VI var i Helsinki i 4 dage og boede på dette dejlige hotel. God beliggenhed, og rigtig god service og fantastisk mad i restauranten.

Hotellet er helt ny renoveret og vi fik som følge heraf et godt tilbud. Værelserne er meget moderne med frostet glas mellem værelset og brusenichen. Jeg kan forestille mig, at par synes, at det er sjovt, hvorimod det er lidt pudsigt, hvis man rejser med en ven/veninde. Hotellet havde problemer med at følge med de mange spisende morgenmadsgæster om søndagen, […] men da vi nævnte det var de meget, meget venlige og lovede at gøre det bedre frem over. Læs mere

Hotel Linna er bygget i middelalder stil og har nogle hyggelige opholdsrum i og ved receptionen. Morgenmaden er god og alsidig og der er ikke langt at gå til centrum og til banegården hvorfra man kan ta bus til lufthavnen. Meget venligt og hjælpsomt personale. Eneste anke er, at vi syns værelset var for lille i forhold til den ellers dejligt store dobbelt […] seng, som fyldte godt op i rummet. Læs mere

Godt hotel i rolige omgivelser, renligt, venlige folk i receptionen. Gode værelser og ok morgenmad. 5-10 min gå-afstand til centrum. Kun én engelsksproget tv-kanal, men kan i øvrigt anbefales.

Hotel Linna er et meget rustikt opbygget hotel, ligner ikke så mange andre i udseende, i receptionen og morgenmadslokalet, hyggeligt og spændende. Trods ombyggeri roligt ophold. Venligt personale og godt værelse. 10 minuters gang til Centrum af Helsinki.

We are satisfied with the interior of the hotel. Nice staff. Good sauna. One disadvantage of this hotel was the bed for two person, because the bed was very narrow. The location of the hotel is not very away from the boulevard. The price is very low. Generelt en utrolig positiv oplevelse at bo på hotellet. Det eneste der er at påpege er manglende aircondition på værelserne, men kun fordi der i de dage var omkring 25-30 grader i Helsinki. Ellers var alt andet perfekt og personalet var utrolig venligt og hjælpsomme! Det ligger i gå-afstand til det meste i Helsinki, så ingen behov for at bruge penge […] på transport for at komme rundt i centrum. Morgenmadsbuffeten var både traditionelt finsk og delvis engelsk (pølser, æg osv.). En dansker vil ikke savne noget :) Læs mere

Very good service and excellent breakfast in charmy location. Only negative issue is Internet is extra, but affordable. Close to Helsinki center and infrastructure.

Has to change rooms after first night but this was done with no fuss.Enjoyed the stay but was not as advertised in write up.

Brand new charming hotel, no complaints whatsoever.

We booked one of the smart rooms. It was small but more than met our needs. The staff were exceptionally good and the breakfast choice was also good. The hotel was in the design area, which suited us. Should we ever return to Helsinki, we would choose to stay here again.

Overall, I had a good stay. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. The first room they gave me was a very long walk from reception - two elevators, 4 card key entry doors. It was a very small (but cute) room. When I complained to reception that there was no where to hang my clothes (only shelves), they moved me to a bigger room, closer to reception. […] This was still not huge, but much better and with a closet. The rooms are freshly renovated. I had dinner in the restaurant which was quite good. Breakfast was excellent (wish I had more time to linger). The staff were very accommodating and friendly. I simply loved it, excellent in everything... maybe in the food, I thought they needed more variety but anyhow it worked and tasted fine.

The public rooms are fascinating, with almost a Harry Potter Hogwarts feel, with a warm welcome and friendly staff. The bedrooms are completely different, havig been recently refitted and are the best I have seen in a long time (though a little compact). When I next return to Helsinki it's Glo Hotel for sure.

Wonderful entrance/reception area. Only about 800 metre from the Helsinki centre so convienient for just about everything.........

This hotel is located within easy distance from the train station. You can take the tram or just walk.It looks like a castle from the outside, and reception is very comfortable. The rooms are very modern with scandinavian design. We walked most everywhere, but there are also numerous tram stops within walking distance. This hotel is in a great location of Helsinki and within walking distance of the main railway station, several museums and shopping areas. My initial booking was for the single room, which I found rather small. So I upgraded to a twin for the rest of the stay and that room had plenty of space. Newly redone - I was the first guest in the room. ALL is done perfect. Friendly service in reception. Good breakfast. And a very well done rework makes it a hit - especially at this price.

We stayed here for 3 nights in January and found it to be a great little place. The outside of the building is fabulous, as is the reception area. Our room was in a more modern part of the building, but it was very clean and comfortable, with nice touches such as a cuddly toy on the bed. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful- really they bent […] over backwards to help us. The buffet breakfast was surprisingly good, real cheeses and plenty of eggs, meats and other continental treats. On the final night there was a problem with our bathroom and they immediately upgraded us free of charge to a larger room to make up for the inconvenience. The location is a short walk from the main part of town- not far at all and far enough to be away from the partying and noise. There are also plenty of small shops and bars nearby should you need food. Overall I would give this hotel a 4/5- for the price I certainly wasn't expecting such great service and surroundings and I would definitely go back there again. Læs mere

converted from a beautiful old building; full of characters and details. The receptionists are by far the best I've seen. They really make effort to make you feel welcomed! I'd highly recommend it.

Hotel design is really nice. Nice library with free internet access. Rooms are confortable and well maintained. Bed is real nice. Breakfast has several options (hot and cold). The only downside was the neighborhood - which doesnt look so good and the water from shower runs below the glass door, leaving the floor (or carpet) soaked. Recommended to o […] thers. Læs mere

This hotel is rally good and with the cute castle look. The reception staffs are very nice and the sauna is really good. It is a good place to stay with.

While not awful there are better hotels for the price in the downtown area. Unfortunately, the hotel is going through a renovation which made it somewhat noisy at times. The condition of our room was poor compared to comparable hotels-- all small things that added up to an uncomfortable stay (mold in the bathroom, non-functioning lights and wifi, poor […] ventilation). I can only think that it must be related to the renovations and that maybe all rooms will be remodeled by early 2012. In the meantime, you'd do best to stay elsewhere. Læs mere

Hotel Linna is really a lovely hotel with a breakfast spread so pretty I had to take a picture --and the food was just as good as it looked! It's easy walking distance to the downtown and other areas. My only complaint was my room was a little warm for sleeping. very helpfull staff, good location, free bicycles, good breakfast buffet, nice sauna!

This is an absolutely beautiful hotel. Set in a marvelous historic setting, the rooms are modern and comfortable. There is sauna available in the eveinings and bikes for use at no cost. The breakfast was delicious - your typical smorgasbord style event. Staff was very friendly and were there to meet to your needs.

Great location, very nice staff and an oustanding breakfast. Beautiful lobby and restaurant area too.

Bit of a walk from the towncentre but worth it. Great, friendly staff, lovely rooms, handy for town. Didn't try breakfast but reckon it should be ok. Building work going on at the back...so expect early noise and strange smells.....but hej, it's the City!

can't add too much to the title, but the people working there do a great job. I'm in Helsinki often, I always stay there.

Very nice cosy hotel made with knights time style. Rooms are rather bit small, but very cute. The breakfast was very tasty, had a big variety of fresh fruits and gourmet cheese.

Hotel Linna is great value for money. Although the rooms are dated which means that the hotel is more like a 3*. It's clean and convenient and the staff are excellent. The rooms are comfortable (no thermostat, so a little hot). Unfortunately, the sauna is only open for an hour and half each evening (around dinnertime) which meant I couldn't make use […] of it. My husband is from Helsinki so we travel there frequently for long stays. We like to try different hotels and had read about The Linna in a travel guide.The hotel was everything we hoped it would be. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful with making special arrangements for us. While the room was typical European small, ours was very comfortable […] and always clean. Location was perfect, just a short walk to the city center and easy transportation. Breakfast was also very good: while not a large selection as we see in the larger hotels, it was none the less satisifing. A lovely, architecturally interesting hotel with spotless rooms--small, as often in Europe, but with high end appointments. A few minutes further to walk to main attractions than some hotels, with a couple blocks of less desirable character, but in no way dangerous. Great service, great breakfast. The value for price can't be beat.
