Days Inn Renfro Valley Mount Vernon - Mount Vernon

The room given to us was 2nd floor, closest to interstate; when I asked if we could go to first floor further away from interstate; I was told that the desk couldn't change it. I was informed earlier that we were the only checkin expected that day and the parking lot had 5 cars in it at midnight...Guess I shouldn't have prepaid the room? There was a […] layer of dust aroiund the sink/countertop by coffeepot and no conditioner available. But housekeeping was pleasantly surprised when we gave her a tip the first day ! Stayed 2 nights, very different experience than the previous 2 nights at a different Days Inn in Ohio. Good location for what we wanted to do and remember. Læs mere

Its exactly what you would expect for the money,older hotel outside entrances. It was clean and next to I-75 so very convienent. Not a place to stay several days but fine for a place to sleep and be on your way.

the employes behind the desk were not informed about out our using hotels.com they tried to get my wife to pay for the room again and again,even when checking out clerk said that hotels.com would be sending her a bill for her stay!

The only thing I had asked for first floor but was put on second.

I should have requested a lower level room as my Husband and I are both handicapped and the steps were a challenge plus the hotel needs to put a stairway in the middle of the walkway so guests do not have to walk the full length of the walkway to get to thier room. Otherwise, we had stayed at this motel before and everything else was fine.

The bed I wanted to take home with me, hardly ever do you find a bed that comfortable unless it's a five star hotel. The hotel had concrete stairs and walkways so you didn't hear anyone above, below, or around you! It was wonderful!! The people were very nice and even kept the continental breakfast open later for me! I thought that was so sweet. Nice hotel right off I-75. Good clean room, average as Day's Inns go. TV was a bit fuzzy. Desk clerk moved us to a room with a new bed (they're updating all the rooms with new beds).

The staff was terrific. The room was acceptable. The beds in our room were a bit uncomfortable but my understanding is they are scheduled for replacement very soon. The staff made all-the-difference .... they were great. We have no reason to give the property a bad mark and we will stay again.

The hotel was easy to get to and very tidy. We had three rooms, and the staff accomodated us as far as getting the roomd together. We'll stop here again next time we make the spring trek to sunshine!

water was horrible, using it for coffee didnt help much. otherwise, the hotel is old but its ok

We were allowed to check in early which was convenient. When we drove up to our room there was garbage piled by the curb from cleaning rooms...not a very welcoming sight. The room was booked as a non-smoking room, but there was a definate stale odor in the room. This hotel charges twice what it is worth if you are desperate, and only even worth that price if you like staying in rooms that look like they were repaired by stoned hamsters. The rooms are in bad repair, the furniture is shabby, the sink/shower area was nasty, and in the middle of the night I woke up to a tick crawling on my arm looking for a late […] night snack. As I was checking out the next morning, a dog had given the hotel a present on the sidewalk to the office, and the maid drove her cleaning cart right through it. Nice little intermittent stripes of dog stink 6 inches apart on the sidewalk. This is the last Day's Inn I will ever stay in. I have stayed in some nice ones, but the quality is too variable. Tonight I am paying about the same price as I paid for the hotel I am reviewing here, but am in a double queen suite in a beautiful room that is three times the size of the one I am thoroughly advising everyone to avoid. No more late night last minute bookings from the laptop for me, I've learned my lesson. If you like to get your value for your money, avoid this hotel unless your only other choice is death by exposure. Læs mere

This place is inexpensive and acceptable if you are on your way to another destination. I probably wouldn't stay here several days unless I planned on spending most of my time away from the hotel. As other gusts have stated, the beds are very, *very* firm and may be uncomfortable for anyone who likes a soft bed. But if you don't mind a firm bed, you […] should at least be satisfied. The desk staff were very polite and nice. The furnishings were dated but all in reasonable condition. My room had a small microwave and refrigerator, which are convenient for people who are just passing through and have foodstuffs with them. Very cordial check-in clerks and very nice when checking out. Clerk gave us his card and invited us back and to call him when we needed a reservation, very nice man.

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable.

We were very satisfied with our stay at Days Inn. The most important thing for us was that we get a "CLEAN" room, and we did.

Yes the rooms are small with two queen beds,but the room was clean and neat. We were very impressed with this hotel. We were pulling a 16 foot cargo trailer and there was plenty of room to park. We had two adults and two children. The room was small for the two beds, making it difficult to get ready for bed or dressed in the morning. But the staff was friendly and helpful and the location was great.

The staff was courteous and efficient and the room was clean, but the mattress was possibly the hardest one I've ever attempted to sleep on. If you don't mind a super-extra firm mattress you'll be satisfied here.

I needed an inexpensive room for a return trip, but also wanted a room that was clean and comfortable. I got all three with this hotel. It is not a high end hotel but it served my purposes just fine, and I will stay here again.
