Hotellet er et godt hotel med en meget lækker morgenbuffet. Desværre ligger det i et meget uskønt område tæt ved M8, som skærer Glasgow over i to dele. Der er ikke støj fra motorvejen. Serveringen i baren er noget langsom.

Stort hotel, men føles aldrig sådan - stemningen er varm og imødekommende og man føler sig meget velkommen. Selvom det ikke ligger med den bedste udsigt - lige til hovedvejen - så er det centralt både for byens hovedstrøg med butikker, restauranter og pub'er, men også i gåafstand til seværdigheder og offentlig transport. Det var vores indtryk, at Skotter […] generalt er meget imødekommende og hjælpsomme - både personalet i butikkerne og "mening mand" på gaden. Min bedømmelse er som vist fuldt tilfredsstillende. Elevatorerne var dog vist nok under omlavning, men opmærksomme ansatte i restauranten så den lange ventetid og tilbød flere gange at køre med personale elevatoren. Det frembringer ekstra poit til den vakse unge pige.

Hotellet har alt det er skal til med 5 stjerner.

Despite the renovation work going on at the Hotel, it didn't detract from the services of the Hotel. Enjoyed out overnight stay at the Hilton which we have used in the past.

very comfortable, we will stay again at the same price

Hotel has friendly staff and good service. Stayed in a family room which was supposed have two queen sized beds but our two boys had to sleep on a double sofa bed! Food was excellent and evening meal on first night inclusive in the room and breakfast price. Excellent value. Also good clean Swimming pool and spa/ sauna facilities which we all used twice […] during our two night stay. Some alterations are taking place in the restaurant area and other parts of the hotel but staff were very apologetic and provided excellent service. Would stay in hotel again even though in my opinion it is not a 5 star hotel. Maybe it will be when the upgrade has been completed. Læs mere

I really enjoyed to stay at Glasgow Hilton. I had a spacious room in the 9th floor, I liked the gym and the pool, and the breakfast was really good. In short I will definitely stay here again.

We stayed here last weekend as we had a wedding close by. Staff friendly, room perfect, bed so comfy. Definitely stay again if opportunity arises.

Stayed in a double double with our 19 and 22 years old children had plenty of room. I am on a wheat free diet and the chefs went out of their way to make sure I was accommodated for. A 10 minute walk from the city centre, it is central and within the area to give you easy access to all Glasgow has to offer and not too far from Loch Lomond and The Ayrshire […] Coast. Læs mere

We had a lovely stay here, within walking distance of city centre, close to SECC. The staff are vey friendly & helpful, especially the receptionist Gayle, who was a real gem.

Top quality hotel with all the amenities you'll need, large rooms in great condition

In general this was excellent as you would expect. My only disappointment was that we were three adults and the third bed was a fold down sofa bed. For the amount paid I think a better additional bed would have been expected. Service in the hotel was first class.

when we booked the hotel through hotel.com we were told that we were booked in for dinner for both nights by the adviser who took our booking, she said she called the hotel to confirm this, the booking was through the dinner promotions offer. on arrival at the hotel this was not the case and explained this at reception who were very understanding. we […] didnt complain about it so the hotel gave us a free bottle of wine with our dinner on the first night which was good of them.we had a great stay at the hotel and would go back.the only thing was tho price of the parking, its £20.00 for two nights, a bit dear i thought. Enjoyed the stay, one lift not working but that did not delay unduly. The Health Spa was good at the end of a busy day.

Only stayed one night, the hotel staff were very helpful. The room was very comfortable and also very clean. The only thing we had a grumble about was at the bar, we ordered nibbles which were awful, apart from that everything was great.

The location of the hotel was too out of town for convenience for a city break. When we asked the doorman how to get into town he said he did not know where to get a bus, yet on walking about 2 hundred yards there was the bus stop !! stayed at Hilton 3 times before. As always the hotel is very clean breakfast is a pleasurable experience as Chef Jimmy is always willing to assist. Room was excellent, very roomy and good views over Glasgow. Leisure facilities very good. reception being upgraded and only complaint would be the lifts have been being replaced since last June and still […] not completed, only 2 lifts is not enough for volume of customers, so please hurry and get them all working again. A very comfortable & friendly hotel. Renovations were taking place but the disruption was minimal. Superb breakfast & lovely dinner, friendly approachable staff. Spotless rooms with all amenities but too hot and no way of controlling the temperature.

This hotel was advertised as a 5 star hotel but the only thing 5 star about it were the prices. The lifts took an eternity to pick you up and were totally inadequate for the number of floors and rooms. Both mornings we had to queue in the lounge for breakfast - first day 20 minutes, second day 35 minutes. The food was poor and no better than a transport […] cafe. The staff were mostly non-british and clearly had inadequate training. Never stay here again and don't advise anyone else to. Læs mere

Stayed in this hotel for Valentine Weekend. Beautiful hotel and dined in Minskys which was excellent. The variety and quality of food was amazing. There was two things that griped us though, which was the lifts. With only two of the three lifts working, and only one which called to floors it was called to, getting to and from your room took at least […] half an hour. The other thing was the heat temperature in the rooms, even although we turned the air con on and turned the temperature down, the heat was still hurrendous. The hotel was ideal for our needs. Even during refurbishment of certain areas there were no issues. Also felt the quietness of the room from outside was very good but of course the hotel cannot be blamed for the rowdiness of neighbours in the corridor.

Having recently stayed in the Hilton Glasgow for a weekend visit to the city, I can only say it was nothing short of excellent! The staff were efficient, welcoming, professional and very helpful especially the beautiful lady who oversaw breakfast with such charm and smile. The hotel itself was clean and everything you would expect. The only mini-criticism […] I have are the lifts - they just did not work and were the only 'Fawlty Towers' part of our stay. at the moment undergoing major lift refit so queues and delays getting up and down but overall good. went for a swim and the attendant was very helpful. very pleasant

Rooms are nicely decorated and didn't find the lighting a major issue. Good bed for a decent night's sleep. Looking over motorway wasn't a problem for us, in fact, we found it interesting and somewhat theraputic (you can't hear the traffic). Breakfast was more than adequate, although not as good as some other 4* establishments, like the Marriott. The […] location is on the edge of town and not brilliant for walking to as it is a little dark and remote but it was not a major issue for us (knowing the locale). If in doubt, take a taxi, they are not expensive (only about £4 or £5 into the centre). Overall a very nice visit, with plenty to do in Glasgow and a really lovely hotel. Læs mere

convenient to our purposes

I expected abit more from this hotel to be honest.I recently stayed here for just a night with my girlfriend.I live in Ireland and she lives in Edinburgh,do I flew in for new years to surprise her and treat to a night in Glasgow. I am probably the most easy going guy in the world but I just felt that the room was abit dated and i was expecting something […] abit better.The staff were nice and friendly but I don't know did we hit the bar at the wrong time but we did have to wait a long time for food and when it came my meal was abit cold.Now as I said the staff were nice so maybe I caught on an off day.I didn't lodge any complaints during my stay but I just felt a little left down.JPPower Læs mere

Wonderful hotel and city, I have never been to Glasgow before but for me it is now the new Manchester and I will be going again and staying at this marvellous hotel with fantastic rooms, friendly courteous staff and first class leisure falicities what more can I say..... Ps very handy to Glasgow central train station just pop out the side entrance […] and you can see the Hilton at the top of Waterloo Road no more than an 8-10 minute walk. Great places to wine and dine in the city so much to see and do we needed more than two days. K Læs mere

The Hilton in Glasgow is a fantastic hotel to stay in if you are looking for that little bit of luxury. The standard rooms are very big with massive beds and even comfy pillows! Its only a 5-10 minute walk to the city centre which is very acceptable given the quality of the rooms. However, if you have more than one piece of luggage each, you will need […] to take a taxi as it is that bit too far then. The bar is very expensive but that comes withe staying in this type of hotel. Look around for deals as you don't need to pay full price. Great hotel, comfortable room, very luxurious, however just a shade too far out of town for s girl who likes to wear heels. Was a little peeved that we were charged £4 for a bucket of ice delivered to our room, considering we stayed two nights, for breakfast. Seemed a little cheap of the hotel. hotel had no problems,lovely breakfast as usual. BUT car park needs to state more clearly there are special rates for residents as our parking was a nightmare experience and we ended up parking in another carpark a few streets away so spoilt the day for us.
