Nice and within 15minute walk of the main SNCF train station in the town. The reception staff were helpful, and spoke English well (My French is rubbish). The location of the hotel is great, it is 2 blocks away from the beach, next to the shopping street, restaurants, old town, tram station and 2 blocks away from the bus stop to the airport, 8min walk to the train station. On the map everything seems much further. When you walk to the first street with restaraunts, do not miss Italian gelateria "The Amorino", […] it is the best gelato I've had in my life (even better than in Italy). The hotel itself looks 4-star and very clean. The staff at the front desk is awesome and speaks very good English! Unfortunately, the promo rooms are not of a 4-star quality, it is a maximum 3-star (comparing to promo rooms at other 4-star hotels in France and Europe). The room that we got was very small with broken lamp cap and chipped paint on the bathroom door. When we checked into the room, there was someone's hair in the bathroom that was not cleaned by a maid the next day either (the maid service was not that great but when we asked the front desk, everything was corrected immidiately#. The walls in our room was not sound-proof, every morning around 7am I woke up from the lound sound of running water in the room #actually it was a neighbor taking the shower#. There is no air conditioner in the room #at least that vent did not cool down the room below 20C#, only the heater. Very centrally located hotel in Nice. Within walking distance of everything. Rooms were adequate, big by French standards. Lovely to get an electric kettle and a fridge. Bed very comfy. Breakfast was very good, in fact excellent. Staff were most helpful and pleasant.

The Hotel was going through revovations. We did not get a renovated room and way over paid for a room that is not even up to a one star rating! The carpet was disgusting and the walls super thin! You could here the person snoring and showering in the next room! The only silver lining is the location. It was center to most everything. It is convenient to the town and bus station and it is clean. The coffee in the room is a plus. They spoke English and were helpful in getting a taxi and giving us directions to different places. They were great.

I had a very pleasant stay in the Mercure Nice Grimaldi. The room was very clean and very comfortable, the bed especially and i like to have a duvet not blankets. The other room features i liked were a kettle to make hot drinks and a small fridge(not so small to be of any use) with a complimentary bottle of water, to keep food/drink i had purchased […] cool. Brilliant idea. The roof terrace was a relaxing area to enjoy some spring sunshine. The only negatives were that some of the bathroom fittings were a bit tired looking, but worked perfectly well. Basic room but it did the job..great that it was located so close to everything.. walking distance to bus, train station, old town and beach... Lovely breakfast plenty of choice! Bar was quite expensive though would recommend

Booked hotel for location, rooftop patio/sunbed facility. Also booked superior room based on photographs on website. Everything fine apart from room which was hugely disappointing: very basic, stained carpet, and noisy ineffective air conditioning. breakfast good, reception good but bar never manned.

Although not located in such a prominent location on the sea front as 2 other maybe more popular Mercure Hotels - don't be decieved. This hotel is handily located for a lot of bars and restaurants yet still about 5 minutes walk from the Promenade. It is also located on a quiet road..... so traffic noise will not be a problem.

Really enjoyed Nice and the Mercure Grimaldi. Was in Italy and France for two weeks Aug 1-14th and was in Nice for 3 nights. Had a great time. The hotel is close to beach and shopping/restaurants but not so close it's annoying. Quick 2 min walk to shopping beach is only 5-10max. Hotel has a mini fridge and there is a grocery store litterally right outside […] the door which is so handy for cheap breaky and beer/wine. Room is a little dated but was probably the biggest room we stayed in on our two week holiday in Europe. AC worked well. Carpet is old and needs torn up but that was our ONLY thing we didn't like. Shower has a tub which was clean and big. No complaints what so ever. Had an amazing trip and hope to be back again. Læs mere

The hotel room was small but nicely decorated. The bathroom was modern. We didn't pay for the breakfast but went out into the neighbourhood for a cheaper meal. The surrounding area is full of nice restaurants and great shopping. Short walk to Vielle Ville where we ate most dinners. Would definitely visit Nice again and stay at this hotel.

Hotel was expensive and we thought would be pretty decent but we turned up to find a tiny dated bedroom that looked like it had been subdivided from the room adjacent to squeeze another room out. Bathroom was dated also and looked like its interior design was assembled by Stevie Wonder. Limited TV options too for an international chain (BBC news 24 […] only English channel...there's only so many times I want to know about the weather..not even the weather for Nice). For my entire Europe trip early June , I stayed in 4 hotels, includinf 3 Mercure locations. Even though the price in this hotel is the lowest, but tyou sacrifice at the confort level. The location of the hotel is absolutely spot on, near all the night life and shops. We went away for my 40th with 6 other couples, some were pleased with there rooms, others not so pleased. The one's that weren't so pleased had mould round the frosted bathroom window, tiny room with no mirrors in it apart from the bathroom which is not great when drying […] your hair! Paint round door frames in sum of the rooms was chipped and could have done with a lick of paint. In all rooms were really clean and to be fair you don't spend much time in the rooms anyway. Found Nice a very pleasant place to visit.Bus link to and from airport was excellent--as was the bus service to other local towns/cities--very cheap! Hotel was convenient for all areas of Nice but room a bit small and soundproofing inadequate.Food and service was excellent and the Hotel clean and tidy.Eating out can be expensive unless you search off […] the main street.Overall we had an excellent holiday with superb weather every day. Små men meget funksjonelle rom, nyoppusset med smakfull innredning. Flott med tom minibar og vannkoker. Hyggelig med gave, sekken kom til god nytte. Meget hyggelige og hjelpsomme frokostpersonale. Et godt alternativ i Nice, vi kommer igjen.
